As someone who's worked for Agility


As someone who's worked for Agility Logistics for around ten years, I have to say, I don't trust any of the negative feedback on here. I know overseas shipping in and out and I dealt with a lot of customers who are unbelievably self-confident and don't even try to understand what they are getting into when shipping overseas. It's not that long ago when shipping from China to Europe took months and not just merely 28 days. We're talking thousands of miles distance, we're talking weather conditions, we're talking strikes, we're talking closing of trade routes, we're talking overbooking etc.

Just an update on this firm, they remain useless

Just an update on this firm, they remain useless. Refuse to answer questions about the goods they took without signature or permission of the owner, me. Effectively authorising someone to steal around £60,000 of my possessions. Pathetically they claim someone else told them to do it, and they will not act like a real company and deal with it. Avoid if you are honest and professional. Sadly this company have the MOD contract, and everyone has bad story's about them.
Agility, expect nothing and they will still disappoint you.

The worst!

The worst! They delayed, lost and canceled several of my shipments. I cannot understand how a company with such bad reputation and horrible customer service can still be in business. AVOID if you can. They won’t so anything to help you.

AVOID AT ALL COST.

AVOID AT ALL COST.
They killed our business.
We placed order with them to ship 40HQ container on Aug 17, they said they will start shipping Aug 24,and later came back and said they couldn’t get space and said next availability is SEP 5, and later on Sep 6 they said they couldn’t get space and next availability is sep 24 , later they said next availability is oct 4. I’m not sure if it will be done atleast on that date .
The biggest mistake I ever made in my business is trusting AGILITY LOGISTICS.

Don't touch with a bargepole

Would have given one star if it were possible. Overpromised and underperformed. poor and slow communications , very inefficient . We will never use again and I would urge anybody considering their services to think long and hard before doing so. they have had our money for over a week and still not arranged collection

Switch-and-bait outfit - do not trust their quotes

Switch-and-bait outfit. Provided them with EXACT dimensions and weight, received quote. Day before pickup they tried to shake me down for an additional 50% freight charge because of the size of the pallet - which they were given correctly to begin with. Their argument: The small print says quotes are just a generalized quote. Why pray do I have to give weight and dims then to obtain a quote? Don't bother. I canceled the booking and requested a refund.

Our exp. with Chicago's office of Agility

After bad experience with India office, we've decided to give them a chance and migrated
to Chicago office of Agility.

Miracles do happen - for almost half a year now, the team led by Vince Colella has been working perfectly with our cargoes from Europe, China, and other parts of the world.

Not concerned that they have bad reviews!

Being mindful of any language barriers, and delays with the current crisis.
I extensively researched buying a food truck from abroad, and paid any outstanding charges, customs laws, duty taxes, tariff, etc. With representatives changing after each contact it became clear, confusopoly was underway!
I am now faced with my worst nightmare. I regretfully chose Agility/Shipafreight to ship my food trailer from China to the USA. Since then they have changed by adding fees many times. Each of these people jointly have failed to follow through with what your corporation claims they do on a regular basis. One would think such a wide chain would be able to integrate expertise with reliable simplified operations. This is not the case.
Beyond that I was trusting information given from your company and my costs have tripled. Are they intentionally looking for ways to inflate charges?
With demurrage & detention charges now into play I’m reaching out to many in attempt to understand the confusion given and implicating the source that even up until the days before delivery their is nor was any set idea as how this food trailer would be delivered safely by a company that make claim to be the best at navigating shipping better than anyone!
Beyond that I was trusting information confusingly given by multiple representatives and my costs have tripled. I believe they are intentionally looking for ways to inflate charges. These are uncertain times for everyone, their is never a wrong time to do what is the right.

Novices at their best

Dealing with Agility was the worst experience I've ever had. Communication was terrible and only occurred when contact was made. Their complacent and negligent attitude was a costly lesson. I only wish I'd read the reviews before I chose to go with them - a HUGE mistake on my path.

Extremely bad service

Extremely bad service, still waiting for my consignment and all of my household items they are well over a month late and I have had to purchase items to get me through, a truly shocking unbelievable service. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

Take your business elswhere !!
I used to use Agility for periodic logistics deliveries across Europe. Communication was a nightmare and they never reverted but I have to admit that they always did deliver on time when they actually did do the job. I just asked for a quote for another delivery and didn't get a response after 5 days so I e-mailed again and got a response from a certain Julia simply saying 'we are unable to help you at this time'.
No explanation no information no common courtesy
