Our storage items were delivered safely and on time, as advised in emails and phone calls by the Armishaws Team. Dan and Kyle were extremely professional, efficient and pleasant and we are very grateful for their efforts. Highly recommended.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Dan and Kyle who successfully moved us from Wiltshire to Wales this week.
Their attention to detail when loading and unloading made the whole process so smooth. They made suggestions and offered ideas to help us through the whole move.
Even though there were a few tricky junctions and turnings on the route,they didn't complain. They took it all in their stride with smiles on their faces.
Dan and Kyle,we couldn't have done it without you, so big thanks from Sara and Jason.

Paul and Martin did an excellent job on both pack up and delivery. They were great at keeping in contact for timings and logistics, and really friendly, which also helps! They helped make the moving process really smooth.
Andrew at HQ was also great, very efficient with paperwork and keeping us in the loop with logistics. He worked wonders at changing our dates with 3 days notice.
Overall great experience with Armishaw’s.

Alan, Chris and John stepped in and were marvellous and had us out and in to our new home very effectively and were not phased by some large pieces of furniture.

Arrived on time, assessed loading requirements, asked our preferences, kept us informed, very friendly, worked hard at both collection and delivery. Very satisfied, the removal men are to be praised for all their efforts. Everything went perfectly.

Moving is a very stressful occasion and the team who arrived promptly as advised very efficiently just got on with the job. Dan and his young assistant Rory were very pleasant and very helpful and between them and the rest of the team the two vans were quickly loaded. We can highly recommend the team at Wincanton along with their extra support from Salisbury depot to anyone considering a company to move them.

Excellent service from the initial quote to the day of removal. We had a lot to move (and going a fair distance) and the team worked hard to get it all done over a few days.

This was without question one of the most stressful and upsetting experiences we have ever had — and that is entirely down to Armishaws.

We were moving from a large nine-bedroom house into two smaller properties ( a very expensive move ), with items also going into storage. It was a complex move, yes — but that is exactly why you hire professionals. Instead of making things easier, they made an already difficult situation unbearable.
On the week itself, they refused to move one of our sofas because it was “not on their list.” This was never raised beforehand and left us scrambling to sort it out ourselves in the middle of moving day.
Completely unacceptable and utterly unprofessional.
The tone throughout was confrontational and unhelpful. Rather than problem-solving, we were met with arguments. The stress they created reduced us both to tears. No one going through a house move should be treated that way.
And it didn’t stop there.
The storage process was just as frustrating. We had to send 18 emails just to access our own belongings, and each access came with a £150 charge. When we finally arranged to attend, no proper time was given — we were simply told someone would “come and open up arguing that we had a time slot - which they had omitted to give to us! ” The whole system felt obstructive and unnecessarily difficult.
In the end, we paid another company to remove our furniture from their storage purely so we would not have to deal with them any longer. That says everything.

Do not be fooled by the smart branding, glossy website or impressive lorries. What matters in a move is professionalism, flexibility, leadership and basic decency. In our experience, those were seriously lacking.

I’m sure they will suggest we were “difficult.” We weren’t. It was a complicated move — and they made it far worse than it ever needed to be.

If you are already stressed about moving, this is the last company you want involved.

Its taken me along time to write this as i still find the wholeexperience so upsetting .. I have moved since with no issues , there are decent companies out there - this just isnt one of them !!

Paul and another person who wear glasses. Since, this is my first time moving home as families serving in the army, they were super fast and at the same time cautious with the things they are packing. They are friendly, generous and helpful. My 5 star to them. Hats off.

What a great experience! from day one to the final box, Very competitive, I got a couple of quotes and Armishaw came out on top, I just got a good vibe from the moment the survey was conducted. Everyone very professional, knowledgeable and polite, I felt comfortable throughout the whole process. A big thank you to Dan & Kyle who moved us, the weather was awful but they just got on with it, nothing was to much trouble everything ended up where we wanted it. Despite the rain nothing was damage and nothing got wet. Great job Thank You!

The moving crew that came to our house and helped pack up our house were fantastic. We had 4 on the first day and 2 on the second. They were polite, careful with their parking and helpful at moving us in the order that was most helpful to us (I.e. downstairs first, then upstairs and then the garden).
We were very glad to have such a fab team.

I couldn’t be happier with the service from Armishaws from the first enquiry to the final box being unloaded, everything was handled professionally and efficiently.

They were friendly and respectful, and took great care with all of our belongings. Nothing was damaged, and even the awkward, heavy items were moved with ease. They worked quickly but carefully what is usually a stressful experience feel surprisingly smooth.

I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy removal company. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

We’ve recently moved house and used Armishaws to help us move. They were helpful throughout the whole process and it was simple and straight forward, the two removal men we had help us were what made it run as smoothly as possible, Darrin and Ryan! They were polite, helpful and down to earth. Nothing was too much of an ask, even helping us with tools we need to take furniture apart when we couldn’t get it out the doors. They made a stressful house move that little less stressful!!

I can’t recommend Martin and Paul enough! Such lovely men. We explained that we needed to be leaving one house at 12 to collect our keys to the next one due to an error at our new house, but they were so understanding and speedy helping us get to our destination on time. They also managed to deliver all our furniture the same evening, meaning we could have our house unpacked and ready for our children coming home. They made our move as smooth as possible and honestly took so much pressure off us by being so efficient. I hope we get Martin and Paul on any future moves we have as I know we will be in great hands.
I can’t thank them enough for all there hard work and helping us so much through what’s normally a very stressful time but with their help it was not stressful at all!

We had a really fantastic experience with Dan and Kyle. They were professional, punctual and handled everything with great care. They worked efficiently while still being very mindful of fragile items and they made the entire moving process smooth and stress-free. Their positive attitude and teamwork really stood out and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was placed exactly where we wanted it.

We received a quote from Armishaws several months ago and paid £100 to be placed on their “preferential list.” At the time, we were strongly encouraged to do this, being told that because they are such a large company it was highly unlikely they wouldn’t be able to accommodate our preferred moving date. We were also told that while cheaper companies might exist, they were far more likely to be unavailable.
Since then, when trying to confirm a date, we’ve repeatedly been told that they only have one lorry available on the day we want to move and that almost everyone is on the “preferential list,” meaning we could lose the date if someone else books first. This directly contradicts what we were told during the initial visit and makes the £100 fee feel misleading.

To better understand what the £100 actually guarantees, I contacted their office and unfortunately their group sales manager picked up. In line with other 1 star reviews, I have never experienced such rudeness, particularly as a paying customer. He repeatedly interrupted me mid-sentence and, when I politely asked to finish speaking, he became hostile and aggressive.

In all my years of dealing with service providers, I have never been spoken to in such a dismissive and confrontational manner. The tone and hostility of the conversation was genuinely shocking and far below any acceptable standard of customer service.

The level of disrespect in his tone was evident from the start and completely unacceptable. As I am heavily pregnant and trying to avoid unnecessary stress, I ended the call. My husband then phoned back and spoke to the same man, who was equally rude, aggressive, and continued to interrupt him throughout the conversation.

I can’t comment on the actual removal service itself (and won’t be able to as we are now going with a much friendlier, customer focused company!) but based on our experience, particularly our interactions with their group sales manager, I would strongly advise avoiding this company.

Armishaws moved my parents in-law from Surrey to West Wales... everything thing ran smoothly and to the plan laid out in advance. Thanks to Paul and Alex , great job lads..still rather it's you than me driving that road train round the narrow Welsh countryside roads.
