Very impressed with Bedworld, Ipswich. Firstly Samuel at the shop was very helpful but not pushy which we liked as we'd been to other retail outlets and they pounce and go in for the hard sell. Bedworld did not do this. Bedworld are manufacturers so make the beds and mattresses to order. Also they took a much shorter time to make and delivery the order than the middle men, eg Bensons Beds !! Once we placed our order, a bed and mattress it was delivered around 2 weeks. The choice of mattresses were many but we knew what we wanted and you can have any bed style dressed in the choice of colours and materials they offer from a chart. So easy and straightforward. The whole process was stress free. To add to our experience, the delivery was also very good. The driver called us half an hour before delivery time so we could arrange receipt of the bed. He also carried everything to the room on his own! The quality of the bed and how it is made is excellent as is the sprung mattress 4,000 pocket with a foam topper. The price for both these quality items came to £1,100 so much cheaper than the rival retail outlets. We would definitely recommend Bedworld. Thank you and well done 👏

If I could give zero stars, I would. I spent £650 on a mattress that is absolute garbage—completely different from what I tried in-store. It’s uncomfortable, cheaply made, and nothing like what was advertised.

After just a few nights of use, I started experiencing severe back pain because of how soft and unsupportive it is. When I contacted customer service, they were rude and dismissive, telling me that the mattress was “fine” and refusing to offer any kind of resolution. No warranty, no exchange, no accountability—just excuses.

This company is clearly selling subpar products while refusing to take responsibility for their misleading practices. I feel completely scammed. Avoid them at all costs! Save yourself the stress and shop somewhere reputable. I'll have to go down the legal path next.

I deeply regret purchasing a mattress from this company. The one I tested in-store was medium-firm, supportive, and felt perfect. However, what was delivered was an entirely different product—soft, cheap-feeling, and completely unsupportive. It was nothing like what I paid for.

The worst part? Customer service was absolutely useless. They refused to acknowledge the issue and insisted this was “normal.” How is it normal to advertise one thing and deliver another? This is blatant dishonesty, and their refusal to take responsibility proves they do not care about their customers.

I have endured sleepless nights, back pain, and endless frustration trying to get them to do the right thing. Instead, they continue to ignore their own mistakes and leave customers stuck with subpar products.

If you value your hard-earned money, do not buy from them. There are plenty of other mattress retailers who actually care about quality and customer satisfaction.

I'll have to go down legal path next.

Absolute waste of time. I was informed by email I would get a call 24hours before delivery. I wasn't, when I called the day of delivery the guy at the store said they don't always call and my delivery date was confirmed, I was supposed to be called on the day by the driver which also didn't happen. The sales guy said to call back if I didn't hear anything by end of day. I called back the store didn't pick up my calls. They are running a shoddy company with no care or regard for people's time.

Spend 1000 pounds on a mattress that failed after 2 months! Their mattresses have major issues. Customer service was a disaster and no refund. Avoid like the plague!

The office had the cheek to call and request help getting it off the lorry and won’t deliver upstairs ( how many people does this affect) in our late 60s seems like reading other reviews their staff are open to bribes £40 the going rate I have no means of getting this upstairs think it’s made of concrete never had a headboard this heavy before or such poor service
Bedworld you need to review your customer experience policy and how you treat your employees

I have no problem with the product, but we were ripped off by the delivery men. Unfortunately, I was out of the house when it was delivered, so my 75 year-old disabled wife took delivery. They asked her for £50 (cash) to take the bed upstairs (13 steps) but accepted £40 when she demurred. They 'assembled the bed' . i.e. attached the head board. No shame.

Mattress failed after 11 months but because I didn't report it til after 12 months they're refusing to replace or refund. Now won't answer emails, buy elsewhere

So I spent 3 x times extra money on a mattress for my son as he has some health issues. There was trouble trying to get details of the mattress before I even purchased. I should have been weary at this stage but was struggling to find an alternative mattress elsewhere and decided to trust this company to deliver as advertised. I asked for email confirmation of the exact contents of the mattress as described to me when I rang because I was concerned it was not stated on the site. I never got the email when the mattress arrived it looks nothing like what I ordered, and still I cannot get the confirmation in writing of the contents which makes me very annoyed that I have indeed been sold a dud, it feels like there is zero latex in it. It looks and feels cheap. I will update when I investigate this matter further, I may need to open the mattress. Joseph furniture the manufacturer appears to be a Chinese company and looking at what I can find on them, I seriously doubt that if the latex is even in the mattress the it is Dunlop method (as advertised) and not some nasty synthetic fake foam! If this has happened to me as I suspect it has, I suspect it is a common practise of advertising one product but sending a different product altogether, not many people are going to open their mattress to see what's inside

I found out the day before my bed was due to be delivered that the mattress wasn't even in stock so to be fair to Bed World, they supplied a temporary replacement mattress. However, as a girl living on my own, I didn't expect them to dump the bed and mattress in my dining room and refuse to help me take it upstairs. Fast forward 3 weeks when the right mattress is in stock and I specifically told them I can't accept a delivery like that again and need help carrying the mattress upstairs. I was promised a two man delivery service, but it didn't happen. One guy was sent on his own and when he rang the office to see what they wanted him to do, the genuine suggestion was for him to find someone off the street and offer them £20 to help. What an absolute bunch of clowns these guys are!!

Didn’t even let me know they were delivering until they were 1 hour away. I was 20 miles away on my to an appointment when the delivery driver called. Had to turn round and go back home and waste 40 miles worth of fuel and had to cancel my appointment I was going to. Rubbish service won’t be dealing with again!!!!

Have been looking at buying my 92 year old Mom a new bed base, mattress and headboard.
Found Bed world prices very good and was about to order
BUT they only deliver to the ground floor - how's that going to help my Mom when she lives alone and is on the 1st floor
Find this service really bad.

Got my extremely heavy bed base delivered today and the delivery guy had to leave it at the bottom of my stairs, I have now had to pay someone to get it up my stairs to my bedroom. Apparently, they don't insure the delivery people to do this, I was so shocked as nowhere in the delivery information, doers it tell you this and the delivery guy said its in the terms and conditions, well HIDDEN, I would say, from any customer. If you have a flight of stairs, do NOT buy from Bed world, rather than being upfront and telling you before you buy, they sneakily throw that in under T&Cs. I wish I had read all the reviews before buying from them and now I hope the bed base is the base I had ordered, as it seems they try to fob people off with items that are inferior.

If I could give zero stars I would. Absolute rip off merchants. Took my money and sent me a cheap bed that I didn’t order. I can’t even use the bed as its so bad.

I bought a mattress from BedWorld and it is the worst mattress I have ever used. It was advertised as a luxury item but is practically useless. There is no edge support (despite being advertised with extra support) and you just roll off it if you go within a foot of the edge. The company denied it was faulty and I could not get a refund. There is also no phone number to call so you have to email their customer service team who just make up excuses as to why you are wrong. I will never buy from this company again. They should not still be in business. I ended up dumping the mattress and buying locally instead. I payed similar money locally for a far superior product. Avoid at all costs.

Do not I repeat do not buy anything from bed world the quality of products are not fit for purpose!!! Try to get a refund they just avoid it !!! After reading all your comments I wish I had read them before buying a bed from this company!!
Everyone needs to report them to trading standards and Which !! And take them to the small claims courts!!!!

Received bed 1/10/2023 faulty feet fitting contracted shop advised to take photo of problem to do that would have to take backing of mattress not possible advised to send email to head office have had no reply tried contacting shop 40 calls constant line busy just emailed head office again not a good place to purchase a bed

Communication was very poor we had to chase to make sure of delivery. The driver didn't contact us as they said he would. On arrival the driver was rude and didn't care instead of bringing the bed inside the house he left them on the steps outside the house we paid for the old mattress to be taken away but he wouldn't touch it until it was on the steps. we contact Bedworld who said somebody would contact us and the haven't had the decency to do this.
