Poor quality windows and heating !


Anchor are very good at putting up the rent and service charge but very poor at following up on repairs especially things like windows and electric storage heaters. We have windows that Anchor have put a rubber seal round to stop the water and wind ingress, it has been like that for 4 years. We have electric storage heaters that are over 30 years old with no sign of upgrades on either heating or windows. I would not recommend Anchor housing !

Requesting services

Requesting any repairs from this company is extremely stressful, even though we pay for it. Incompetent staff answering the calls who show a total lack of interest. If you make an official complaint about the service you will be fobbed of with total rubbish.

The experience was very positive

The experience was very positive. From making the enquiries to viewing the property to signing up all paperwork and moving in. The two managers were excellent in their knowledge, Advice and friendliness.

Why has my reviews of anchor properties


Why has my reviews of anchor properties been removed
They are still insisting that the extremely high water charges are correct, we have been to the CAB who couldn't understand how anchor has arrived at these figures since apparently they have known since July 25 that someone has cocked up and now want the residents to pay for their failures. We are in touch with our councillor and our MP don't reply saying ring customer care as its totally useless

Hanover-Anchor provided very


Hanover-Anchor provided very comfortable flats in very good prices and in peaceful houses in quaied areas. I live in one of them since 2021 began of COVID 19 Pandemy.

I put my name down for housing in December, I recieved confirmation early January, everything ran really smoothly, the staff at five rivers and hanover where so very helpful, I signed for my flat early February. I just can't fault anything.
Facilities are fab too. Friendly people, such a welcome bonus.

Location close to shops council house doctors dentist's beach residents very helpful and friendly building a little dated needs to be brought up to modern standards this I know would be very expensive and hard to achieve I personally like living here but could be much better

The whole place is very welcoming

The whole place is very welcoming. The manager Leigh is very helpful, friendly and gets things sorted when asked. Nothing is too much trouble. My Mum has just moved in and I have spoken to other residents many who have been here for years all their reports where positive.
