We (my friend and I) made a booking using the autoamigos website, it got confirmed. On the day of arrival, 4 hours before we were supposed to pick up the car we got an email informing us that the reservation had been canceled, without providing any reasons. The workers in the office of OKRentACar were not aware that the cancelation had been made by AutoAmigos and not by the us, the costumers. The car had already been prepared by their team and was ready for us. The only option left was for us to pay 120€ for the exact same car we had booked for 30€ online. This is theft.

We booked a car that they didn’t have at the time of collection. So I had to get a smaller one as there were other people already waiting for over an hour in front of the cue without any certainty of when they were to get the bigger cars.
Very pleasant and polite staff but inefficient to deliver the product.

This is the second time now when I've used Amigoautos.com to rent a car. The prices are great, plenty of choices, easy booking. Only shame that I wasn't able to contact Amigosautos.com when I had problem with autoclick lisboa - to be fair - it was after Amigosautos.com working hours - but still.

Easy to book and straight forward to collect car. Be aware that although you may book insurance through Amigo Autos, the actual car hire company will request that you leave a large deposit. We did this using a credit card and there were no issues on returning the car.

The customer service at AmigosAutos could not provide more information about the rented car, i.e. they did not know the classification of the cars and what could I expect instead of the car I ordered (if they don't give me the one I want).

I have rated this on the ease with which to purchase a voucher on the internet. However, until we have actually used the company it is not easy to rate overall.
I sincerely hope our experience with you will be good as the press on 'car hire' abroad is not good at the moment.

Paid a deposit for the car roughly £7.00 online before I left to go to Ibiza , I had to pay £47.00 which was stated as the only payment I would have to make upon picking up the car , once I got to Ibiza I had to meet another company "record go" which drove me to pick up the rental and fill out paper work I was then told £47 , was not the only amount I had to pay, I would have to £177 plus the £47 , plus extra £10 per day for insurance plus leave a deposit of £900 on my credit card, (i needed the car for 4 days) it was for a ford Kia , i was upset as I was not told the total amount from the first deposit I made online , I declined to take the car and got a better deal from another company!

A good booking experience with one caveat. Excess insurance was compulsory with online booking, but when I went to pick the car up from a third party, they tried to sell me a further excess policy which I thought was out of order.

I tried several yimes with one credit card and nothing happened when i tried. No medsages about why it was failed. Next credit card was acceoted without problem .

Terms and conditions not clear at all. I wanted a rent a car with desk at the airport and ended up with a company that had a desk at the "business terminal", which is 10min drive from the passenger terminal. On top of that, they didn't precise an out of hours pick up fee of 40€ I had to pay on arrival. I won't use this broker again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

My daughter is standing in Ibiza Airport, having booked a car through AmigoAutos last night for £72. Got 2 emails from AmigoAutos acknowledging receipt of payment and that confirmation was pending. Arrived at airport and rang AmigoAutos who said they could see the booking but she could not contact the car hire company. So they have now had to book a car at airport prices - 285 Euros! I cannot understand why you accept a late booking and payment if you cannot supply the car. I trust that you will be refunding her and also making a contribution towards her car hire. She said that the person on the phone at AmigoAutos was not very helpful at all.

The interface at AmigoAutos was rather easy to follow. However, there were many hidden fees, of which either came up after choosing the reservation, or at the actual time of picking up the car for rental. I received an email a day from a third party with respect to extra insurance "needed". When arrived to pick up my car, it was not there. I was also unable to choose the insurance on my credit card as opposed to what was "pre-selected" by AmigoAutos. I'd highly recommend using the car rental website over AmigoAutos.com, even if it costs a little more, because you know exactly what you will be receiving. ALSO ... AmigoAutos charged me for the reservation of which, as can been seen above, did not go well.
