Absolutely fantastic service! I was literally pain free from 1st session

I came to Back to Health having had two back injuries, one with a fractured coxis and the other a fractured L4 vertebrae. The last injury was a year old and old and I’d recovered from both. However, I was having hip pain whenever I walked any distance.

Over the course of 18 months, Andrew corrected my spine’s alignment which had been thrown out with the accidents. Alongside the monthly corrections I used a traction black daily to help with the realignment.

My back is now a perfect curve and I have no more hip pain. Andrew is excellent, adapting to what my body needed in each session. Even before I mentioned any pain he would asses me and go straight to the point where I was hurting.

I can highly recommend Back to Health. I have decided that I can spend money on clothes, creams and stuff….or invest in my body which I live in every day!

I came in with a persistent hip issue that had been keeping me out of training, and within a few months, I'm pain-free and back at it, which really says it all. I saw several members of the team during my sessions, including Akash, Natalia, Garth and Andrew, and each of them was friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely invested in helping me get better. I also had an X-ray and custom insoles made as part of the rehab, both of which made a real difference. The whole thing felt thorough and joined-up rather than just turning up session by session. Excellent service! Andrew is super knowledgeable osteopath who has been crucial to my spinal and overall health improving. Beforehand I didn’t think that my spine could be corrected the way it has been now— all thanks to the advice, care and work that Andrew and his team have provided. Overall I highly recommend to anyone, young or old, who is looking to improve their spinal health!

After struggling with severe sciatica and nerve-related pain for over a month, I found myself unable to walk, stand, or sit comfortably for more than a few minutes. I’d seen several physiotherapists elsewhere, most of whom misdiagnosed the issue as Piriformis Syndrome, which only made things worse.

Everything changed when I visited Back to Health in Guildford. Emma and Andrew were both outstanding. They carried out on-site X-rays, took the time to properly assess my symptoms, and their insights helped bring clarity to what had been a frustrating and painful experience.

In parallel, I arranged a private MRI through Vista Health. Using the radiologist’s report and additional tools — including ChatGPT to help interpret the findings — I reviewed the scan myself and identified a moderate disc bulge at L4–L5, a minor one at L3–L4, and no significant abnormality at L5–S1. This aligned perfectly with what Emma had already suspected through her physical assessment, which gave me even more confidence in her expertise. Emma also rightly identified some conflicts between the MRI imaging report and what was evident from the location of pain points, which was a classic bulge at L5/S1, and no knee pain that would have resulted from an L4/L5 bulge evident from the MRI Image.

Emma’s hands-on work was nothing short of remarkable. Within 24 hours of our last session, my pain level had dropped dramatically — the first real relief I’d had in over five weeks. For the first time, I could sit upright, walk without flare-ups, and function more normally. I am now looking forward to a previously booked activity holiday in France with family that I nearly cancelled, as even getting on the flight looked like an impossible challenge to undertake.

My back pain started in 2021 after changing my car. It progressively got worse to the point I couldn't sit in a car for any longer than 30 minutes without getting out in real pain. I had no prior issues with my back (lower lumbar area) and I thought it was simply down to choosing a car with particular uncomfortable seats. However, after changing to another car I realised I was uncomfortable in almost all cars. My first point of call was seeing an Osteopath who treated me regularly and this gave me some relief but didn't improve anything. I then changed to see another osteopath/chiropractor and treatments went on until 2023. With the pain now becoming 'chronic' and discomfort while in a car un-bearable I went to the NHS who had a 12 month waiting list. Deciding I needed resolution quicker I decided to go privately and see a spinal specialist who after conducting an MRI said there was no apparent reason for the pain I was experiencing and they put it down to 'posture and stress'. I was told to seek physiotherapy which I did and this went on for another year. At this point cortisone injections were put forward as an option. At this stage I was open to anything to provide relief. Post injections there was no change to my pain. While in the waiting room post procedure I saw an advertisement for a company called 'Back to Health Wellness'. I took a note of the company and once I realised the injections had made no change I got in touch with them and signed up for their 'Spine Alignment' treatments which was where everything completely changed! I followed the guidance and advice they gave religiously and over the course of just over a year I started to see improvements. I was able to drive in a car for hours not minutes, back pain wasn't on my mind all the time and the fatigue of being in pain had started to lift.

I have to say if I hadn't seen the advert for Back to Health I really don't know where I would be. I say this with whole hearted honesty. The 'holistic' approach the team at Back to Health offer focus on the whole body not just the areas of pain and its very hard to find a practice that offer this. I trusted in them, followed the exercises and now I can say I'm in a completely better place. The initial 'Spine Alignment' process is over with fantastic results and now I'm on a maintenance programme. I'm still on the journey but welcome the improvements to come!

Fantastic help, service and attention! Having suffered from back pain for a few years, coming to Back to Health was the best thing I have done. Andrew has been great with his manipulation as well as exercises for me to do over the past year. My spine has lost its unhealthy curve, hips are straight and no pain. Well worth every penny.

After struggling with intermittent neck and back pain for over 20 years I signed up for a spinal assessment in March 2023 and then a programme of 30 sessions of manipulation, traction, adjustments and targeted exercises.
My neck and back are now miles better and it was useful to see the X rays showing the changes in my spine over the 15 month period. I am also now more aware of my posture and how my body feels.

Booked a last minute appointment today (within the hour) for a Therapeutic/Deep Postural Massage With Spinal Check so pleased I that I did - and could be booked in so quickly. I have been suffering with debilitating back pain for almost 6 months, to the point it has effected my work as a nurse and my livelihood. I stopped going for walks which is something I used to very much enjoy! My session with Beeshesh was relaxing and professional, really trying to identify what was causing my back pain (after waiting months for NHS MRIs and then being told it was due to my weight or anxiety, and being chucked on 6 different medications at one point to manage the pain)… Beeshesh gave a wonderful deep tissue massage that allowed me to feel relaxed and even offered to research further into the potential cause of my back pain which was above and beyond from what I expected from a £35 last minute Treatwell deal! As I was leaving the clinic I bumped into Andrew (lead osteopath) who offered very kindly free of charge to check me over and see if he could identify the route cause of my pain- I happily agreed. After a few simple movements, he was able to hypothesise an issue with my left hip and made an adjustment… crunch! I almost cried in euphoric relief, the pain instantly was no longer! He tested whether I could touch my toes and range of movement- I could, I haven’t been able to do this since I was a child! Almost 6 months of agony, and mental deterioration due to not being able to take part in activities I enjoy due to the pain- I will take a celebratory walk this evening for the first time in a long time. I want to thank the team at Back To Health Wellness Guildford for immediately improving my quality of life today and going above and beyond. Sharp recurring back pain was limiting my activity, Andrew at the Guildford centre gave me a thorough assessment and started what seemed like gentle treatment (+ also a few gym exercises) and after the first 3 months, the pain never came back. 18 months on, this has made a huge difference to my confidence when playing sport, scans are showing great results and it’s always a pleasure to see Andrew and have a nice chat at each appointment!

I have been attending the practice for over a year now for spinal correction and mobility issues. Andrew is an amazing talent in chiropractic biophysics. I am so fortunate to have found him. Following treatments and extension exercises. I can now see a correction in my spinal alignment and have greater mobility. I’ve been visiting Andrew at back to Health wellness in Guildford for over a year now, originally contacting the practise due to lower back pain experienced after most impact sports.

After receiving my initial x-rays i was advised I had an abnormal spinal curvature (functional curvature), likely due to around 20 years of desk work. After a period of treatment including adjustments in the practise and use of padded blocks at home, Andrew has managed to reduce my spinal curvature from 8 degrees to 1 degree. I haven’t experienced any back pain for a while now and generally feel way more mobile than when I first started.

I’d have no hesitation in recommending Andrew who goes above and beyond any Chiropractors I’ve used in the past

I started coming to Andrew at the end of 2020 with back pain and have just arrived at the end of my 30 session package. I have not only come away with a marked improvement in my spine, neck and hips, as shown by my final X-rays but also with more awareness of how my body works in relation to my particular problem areas.
