Good friendly service. Follow up of after sales issues not so good!

As a family we have used The Bed Warehouse in excess of 20 years, and yet again there service has been excellent. We had an urgent requirement due to family members arriving from overseas, and the y delivered two beds to us two days after ordering, fantastic service as usual

I wish I could’ve read these reviews before ordering. I ordered a king storage base which is 2 single bases on 7 Jan 2026. I was charged R950 for delivery but later when I contacted them they tell me they haven’t dispatched coz there is a delivery shortfall of R2210. This was not mentioned on the online purchase and is still shows R950 to date. After opting to cancel I changed my mind coz of time frames. I was informed of a damage when they had to dispatch and assured they would manufacture a new one since I wouldn’t accept a damaged base.
Today 2 February almost a month later I finally receive the 2 bases and to my shock they are 2 different colours. One grey and 1 brown… these are meant to be used side by side as a king base.
They say it was variation in material but obviously failed to inform me!!!
Worst service and product I have ever received
Would not recommend this company at all

We ordered the bed from the bed warehouse direct back in November on the date of delivery only a mattress turned up, we were informed that the bad will be with us the next day. The quality of the mattress was very poor so we decided to cancel our order and arrange for it to be returned. Since that date we are still waiting for collection and return of our funds. Please do not use this company as there are no intentions to follow through with their commitments.

Bought a sofa in August this year, It was supposed to be brand new. There was the same sofa in the show room but it was damaged at the back, so a new one was ordered. The sofa arrived early September, it looked good until I tried to move it, the Top of the back was very loose so I pulled the sofa out & was shocked to see a large flap that covered the lower back. I rang the shop & was told that he would speak to the boss & get back to me. They have not contacted me yet I am totally disgusted

Being an aged person of 85years, the sales lady who answered my call was very helpful and gave me good advise, and assisted me throughout my purchase. Everything arrived on time as arranged, and the product is very good. Thankyou.

What a fantastic service we have just received from Bed Warehouse in Scarborough. Warm welcome, mattress tested, paid for, delivered and old mattress in back of their van in the space of approx 30 minutes as we lived nearby. Don’t know your names guys but can’t thank you enough for the outstanding customer service and looking after our furry friend outside for us. Looking forward to an amazing sleep tonight. Mattress was great value and warranty attached. Excellent !!!!!

The lady wasVery knowledgeable and not pushy and had the patience of a saint as we tried all the beds, we even bought a pillow ... highly recommended to everyone

Great experience in the shop, no pushy sales people. Delivery drivers on time and friendly, all packing and old mattress taken away. Would recommend.

I bought their storage base and a euro top mattress. The storage base does not close properly on its own, I have to use a rope to forcefully close it. The euro top mattress feels like a very cheep spring mattress. The quality and the price do not go hand in hand!

Bought 2 single beds in january this year the beds are so bad now they look like i bought them15 years. I have to replace the mattress now cause it is a waste of R6300

Ordered a electic bed was delivered with in the week very good our sons came down to put it together we found that the covering on the bottom of the bed was tourn and fraying i rang customer care and told them about it and was told to take photo's explained to the girl that it was not possible to take photo's because being in our 80s we could not lift the bed,they refunded me £20 insult.within 2 weeks the mattress had sagged and the sides had collapsed took photo's 3weeks later after a lot of phone calls and texts had a new mattress delivered(by a very miserable driver)now had this matteress 2 weeks the same thing is accurring but also a ridge the full length of the bed so when you are asleep you are falling over the side.Ive never slepted in such a uncomfortably bed. Ive learnt my lesson never buy a bed without seeing it would like to have my money back but i dont think that will happen.15072021

I bought an ottoman (storage) bed from Woodmead branch. The bed is not square & staples has been shot through the wood and sticking out on the outside - it cut open my finger.

Brilliant bed daughter loves it. Delivery men were very polite and helpful

Just received my sofa today and it was great. Amazing quality material and much more comfortable than my previous sofa. I highly recommend this company.

I ordered my bed, received a confirmation email saying they'd phone me with a delivery date. This is all well and good, however at no point do you enter your phone number when making an account. So I went out of the way and rang up myself as I was so excited as I'd found the perfect bed. Then the next day they phone to arrange a delivery. They only deliver on Tuesdays in my area. I work every tuesday! Even with COVID-19 most other companies are offering delivery around the customer rather than themselves

Slow delivery.
They kept me updated through email throughout with updates when the bed came in the shop and when the delivery was coming. Bed was easy to put together and I am pleased with the quality.

Had a problem with my new bed after 2 weeks of arriving. The customer care for this company is 100% after explaining what had happened and sending photos they refunded the cost of it back onto my credit card before they had even collected it. You can't get better service than that. Thankyou bed warehouse

If your wanting a bed from here please don’t bother once they took your money and gone there not bothered I bought a bed for my son wasn’t given what was advertised for a start and I found a rip in the leather I sent them a photo as they asked and got no reply back I’ve wasted a lot of money with these jokers when you buy something you expect a nice new bed not a ripped one so please don’t buy from these jokers save your money and go somewhere else as I will in future

Beds not fit for purpose.

First of all, the positives. The bed we ordered was easy to assemble and the frontline customer service team did their best to help with any problems.

After the feet of the bed breaking and collapsing within six months and a tedious to-and-fro with the suppliers, we were given replacement parts.

Unfortunately, one of the panels of the frame - which holds the bed together - collapsed after another six months.

It couldn't be repaired as the panel itself was made from soft ply wood, so any screws used to hold it together just ripped through the wood. It also didn't help that there were no actual fittings for the screws.

The slats of the bed were also poor quality. Certainly not soft ply wood, but still too fragile to support a mattress and the plastic fittings were too loose to hold the slats in place.

The customer service team did their best, but despite showing photographs of the damage, the suppliers were insistent on having the whole frame disassembled and photographed. Once we disassembled the frame, the wood had been compromised too much to be reassembled, so ended up going to another company whose service and products were far superior in every way,

Do yourself a favour and steer clear.
