Felt confident in their knowledge, I am switching from Choice.

We chose AFC Home Warranty because it had advantages that the other companies didn't. One example being able to choose our own vendor for repairs. That advantage we liked since we already had established repour with certain repairman. Richard Clemens our representative was very helpful. He was very accommodating, knowledgeable, and helpful in our choosing the Gold Plan.

Answered any and all questions

Spoke with my agent Kevin on the phone. He went over everything in detail and answered all of my concerns. He also got me a great deal for being a veteran. So far, smooth sailing.

I was never told that I as a consumer would be responsible for the replacement of my Microwave oven. Your company agreed to pay me replacement cost but no installation charges. I am a disabled Veteran is the reason I bought the contract, now AFC wanted me to purchase the item and wait for them to reimburse me. That still leaves me with the installation cost. I am still waiting for my reimbursement check of $258.72

Lee was great to work with and answered all our many questions that made us comfortable moving forward with the purchase.

AFC has a very strong and knowledgeable sales force. Braeden Jones handled all four of our families warranty contracts with ease. I give this company an A+ through the signup process compared with the others out there, however the other spectrum will come if and when a claim is made. That is when it will come to the “meat and potatoes”, and AFC will prove their worth to me and my family. All four policies have not taken effect yet. I will update the review at that time.

Explanation of plans were easy to understand.

Richard Clemons was a great representative and after talking with him, I jumped ship from American Home Shield who I have had for over 14 years. I am happy and hopeful to have joined AFC Home Warranty. I also recommended my best friend who will be calling him this week

I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing an AFC Home Club warranty.

I had two covered claims:

* Air conditioner replacement: $9,250
* Water heater replacement: $2,000

In both cases, AFC’s resolution was to offer $100.

The explanation was that the equipment was old and subject to depreciation. While I understand that age can affect coverage, advertising a home warranty as protection for major home systems is misleading when the actual payout for a covered failure is only $100 toward repairs or replacements costing thousands of dollars.

For my two claims totaling $11,250 in necessary repairs, AFC paid $200 total.

If you’re considering this warranty to help cover expensive home system failures, make sure you fully understand how AFC depreciation is applied and what the company is actually likely to pay before purchasing.

Horrible horrible company. Customer service was so hard to understand clearly and only call centers that just process calls. Other reps could be heard in the background and was told that they have no supervisor to be forwarded to. Only for escalations that can get back to you in 24-48 hours.
Was assigned a-US air conditioning of Texas only for that company to be equally horrible. Had to deal with another call center where I couldn’t understand anyone. They refused to give me the licensed number of the tech that would be coming to my private home and that they would let me know the “night before” what time they would show that next day. That “night before” notice was after 12am saying they would be there between 7 and 9 that morning! 6 hour notice at midnight while I was asleep!

The agent was knowledgeable and responsive...very rare these days.

I'LL LET YOU KNOW HOW YOU DO AFTER I HAVE TO FILE A CLAIM

I would never recommend AFC Home Warranty. In my experience, this company is nothing but a rip-off.

They advertise that you can receive coverage up to a certain maximum amount, but when it’s actually time to file a claim, they seem to find every reason not to pay. The only thing they covered for me was a one-time payment of $100 toward a repair that cost over $600. Everything else was denied or excluded. A second claim was the same. They offered to cover $0 dollars and I had to pay $500. Mind you, I also had to pay $75 for the technician they sent out even come.

What’s the point of paying monthly for a warranty if it doesn’t actually cover or even assist with the repairs you need? I feel like I paid for a false sense of security.

Anyone on the phone that you talk to are constantly repeating the same spiel. They offered no help and I had to be the one to direct them in remembering my claims.

Save your money and choose a different home warranty company. My experience with AFC Home Warranty was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend them.
