In the main great service and little fiction with booking and collection of car except on one occasion at the Gold Car desk at Palma airport where the desk had long queues at both sides and it took well over 90 mins standing in queue before I was served . This was the first time this had ever happened in all the years I have booked with AmigoAutos it may well be they are getting more popular and more people are using their services or it was just a particular busy day.

No recomiendo esta web para hacer reservas. Es un caos, tenía prisa, al buscar en google le di clic y resulta que en la reserva tenía demasiada letra pequeña. Lo que iba a ser 120€ se multiplicaron por 2.
La próxima vez que necesite el coche escogeré sin duda otro buscador, como Pepecar o Autoeurp, que tienen unas webs más modernas y los precios son iguales o más baratos
Puse una reclamación y perdí mi tiempo porque en su letra pequeña avisaban, Es una web para expertos en alquilar coches o para gente que se lee todo.
Para remate venden en su web un seguro que no sirve para nada, porque cuando fui a recoger el coche en el mostrador de Goldcar me dijeron claramente que me vendieron un seguro en Amigoautos que no valía para nada...
He leido opiniones de amigoautos en foros que tampoco son positivas sobre ellos por lo que no debo de ser el único que se quedó con cara de tonto tanto a la recogida del coche como en su devolución

This is the 3rd time I used amigos autos to rent a car and it will be the last. I planned a road trip with my husband for his fathers quick trip to visit us in Barcelona. This whole trip was ruined because of Amigos Autos.
We used the amigos autos website to prepay and reserved an automatic transmission car. When we arrived to pick up the car the man at the agency informed us that we had not in fact reserved an automatic car and they didn't have any for us. We called the "customer service" (if you must call it that) phone number to see what they could do for us because we were 100% sure we selected the automatic transmission filter while searching for our car (my husband and I did this together and we are both capable of using a search tool). They basically told us there is nothing they can do for us, that we don't know how to choose a car, and that it's not their fault that we can't drive manual. The only option they gave us is to cancel the reservation WITHOUT any refund.
So after taking the train an hour to arrive to the airport and going to the rental car agency we are now on the train back home having to cancel our trip and losing our money for the reservation.
All this because of an error on their part and all we get in return is an agent from this company calling us stupid. What a sad experience.

Dear Madam/Sir,
I booked a car with Gold car for 2 July until 9 July. Then I received a court summons (divorce) on 2 July so I had to cancel the above reservation. I tried to call Amigo, no answer, I sent 2 e-mails cancelling the reservation and trying to explain that I would arrive on 3 July instead of 2 July.
I arrived in Alicante on 3 July and had to MAKE ANOTHER RESERVATION. Please reimburse the amount of the previous reservation.

Rude unproffesional staff. They wanted extra 100 euro for baby seat (In case i be paid).
Finally They Refused bringing me a car at all.
I left with 6old chiled and pregnant woman at 24:00 on Malaga airport without a car.
Never amigo auto!!!!!
Give my money back!!!!!

¿Por que no ponen las cosas y los precios claros al hacer la reserva? Luego llegas a tu aeropuerto de destino, en este caso Menorca, y te vienen con este cargo y otro cargo, que te suman casi 200 euros mas y claro, dices una y no mas.
Ya henos desechado AmigoAutos y Goldcar, seguiremos probando...

Great service as ever. It would be an even better service if it was much easier to see which companies were supplying cars from a desk at the airport and which were meet and greet.

I've been using Amigo for years as I regularly travel to Spain. I've never had a problem, and they've always been excellent on price. Would recommend them without hesitation, based on my experience.

Booked on line for two days hire while in Majorca. 15euros a day. ended up paying another whopping 178 euros for insurance and a Tom tom ,, !,
Paid more for two days hire than 2 weeks hire !, would have booked for two weeks and left the car sitting at the door had we known
Won't use online booking with this company again beware hidden extras!!

We are very happy with the Amigo Auto Company. For some years we rent every year a car and we never had any trouble with it. And when there is trouble with the confirmation of the rent, they help you to get it done !
The only trouble we have is the big row for the desk at the Alicante Airport !! Because that takes time and we have to drive in the dark !
Can mostly, but not always, get the best price on this site. Nevertheless, worth a visit.
Web site could do with improvement. The input boxes for credit card details are confusing - e.g. expiry date of credit card is next to passport number which means it can easily be read as needing the expiry date of passport!
Off- site collections at airports should also be shown clearly before bookings are made.
All ready foor many years a customer and hiring several times a year a car through Amigoautos; never a complaint...
