Avenger 4X4

Quite a few years ago, I had a minor mechanical issue with my Defender. I happened to be leaving a car park near to Avenger 4X4. I called in and asked if they might be able to help me out, which they did; no charge.

Fast forward to summer 2023, when my Defender required very major works. Based on their helpful attitude, I asked Avenger for a quote, which I accepted. A couple of weeks after my vehicle went in, the work was complete and within budget. Allen kept me informed about the job and associated costs as the work progressed. All the corroded and defunct parts were available for me to examine. An experienced friend took the vehicle out for a test drive before I accepted it back. Allen took the time to explain everything they’d done, along with possible teething issues. As I mentioned, my vehicle had major surgery. I am happy I went to Avenger.

If you want shiny floors, a showroom full of shiny new vehicles and you want to pay equally shiny prices, then don’t go to Avenger 4X4. If you want down to earth service and you don’t want to be ripped off, then do go to Avenger. If you happen to be a female on your own, you’ll be okay too. There’s no plush seating and no coffee machine, but who do you think is actually paying for that stuff anyway?

Not quite good experience after waiting 3 weeks for diagonse and been charged £70 fee just to hear "we are not sure, please come back in 1 month time" . Especially if I went with my Evoque in some polish ,completely 4x4 unrelated garage , problem diagsed within 2 hours and car collected next day. Also I've suggested what could be an issue(apparently good guess) but just been told garage never faced this problem in the past 🤷‍♂️

Helpful, straightforwards and honest. Deal with what's important for the vehicles, not like main dealers which tend to concentrate on their profit and loss accounts. Very fair labour rates. Reliable over several years as a customer
