Staff in the store were very helpful, not pushy. Delivery was quick & straightforward. Delivery team were very polite, professional & courteous.

All good as advised removed shoes,rang before delivery to advise arrival time.

Upon entering the store we were approached by sales staff asking what we were interested in today and directed to the appropraite area.
The salesman was very helpful. He answered all of our questions to our satisfaction and was particularly helpful in explaining how to select the correct matress support/comfort level, using the 'Sleeppro' BodiTrak technology.
A nice and unexpected touch was to increase the discount to cover the purchase price of their BedGuard kit, Mattress protector & recycling our old bedbase/matress.
The ordering, T&C's, invoicing and delivery process was thouroughly explained to.

When visiting the store we were left alone to browse and try the beds at our leisure. No pushy sales person! However they were in eyesight if we needed to ask questions.

I went to find a double mattress for my daughter’s room. The store was spacious and had a good choice at wide range of prices. We were guided by a very helpful sales person. It was great that she could lie on some different mattresses to see what she really liked. Happy with the mattress we bought and the service we received was friendly, helpful and professional.

We were looking for an ottoman bed for my brother, Nadeem approached us and was extremely friendly and helpful. We explained what we were looking for and he showed us the various options.
We then leisurely looked around until my brother found the bed he liked and Nadeem went through mattress options and pricing with us. His recommendations were spot on for what we wanted and well within our budget. Nadeem made the whole experience so easy and explained everything in great detail. He wasnt pushy which was important to us as my brother is autistic and finds these kind of interactions difficult and stressful. Nadeem made everything so straightforward and the whole experience was very relaxed, my brother came away feeling very happy with the bed he purchased. We would definitely recommend Benson for Beds

Mohammad was very helpful, he answered any questions I had whilst also giving me the space to try out the different mattresses available in my own time.

We purchased a mattress from Bensons for Beds in August 2023 and initially found it comfortable for the first 6 months to 1 year. However, within less than one- two years, it developed a noticeable dip and lost its support, making it very uncomfortable to sleep on.

We contacted Bensons under their guarantee, and they arranged for a technician from Emmiera Group to inspect the mattress on 22 September 2025. During the visit, the technician told my partner directly that the mattress was part of a bad batch and confirmed it was dipping, clearly acknowledging that there was a fault.

However, when we later received the official report, the written conclusion completely contradicted what was said in person. The report stated there was “no manufacturing fault”, even though it also confirmed that the mattress failed both the pressure test and the lay test, meaning it was unsupportive and unresponsive.

Bensons then refused to replace or repair the mattress, claiming it was due to “lack of care” because as they claimed it hadn’t been rotated even though we were never informed at the point of sale or afterwards that rotation was required to maintain the guarantee. This excuse feels unreasonable, especially when their own technician admitted verbally that the mattress was faulty.

Their communication since has been repetitive and dismissive, simply repeating that the report is “full and final” rather than addressing the inconsistencies. The only “solution” offered was to pay for an independent inspection at our own cost.

I’ve now escalated the matter to the Furniture & Home Improvement Ombudsman (FHIO) for an independent review. It’s disappointing that a well-known retailer would treat customers this way, especially when there’s clear evidence of product failure.

Overall, my experience with Bensons for Beds has been extremely poor. The aftercare and complaint handling have been unhelpful, inconsistent, and unfair. I would strongly advise anyone considering a purchase to read the small print carefully and be aware that their guarantee process may not be as supportive as expected.
