Very good customer service and advice.
Talked through delivery options as although ordered carpet needs to be fitted first. Delivery date was made in accordance with my requirements.

We purchased an iGel 3500i Plushtop mattress from Bensons for Beds in March 2024, expecting high quality and long-lasting comfort. Unfortunately, within a short period the mattress developed visible sagging and uneven support, leaving us waking up with aches and pains.

Concerned that we’d paid a lot for what was clearly not fit for purpose, we went back to Bensons asking for help — we didn’t want to end up with another sagging mattress or be left out of pocket. They arranged for a technician to come and assess it.

During his visit, the technician openly told us the mattress was in poor condition and that he personally wouldn’t sleep on it. He made us feel confident the claim would be upheld and that Bensons would replace it. However, his written report completely contradicted everything he said in person, blaming the problem solely on us for not rotating the mattress “as per guidelines.”

For context, this mattress is extremely heavy — even changing the sheets is difficult, let alone rotating it regularly. More importantly, the sagging and side collapse were clear faults that wouldn’t have been prevented by turning it.

We followed up by formally disputing their decision under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, stating we’d escalate the matter to the Furniture & Home Improvement Ombudsman if it wasn’t resolved. Bensons simply stopped responding.

We’re left extremely disappointed, out of pocket, and stuck with a faulty mattress. Given the high cost, poor quality, and complete lack of customer support, we cannot recommend Bensons for Beds.

Scott was such a great help to me and my partner, we didn’t go in intending to purchase a bed until we spoke to Scott, he wasn’t jumping down our throats like most people he let us crack on and when we needed help he exceeded.

Having shopped at Bensons before, we were very pleased with the quality and the service we received so it was our first choice when looking for a new mattress. Scott took time to talk over what we wanted and showed us a number of options, explaining the construction and benefits of each. We had plenty of time to try out various mattresses and didn't feel at all pressured or rushed and, having decided, delivery and recycling was arranged to suit us. Overall, a very positive shopping experience.

The man who helped me was super helpful, really friendly, approachable, knowledgeable & didn't put any pressure on me to purchase any extras.
He was working alone in store, and I wasn't the only person looking around. He coped well, unfortunately I don't recall his name.

Sales man didn't rush us as soon as me and my wife walked in he let us walk around for a minute so we could look as soon as we were ready he then spoke to us and advised us on the different mattress.

Very helpful and knowledgeable (Max). Despite my numerous questions and going back over choices several times he was very patient and happy to explain in detail the differences between and benefits of each specific mattress. I felt very confident that I was able to make an informed choice.

I am 83 years old and finally made my mind up that I needed a new mattress. The gentleman I spoke to was understanding that I didn’t want an expensive one. He showed me mattresses within my price range which I appreciated. I felt that he was considerate of my age and disability issues. It was I important to me that you offered a pick up facility for my present mattress.

In store service was ok but messages after purchase is bordering harassment! I have had 3 emails a 2 calls in 6 days, this has made me decide not to shop in your store
