The service at Benson for beds has been great. The staff are very knowledgeable about mattresses and we ended up getting the right one. The mattress arrived perfectly and on time and we appreciated the reminders coming up to delivery day. Overall a great service.

I bought a king size ex-display mattress from Bensons(New Malden) in December 2023. The sales team in New Malden is amazing, I don’t have anything against them. The review is for a customer service team for Bensons.

The mattress I bought was reduced from around £1000 to £300, king size all natural vegan mattress. I accepted it’s ex display, as I thought that will mean that people have sat on it, but I did not accept that it would become unsuitable after roughly 2 years of sleeping on it.

The mattress has developed a significant groove along the centre and the middle support feels weakened. You genuinely feel like a cheap sofa bed now not a proper king size mattress it’s uncomfortable and impacts my sleep.

This isn’t due to poor care, as I have cared for it, and turn it every 3 to 6 months, making sure I can use it for years to come.

When I called I was told ex display items are only guaranteed for one year, therefore after two years there’s “nothing they can do”. That response is disappointing from specialist bed retailer, especially when the issue appears to be structure failure.

Leaving this review to order customers can make an informed decision. I think it’s a reasonable to expect better durability, and I hope Benson will reconsider and offer a reasonable solution, because at the moment this experience has to really damaged my trust.

We have purchased several beds from Bensons for Beds in New Malden in the last five years and every interaction has been very good. The sales team were knowledgeable and helpful, and more importantly, knew when to leave us to it when we were deliberating once all of the critical information was provided.

The process of buying a bed is never quick but when they pulled up our last purchases, they were able to process or order efficiently leveraging our previous details and preferences.

Our delivery was about 3 weeks from the date of order and we were provided with a delivery window the day before which they adhered to. Our delivery driver Garry and assistant Kehinde did a great job - quick, efficient, cleaned up after themselves, explained everything and left the room in perfect state (they wore shoe covers or removed their shoes). They were in and out within an hour having setup the bed frame and mattress, all well within the delivery window agreed.

We appreciate the service and are able to adjust so their logistics (ie delivery date and timings slots). They delivered the service as we agreed and we appreciate their consistency and good work. When it comes to value - check for sales as it makes a significant difference in the pricing.

The store was easy to find , as well Monica in the store was very knowledgeable and helped us in choosing a mattress suitable for us . Very clean store too

The sales person was very good & helpfull. Shame the bed was damaged when received.

Ordered an ottoman divan and a mattress - both are great and delivery was excellent too

Syed was really helpful. He talked to us with respect and understanding rather than being a pushy salesman. He helped us pick the right product and processed the order to our satisfaction.

It was all just so uncomplicated.
