Do not join with this bank. Benefit not better. I was with TD Canada Trust when it was Quinte First, I never had a problem with Quinte first, however since I signed up and got 300.00 CAD in
for joining, and setting up my credit card and cellphone payments it's been an c#nt to use Alterna Savings. I never signed up to be apart of Alterna Savings b#llshit, their app doesn't work, I have the pending screenshots, I was told by the company it was a default with my bank, my bank passed the blame onto the casino. I have lost money in limbo because their system f#cked up after sending an e-transfer and here they said 1-3 busniess days that was 11 days ago since Quinte first sent that email, it has been. A few months since Quinte was bought by alterna. And now I'm looking to find bank I can trust the the same.
I do not like Alterna Savings they can and will be outdated and lie to the consumer, I'm already looking into switching my account to another bank. F#ck you altera fix your sh8t. You ain't children.🙄
Members of Pace for many years, now with Alterna
We were members of the Pace Credit Union for many years and everything was going fine! Great service at the Mississauga Branch - we bank at the Matheson Br and previously, when Pace had an Office at Square One! So we go back that many years!
Then came along Pace Securities and that was a disaster for many of us. We had built tremendous CONFIDENCE in Pace Credit Union and felt very secure that, as we retired, Pace Securities would be good for us. But a couple of Officers at the Pace Board had different, self seeking, objectives! The father and son team of the Smith family who shattered our dreams! Their case is being handled by KPMG and we are still waiting to hear the outcome, the fair and just outcome!
We are now with Alterna and after initial
"teething" problems we are happy. The service at the Matheson Branch, particularly by Anna Coccavo, Kavita Vyas, Aldale Johnson, Rita, Karen and the Manager Peter Jeyaraj, is highly commendable. We are happy and feel that they have OUR interests at heart!
We hope our Confidence in Alterna is maintained by Management and that we Senior Retirees will not have to face what we did towards the end of the Pace era.
We are not that computer savvy, and hope and pray that the Management of Alterna will continue to have and watch over the "Bells and whistles" that fraudsters may come up with and safeguard our financial assets!

Very poor customer service & lack of communication
They don't answer the phone anymore since Alterna took over. They don't return calls either. I have been inquiring since January about sudden Bank charges to my account. In December, I threatened to change banks and the teller Rose, told me, "make sure you don't forget to notify revenue canada about your direct deposits"! So I have been slowly transferring my money and direct payments to another institution. I've never been more displeasedwith a bank in my life.

I didn't sign or have/had any agreement with them, as I saw my bank account alert and they charged me over $140.
I don't have any emails received from them or I sent them ine other than the complain what I have written!
I dint know how and where did they get my bank informations!
If they don't put money back to my account and don't send me an apology with EXPLANATION ASAP.
Than I will fight for my legal rights as I am on PTSD and it has really effected me and I will need more for that.

Uses to be a great bank been with them since 2004 last few years was going down hill now that's it's alterna savings it's even wrose I called for weeks trying to get help. I had go directly to the bank to get help and was literally told by the secretary ooo yes I know my phones been ringing it's been ringing off the hook driving me nuts so I just stopped answering it. I was very angry at this point after hearing this from the secretary own mouth I just wanted to leave. If you don't like ringing phones maybe you should find a different job

They flagged an e transfer as fraud. After I verified it they sat on my money for 5 days. How are you supposed to run a busy with this type of service?
What an unprofessional establishment.
Sadly, this is a rinkydink bank that calls itself friendly. Just wow. I recently had to work with them and I swear their rules changed every day. It truly was a nightmare. Untruths, unprofessional, having a poa doesn't matter...next day it does. And so on. They even gave me someone elses statement one time! I would rather recommend hiding your money under the mattress than recommend them.

SO right now I am getting a automated replies, BUT in this it says That I must use their service before they can allow me to withdrawal. Just a quick question.......How do you think the money got there? I didn't fly in on a back of a fly and slip it in my account. I don't know *Shrugs* It came from a job I did last year, this has been so painful I don't even bother checking if its not pending anymore, YOU win payoneer, I'm sorry that you need that money maybe in the future your business will go better!
ALTERNA takes over Pace..Terrible
Alterna just merged with my credit union pace. I called on Saturday morning still waiting for a call back finally got logged in with assistance when I called this morning. No Bill payment history account history statements PAD form interact transfer access Was on hold on the chat assistance and got kicked out 3 times. Terrible start. 3 days with no access and nobody called back on the automated return call system not looking forward to doing business with them time to look elsewhere I think

Friendly and inexpensive banking, BUT there are many things that they can't do easily. I just got off the phone with them telling me "Oh, it takes 2 to 3 days to get foreign currencies". Really? I only wanted 200 Euros! They have also made me wait in the past for U.S. funds. Not impressive.
