I purchased 3 replacement basement windows and the water wells to prevent leakage into my basement. The windows being replaced were original to the home - almost 50 years, but a small trickle of water would come in after a severe rain. We were looking to one day finish the basement and thought this would be a good first step. One window was a total failure with water streaming into the basement after days of consistent or heavy rain. I use plastic and a 45 gal can to contain the water flowing in from the 'new' window. The new window that allowed heavy rain in the basement was much worse than the 50-year-old window! They offered to do more to combat the problem - install a french drain, but I lost confidence in their solutions. I did purchase a dehumidifier from them and it works really well! I need it because my basement gets a lot of water due to the new window that allows water to pour into my basement. Nice salesman, nice workers, but a little short on expertise...

We had our basement system upgraded from an older system and it was not installed as promised. They were supposed to install the dehumidifier in one spot and it was put somewhere else that was not centrally located. It’s also barely on the blocks they used to hold it up. They were supposed to reinstall our insulation, but it was very shoddily done and parts of it have already fallen down. They used tape to hold the anti-microbial layer down instead of whatever they did with the last barrier we had and it does not do a good job. Also, the layer does not seem as nice as the last one we had. Until the annual service it looked like crap. They made the team that installed it drive almost 2 and a half hours one way daily to do the installation instead of putting them up in a hotel. It’s crazy that our “local” office is in Zebulon, NC instead of Va. Beach, VA.

The last guy did make it look better, but the tape has already started to come off again. We have tried on numerous occasions to complain but we have received not response from them. The system is keeping the moisture down, but I am not happy with the customer service at all. I sent my most recent complaints in about 3 weeks ago and have still heard nothing.

Basement systems did the water guard, vapor barrier, a super sump with battery back up and installed 3 windows and sun wells. Very happy with the job and the customer service. Had torrential rain twice since then and basement is completely dry.

These guys really went out of there way to get it done right. Had some trouble wih the install but definitely made good. Sent a service guy out three times for free to make sure i was satisfied. Impressive.

Had a bad bowing wall problem. We hired this company because they were the only ones that seems to be experts at it. They installed carbon on one wall, anchors on another, and beams on a third. Verry impressive

Hired this company to get rid of my mold. Also bought a big Sanidry dehumidifier. Mold is gone. Basement air is really dry. I am very happy.

When we moved into our house, we discovered multiple cracks with water leaking in. The basement was damp and dingy. This was quite discouraging as we wanted to create a kids play room and family room down there. We hired basement systems USA to remediate the issue. They did a fantastic job. The work was done neatly and quite efficiently. They repair the cracks as well as replaced our sump pump. The crew took great care of our home and left everything very clean. We even hired them once more to install their waterproof flooring throughout the basement. We have since not had any issues with water in the basement. It looks and feels great down there. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

I rarely do reviews, but this company deserved it. Professional from start to beginning

My house is located in a wet area and I always have water coming into my crawlspace, even if it hasn’t rained in several weeks. The moisture issues are compounded by the presence of iron ochre, which would cause the trench drain and sump pit in my crawlspace to clog and overflow unless I crawled back into it and treated it with bleach/chlorine every week.

Basement Systems suggested a plan to install a new drainage system and relocate my sump to an area that would be much easier to access and maintain. They upgraded the existing sump pump to a triple safe system with three pumps (including a battery backup!) so I have multiple redundancies in place to prevent flooding. They also wrapped my crawlspace with a heavy duty vapor barrier to keep all of that moisture from permeating up through my house.

I couldn’t have been happier with Javier and his crew, and my wife had no qualms about having them in our house while I was away at work. They called me several times to communicate their schedule, and took care to protect the flooring on the main level of my house. Javier was more than willing to work with me to route the sump discharge pipes in the area I wanted them. He and his crew worked very hard and put in extra hours to have the job completed on schedule in two days even though they ran into several unexpected issues. I couldn’t be happier with the quality of work, the professionalism of the crew, and the integrity of company, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Basement Systems to anyone.
