Far from the 'club' it used to be...overpriced!
As a long standing member of the club my family and I have seen it's standards decline over the years.
The personal trainers are aloof, struggle to give you a smile or offer even a good morning (more so when covering reception) especially if you are not in the 'clique'.
Reception - Wow! Where to start...there are one or two who are friendly and greet you with a smile, but the vast majority, especially those who have been there for many years are just plain rude, if money wasn't involved then it would be funny.
Changing rooms...OMG! There is always something that doesn't work! be it the heating, showers, lockers, air con!
Pool! If you don't manage to claim an imaginary lane prepare to sit for a lengthy time, there's just no courtesy.
Spin room...If you don't fit in with the instructors 'little group of pals' then you feel ostracised.
Credit where due, the equipment in the gym is well maintained and of a decent standard with the streaming services on the cardio equipment being up to date.
This is NOT a club in the sense of the word, more an expensive over priced gym that is tired, and with no core message or identity that embraces belonging.
If you ever get to meet the owner you will see why most staff are the way they are!
