Licenses

I paid an autodesk license along with a 3ds max course one year ago. It was supposed to last a year, but in fact it lasted 5 months. I contacted the customer service and they said they would renew the license, which they actually did, but it just worked for 1 day.
I tried to contact them again and reopen my ticket as indicated but my emails were rejected.
I got bored and switched to blender.

When we were studying architecture in uni years ago, it was impossible to use autocad with a student license, even if our university (which is one of the most known in Europe) had this agreement for student licenses with autodesk. Unfortunately, using autocad was mandatory. Students were stressed and faced many legal and technical issues due to the market control autocad had created.

False Pricing

My Fusion 360 Legacy (3 year term) is coming up for renewal and it was supposed to have a price lock for being a legacy subscriber. I originally paid $934.50 and the renewal is $1,836.00. I reached out to customer service but have been getting the run around for several days.

I just tried out an Autodesk product…

I just tried out an Autodesk product ... BAD IDEA.

I now have a piece of crap left over that is refusing to uninstall that I am being told through an internet search will not uninstall for weeks after the product was uninstalled. Product is gone but this Virus is hanging around - this is unacceptable and It needs to be gone NOW!!
Microsoft defined any software that does things other than expected by the user as being a Virus! this is a virus!

Licence Renewal

We have been an Autodesk client for over 30+ years (with a short break 15 years ago) and recently tried to renew our Bim 360 Doc subscription which we use to store all our intellectual property (project drawings and documentation). Last week, for the first time since subscribing in 2020, we were unable to renew our subscription due to the website not being able to process our payment. Many attempts were made to remit payment prior to the expiry of our subscription and we contacted the help desk days prior to expiry. Unfortunately Autodesk's response was to put it onto us to restart our computers, delete our caches and log on with other accounts, autorenew our subscription or pay for a 3 year term, rather than looking at their own payment portal and making a meaningful attempt to resolve the issue that was clearly at their end. It took Autodesk 7 days to take the matter seriously and actually resolve the problem during which time we lost access to our intellectual property in the form of our drawings and documentation, preventing us from meeting client deadlines and effectively operate our business. When the matter was escalated by us on day 7, Autodesk were able to extend our subscription. About that same time the issues with payment on their website were rectified and we were able to remit payment. Unfortunately, after making payment, we were again locked out of Bim360 Docs. Again we restarted our devices, deleted caches and logged in with different users and we still could not access the product for which we had now paid. The website to login to Bim360 Docs was a completely different interface and when we attempted to login it just returned to the same page. It took a further 3 days for Autodesk to resolve this problem. It should be noted that the on-seller we have used for the last 20 years admitted they do not really know this product to be much help.

We have attempted to contact Autodesk to discuss our complaint, the time this has wasted and the impact this has had on our business to no avail. Instead we have received a sunny apology from Support for the 'inconvenience'. For the moment we are obligated to use Bim 360 Docs even though we have lost trust in Autodesk being able to support their own product. I am more than happy for Autodesk to contact us in regards to our complaint. We have invited them to do today and to date they have chosen not to respond.

Horrible licencing system

I hate the licencing system. Crashes about 50% of the time at startup and sometimes takes 7 times to launch successfully. Horrible buggy software. I use many other software products and do not get this from any of them

egentlig meget fint og lave diverse konstruktioner i, også når man for det gode flov, det kæmpe problem er når man skal gemme ting, så tot man bare det er gemt og sikret men når man skal finde det frem igen, så er det umuligt, og hvis man åbner det forkert bliver det slettet, og deres fismed at man kan få det tilbage er noget fub det virker af H til

Autodesk - Kundenfreundlichkeit? Nichts da!

Autodesk wissen was für eine Kraftvolle Software sie mit AutoCAD besitzen. Ich war Dozent an einer Bildungseinrichtung und habe meine Auszubildenden mit AutoCAD und Inventor ausgebildet. Inzwischen bilde ich nicht mehr aus, da man als Dozent einfach zu wenig verdient.

Ich selbst besitze privat einen 3D-Drucker und habe immer gerne mit AutoCAD von Autodesk gearbeitet.

Autodesk verwehrt aber Privatleuten einen bezahlbaren Zugriff zu ihrer Software. Auch Fusion360 haben die inzwischen für Privatleute von kostenlos zu unbezahlbar gemacht.

Auch generell muss man sagen, das Autodesk sehr Kundenunfreundlich und ohne jede Kundenorientierung agiert. Es werden wichtige 3D-Formate aus der Software entfernt, damit sie ihre andere Software verkaufen und sich nochmal eine goldene Nase an weit überteuerten Jahresabonnements verdienen können. Updates sind keine "echten Updates". Es sind einfach nur Downgrades von viel Funktionen zu immer weniger. Software ist so instabil, wie noch vor 30 Jahren. Bei dem Updates geht es vermutlich nur darum, um eine neue Jahreszahl hinter den Produktnamen zu schreiben und ehemalige Funktionen als Optional anbieten zu können.

Sowas nenne ich nicht sehr Kundenfreundlich.

Bin nun auf FreeCAD bzw. der Modifikation "ONDSEL SE" umgestiegen. Empfehle ich allen Privatanwendern oder auch Geschäftstreibenden, um Autodesk mal zu zeigen, das man deren Software nicht zwingend braucht.

I am rewriting this new review because…

I am rewriting this new review because Trustpolit saw fit say that AutoDesk® did not help me and took down my last last review of AutoDesk® support. Still I would like to think those at the support chat on 4/7/2024 for getting me up and running. I was able to get the letter embossing completed and in the 3d printer. Everything Looks Great! The Bible I think will turn out great. I am grateful for your help even if this review is allowed up either.

Horrible Support

Rubbish support, I have a simple but ongoing case, first I try Live Chat where I'm connected to an offshore operator who has no idea about Autodesk Software, he just keeps "apologizing", "thanking me for my patience" and "forwarding article links". After an hour of wasting time, he forwards my case and abruptly ends the chat, however, nothing happens afterward. Then, I've scheduled a phone appointment with Autodesk at 12.30, but nobody calls, I especially took time off from work for this call.
I'm gradually switching to other Sofware to avoid Autodesk like the plague, it's obvious over the years they have not been developing technology but only cash-grabbing as much as they can from customers in exchange for the usual bug-riddled Software stuck in time for 10 years.

Auto subscription never taken & closed programming blaming the bank

Auto subscription was on and they sent receipt of payment taken then 3 days later got an email confirming a refund saying bank stopped the payment. However in reviewing & speaking to the bank they confirmed payment was never taken in the first place. Now when I am trying to make payment to rebuy the program its blaming the bank yet tried many different options. For urgent enquiries was given an email however I am still waiting from Friday for an answer obviously not very urgent service. Clearly shows there system and customer service is lacking

I was gonna purchase a autocad for my railroads but could never talk to support they are using AI to handle live chat wow company is a piece of garbage glad I never purchased anything from this company and i uninstalled trial and our computer division cleaning hard drive to make sure they not spying. Would never recommend this company to anyone

Schlecht gemacht

Ich versuche mich seit EINER STUNDE auf deren Müll Website anzumelden um Zugang zu den Programmen zu bekommen für die ich bezahlt habe und NICHTS FUNKTIONIERT. Die wollen das ich meine E-mail bestätige aber ES WIRD NIE EINE BESTÄTIGUNGSEMAIL GESCHICKT. Und um den Support anzuschreiben muss man angemeldet sein, WAS IST DAS FÜR EINE LOGIK?

Disgusting filthy company.

Disgusting filthy company.
I have had on of their products for 13 years, hard copy bought and paid for. Having had a hardware problem on my computer, I had to reinstall it, it installed okay but when I went to open it a further request for proof was required and could be accessed by request. I requested this but was told mt product is no longer supported so they refused to let me open it.
I went to my account and the item was shown in my products. I told them that this is proof of my purchasing the software; and what did they do? They deleted it from my account!
I can no longer use my own property.

Never buy autodesk products

Never buy autodesk products. I used fusion for several years but the renewal and helpdesk is the worst experience ever. After an employee renewed my subscription he also cancelled it again after two weeks after a little over 20 contact moments with the helpdesk I was locked out of my account and had the pay an additional €150 to get my account working again. The helpdesk has not been able to solve any of the problems they created themselves. Even after being locked out to their wrong doing they were unwilling to reactivate my account
