They keep taking money without any authorisation from my Credit Card. This is AFTER they have had to refund money to me for the same errors almost 2 years ago. Appalling and scandalous behaviour. I am awaiting yet another refund.
As of mid-March 2017, this money has now been refunded. Thank-you.

I have been a member of AVAAZ for many years. Signing petitions, donating now and then. This morning AVAAZ withdrawed money from my account without me authorising it. This is really of big concern, as AVAAZ claims that visacardnumbers are not kept at the website. I mailed a complaint and got an autoresponse saying that I will get an answer within a week. I find it shocking that one cannot trust an organisation, that claims to work for the good worldwise. I had my visacard cancelled just in case. And sadly I will not be part of AVAAZ any more.

J'ai assisté à une réunion d'Avaaz pour mobiliser à la veille du COP21 à Paris. Bel échec. Comme moi, quelques centaines de personnes s'étaient déplacées pour entendre un discours politique, accueillir une vision... A la place on a eu, très bêtement, une simple injonction : il faut sortir à telle date dans la rue pour faire nombre. On a été nombreux à partir avant la fin.
Le modèle économique d'Avaaz est de nourrir son fichier des adresses email que les créateurs de pétition mobilisent. Avaaz n'est pas une ONG, ni un parti, ni même un groupe de réflexion. La preuve - vous y trouverez des pétitions qui se combattent les unes les autres. C'est un prestataire de service gratuit. Qui aspire les coordonnées de ceux qui votent pour les pétitions. Une sorte de Facebook pétri de bonnes intentions. Bien joué !

Had put a nagging review 2 weeks ago, and this is the update as promised. After all not that bad.

I had made 3 donations this year, when I found out an automatic donation from my credit card which was going on since end of 2014. The auto donations had summed up to more than 100$, so decided immediately to send an email to "donations at avaaz", and two more afterwards, no reply from 11-Nov to 11-Dec. Finally got my money back and transactions stopped.

My tip: just be patient, it takes time...

Writing from London,UK:Around September-end this year,Wanting to support a good cause,I signed up online for a recurring donation of $5(5 US dollars) via Paypal which comes to about £2.52).Found that £252(TWO HUNDRED&FIFTY TWO POUNDS) had been taken off my VISA debit card!I Wrote to AVAAZ on their website form.No reply.Stopped the donation forthwith and out of courtesy,let them know on their website form.Subsequently,kept getting emails that my recurring donation hadn't gone through,which I took in good faith.All the time,£20 was being charged to my card as I found out.You can imagine how disgruntled I am.Wrote to them again.No reply.My bank says they can put a stop to further transactions but can't claim back ones that thane already been processed,no matter how unauthorised or fraudulent they may be.Very helpful.I have now referred the matter to Trading Standards.Avaaz,if you have any credibility or integrity,you who claim to want to make the world a better place,YOU WOULD GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK.

First, I like the idea of online petitons and many I agree with.

Though I get a LOT of spam EVERY time I sign an Avaaz petition!

Either their system is compromised and somone is hacking my emails they gather from me - or they just sell it to third parties - but they say tey do not do this. This only happens when I sign Avaaz petitions.
Is anyone experiencing the same problem?

Idée absolument géniale, Avaaz, c'est pour moi un outil démocratique.
