Although most people complain how things are messed up in the airport, we always come with comfort without waiting in passport lines when we travel from belgium to Antalya.

Die Mitarbeiter bei den Sicherheitskontrollen sind absolut unfreundlich. So eine Art und Weise wie man dort behandelt wird, müsste bestraft werden. Ich 54 Jahre mit meiner Mutter 82 Jahre wurden so herabwürdigend und unmenschlich durch die Kontrollen geschubst, dass ich kurz davor war die Polizei zu rufen und Anzeige zu erstatten. Trotz Herzschrittmacher wurde auf den Metaldetecktor bestanden.
Widerliche Mitarbeiter, was nimmt sich dieses Pack raus.

Three sets of security. One to enter the departures section of the airport. Then another to get to the gates/duty free area. Finally, and I didn't believe this, at the gate before boarding suitcases and personal search. I wish I had washed my underwear. On both earlier occasions there are no tables or benches to put your belts, watches and bits on. There is a poster of a cheerful child saying " I'm a hero. I passed security."

No water refill, or even single water bottles for sale outside of restaurants where they charge £2.25 for a small bottle.

On plus side there are electric outlets on some seats. WiFi can be free for an hour on scanning passport . Although you have to get the speed of swiping right.

Toilets clean and smart.

As a hint. Unfamiliar travellers will think the Reflex shop after first security is the Duty Free. That is actually a different hall after second security.

Bin gestern von Antalya zurück geflogen. Alles hat bestens geklappt. Der Flughafen ist sehr übersichtlich. Ich hatte keine langen Wartezeiten. Ich kann die ganze negative Kritik nicht nachvollziehen.
Ja, man muss ein paar Meter mehr laufen aber das ist kein Problem.

The most over priced airport I've ever been in. 10 euros for a slice of pizza. If you can, eat up before arriving at the airport. No drinking fountains to refill bottles with - all about buying more water from single use plastic. And then there are the 3 security checks to return to the UK. Just make sure you've not swam before the final swab check at security as their machines don't like chlorine! Glad not to return

I was prepared to hate this airport after all the bad reviews but tbh I can't confirm that it's the worst airport. I have heard they did some renovations a few months ago, which might have impacted it positively.
I am a frequent flyer and went through quite a few airports so I am experienced on how to be as quick as possible. I have no drop off luggage and no kids.
First, the way to the airport. The tram stops right at terminal 1, from there you go to the free shuttle bus which brings you to terminal 2. Signs are everywhere to guide you. Then "security check" nr. 1, took me 10 minutes, then printing my boarding pass 15minutes (yes, needs to be printed at the airport), passport control about 10minutes and the real security check also 10minutes. It wasn't super busy (Monday 9:30am November)
Yes, food and drinks are expensive but 7-10€ for a coffee is unfortunately normal at airports in 2025.
Overall, it was a normal airport experience.

Kofferabgabe - der Mitarbeiter ist während er die Koffer annahm, eingeschlafen ! Hat 2 Minuten ein Nickerchen gehalten. Ewig lange Laufwege, viel zu überteuert, kaum Sitzplätze, total chaotisch und gelangweiltes Personal, die den Eindruck erwecken keine Lust auf ihren Job zu haben… Schade, wir waren immer gerne in der Türkei, aber aufgrund des Flughafens entscheiden wir uns nun für ein anderes Urlaubsziel.

Antalya Airport is overpriced to the point of shocking. Food and drink is unaffordable for a family at 14 euros for one cheese sandwich from Costa.
Don’t bother to take your re-usable water bottle as there are no refillable water stations. You have to buy everything.
Wi-Fi is free for 60minutes if you can find a machine that works, to give you a code once you have scanned your boarding pass and passport!
Queues are horrendous, with so much security and double checking and searching of all bags.
Once in Security you can’t get a drink ( if you could afford on) or even go to the toilet. Also checking in starts 1 hr 30 minutes before flight and then because they do this double bag check, you miss your allocated take off time.

The airport is overcrowded and disorganised with queues everywhere and unprofessional and unhelpful staff. After ordering an extremely expensive cheese breakfast bagel and a coffee costing approx £12.50 I found out you had to queue for the bagel and then queue again for the coffee which meant the small bagel was cold by the time you found a seat to eat it.
I would never purchase food from here again (by the way this was supposed to be Macdonalds). It had the signage but definitely not the service, giving Macdonalds a bad name.

Een zeer korte termijn politiek. Jullie jagen toeristen gewoon weg op deze manier. Wordt wakker en denk eens op lange termijn. Jullie zijn het duurste vliegveld in geheel Europa, en dan ook nog zeer ouderwets. Deed mij aan de jaren tachtig denken.
Verder zeer chaotisch en 3 x pascontrole.
Sorry , maar jullie moeten nog veel leren. En dat bedoel ik goed. Denk er maar eens over na ...

Wir haben es kaum geschafft, von Kofferabgabe bis Boardingschluss. Die langen Laufwege sind unakzeptabel im T2. Wieso tut man sowas den Urlaubern an. Mit Kleinkindern oder für ältere Personen eine Zumutung.

Modern wirkt es dort, aber diese Menschenmassen fluten den Airport förmlich.
Wir waren fast 4h vorher am Flughafen, wurden dort abgekippt und alleine gelassen.
Keiner hatte eine Info, dass bei der ersten Sicherheitskontrolle Getränke noch eingebracht werden durften. Also standen wir ratlos im Raum und riskierten es am Ende einfach.
Die Getränke durften wir behalten, um dann Runde 1,5h Wartezeit beim CheckIn von SunExpress erfahren zu dürfen. Erst als eine Gruppe von anscheinend türkisch stämmigen Männern lautstark pöbelte wurden weitere Schalter geöffnet.
Nach dem CheckIn ging es dann weiter und die Menschmassen wurden durch die Sicherheitskontrolle mit anschließendem DutyFree geleitet. Zum Gate mussten wir uns dann beeilen, da Boarding um 6:10 starten sollte. Am Gate saßen wir dann das erste Mal etwa 30 Minuten herum, oben schon „letzter Aufruf“ auf dem Display stand.
Sie Lautsprecherdurchsagen waren teils überhaupt nicht zu verstehen.
Schlussendlich starteten wir mit 30 Minuten Verspätung und völlig genervt.
Das war unser erster und letzter Flug über diesem Flughafen.

Katastrophe
Das einzige, was mir bei der Organisation dazu einfällt.
ALLE Flüge einer Airline werden zeitgleich eingecheckt, was zu unglaublich langen Warteschlange führt und man das Gefühl hat, nichts geht vorran.
Weiter geht es damit, dass auch an alöen Kontrollen,welche man passieren muss, lange Schlagen sind.
Von den langen Wegen innerhalb des Flughafens ganz zu schweigen.

EINE einzige Rolltreppe hat die Passagiere in die untere Etage zu den weiteren Gates gebracht.Wie eng und was für ein Gedränge dort geherrscht hat, muss ich nicht extra betonen.
Wir haben unseren Flieger nur noch knapp erreicht.
Ich möchte nicht wissen,wie es anderen ergangen ist und sie nicht mehr pünktlich gekommen sind.

Daher würde ich bei der Rückreise immer eine reine Zeit zum einchecken von mindestens 4 Stunden einplanen.

Noch zu erwähnen wäre,dass unserer Flieger um 5:45 Uhr gegangen ist.

Zu loben ist jedoch die Sauberkeit innerhalb des Flughafens.

I have travelled the world though many airports over the last 60 years and Antalya Airport must rate as the worst experience for me in that time.
We were advised to arrive early by our air operator as there was a further security check. On arrival at the airport T2 we were subject to a bag Xray and body scan and then progressed to check in. After check came passport control followed by a more thorough baggage Xray and body scan. We thought that was it with security but the worst was yet to come. Aircraft gate information was posted at 20.05 with gate close advised as 20.55. After the inevitable hike we arrived at the gate to be met by an officious lady who visually scanned our passports and ticket after which my wife and I we waved through into the seating area and my daughter and grandson (8) were selected for further checks. The hand baggage of both were emptied and all electronic games consoles had to be removed and were subject to close visual inspection including being switched on and swabbed for some reason. After that came a personal body search by one of the two ladies carrying out the checks on on ladies and children. This was a close body examination on top of the clothing including the breast and genital areas carried out in full view of all the passengers at then gate. I saw young children being swabbed during this process. This whole process was random which I recognise is the purpose but with a plane load of 200 tourists at the end of a long day it caused a massive delay and an incredible level of unnecessary stress for I would say no credible risk mitigation when considering the risk profile of the passengers on that flight. We will never travel again to Antalya airport and would advise others to seek an alternate holiday to avoid the place. Many people we spoke to expressed the same opinion. The responsible authorities should look carefully at all of the adverse comments of a similar nature and look to improve the visitor experience.

Das neue Terminal haben wir in diesem Jahr das zweite Mal erlebt. Wir hatten zu keiner Zeit lange Wartezeiten. Vom Ablauf an sich war alles OK. Auch die Wege zu den Gates sind OK, wie auch bei anderen großen Flughäfen. Es gibt jedoch viel zu wenig Sitzmöglichkeiten und astronomische Preise in den gastronomischen Bereichen! Der Hammer war jedoch beim Einchecken, dass unsere Tochter auf Grund von Mückenstichen im Gesicht (die auch als solche erkennbar waren) nur mit einer Flugtauglichkeitsbescheinigung fliegen durfte. Der Arzt hat sie nicht einmal angeschaut/untersucht, uns nur die Bescheinigung ausgestellt für 120 Euro. So kann man auch Geld verdienen! Auf dem Weg zum Gate hörten wir, dass es einer weiteren Familie ebenso erging…

Gepäckannahme bei Sun Express ohne Zuordnung Schalter Zielflughafen. Alle Fluggäste durcheinander. 15 Schalter für 11-12 Flugzeuge zusammen aufgerufen. Somit hohe Zeitverzögerung, da andere Passagiere sich zu früh eindrängeln und die, welche dringlicher einchecken müssen nicht vor kommen. Ellenbogentechnik und Wutausbrücke bringen die Polizei vor Ort. Somit verstreicht Zeit und der Flieger ist weg. Dann gibt es nur noch auf eigene Kosten neuen Flug buchen. Auf dessen Wartezeit lernt man andere Pechvögel kennen. (alle welche mit Euro zahlen) Ist da System hinter?

This is the worst airport experience l have ever had to endure, l was in a party of 4 with one of us a severe asthmatic, our baggage was lost ( still in Antalya Airport) for all 4 of us., the relentless walking took its toll on all of us in our 60s and over, we went through what felt like unlimited frisking and bag checks which we have never experienced before anywhere in the world. One having swabs taken?? We arrived late at Liverpool airport to find baggage was still in turkey, We loved our hotel and the warm Turkish people but we will never return to Turkey because of the horrendous experience of the airport and it’s incredibly bad performance.

Wir sind auch aus allen Wolken gefallen bei den Preisen, 4 Cheeseburger und 2 kleine Kaffee für sage und schreibe 51€ bei Mc Donalds. Als wir wieder in Hannover gelandet waren, haben wir für die gleiche Bestellung knapp 17€ bezahlt. Einfach nur Wahnsinn und haben wir auch noch nicht an irgendeinem anderen Flughafen in diesem Ausmaß erlebt. Da wir diesen Wahnsinn nicht unterstützen, boykottieren wir grundsätzlich die Verpflegung an diesem Flughafen... Einfach sprachlos!!!

Katastrophaler Flughafen,eventuell gut gedacht aber schlecht gemacht.
Die Erholung von 2 Wochen Urlaub waren dahin nachdem man entlich mal sein Gate gefunden hatte .12 Minuten Fussweg vom Einchecken bis zum Gate mit 2 kleinen Kindern ist schon sportlich.Im alten Flughafen war es schon caotisch aber im jetzigen ist man einfach verloren und orientierungslos.
Und wir waren noch nichtmal an einem Samstag /Sonntag (letze Ferientag) da .
Wir sind schon wieder urlaubsreif nach einen 3 Stunden Besuch am Antalya Flughafen.

Shame I can't leave 0 stars. I have travelled for years and have never experienced such a poorly run chaotic airport. The queues are just horrific at every point (this included 3 rounds of searches which I have never seen anywhere else). From arrival at the airport to getting to the departure lounge was nearly 2 hours. This included queues to get through initial security searches, queues to check in, queues for passport control and queues for second security searches. We made it the departure lounge with very little time to spare, desperate for the toilet. Again we had to queue as the ones nearest the entrance to the departure lounge only had 3 cubicles and 3 urinals! Who on earth designed that?! The toilets were filthy and stank too. To access WiFi you need to get a code from a machine however these are scarse and you guessed it, have long queues. It's 2025, surely freely available WiFi is the norm in an airport? The airport is extremely hot too, and this is in October, not even peak summer season.
Busy airports in the world recognise when they can't cope with the volume of customers and then open additional terminals. If Antalya want to offer any level of appropriate customer service they should consider building new terminals and spreading the numbers out rather than having tens of thousands flow through a single terminal every hour, as it simply cannot cope with the numbers of people.
Overall, by far the worst airport experience I have ever endured. I will actively avoid Antalya as a travel destination going forward solely to avoid this diabolic airport.
