My visit to the showroom was excellent, the employee there, Luke, could not have been more helpful. Since then it has been a complete disaster. I was originally given the 22nd of July as a delivery date. I was then told delivery had been delayed due to the global IT issue and I would receive a new delivery date. I asked for delivery on the 5th of August, but the earliest mutually convenient date was the 13th of August. Then on the morning of the original delivery day (the 22nd of July, which Bensons had cancelled), I received a telephone call from the delivery driver saying he was 15min away - good job I was in! The delivery was incomplete however, they didn't have the headboard. Furthermore, one half of the bed base had scuff marks on it which I felt were unacceptable, and after submitting photographs Bensons agreed to replace it. I asked for a delivery date of the 5th of August for the replacement bed base, but was told the earliest mutually convenient date was was the 13th of August. Then I received another delivery date, the 5th of August. Feeling totally confused I called and it was eventually established this was just for the the headboard. I had already wasted too much time on this so asked why they didn't deliver the headboard with the bed base and save themselves some inconvenience too. This was finally agreed as the 13th of August. I await with interest. However, not the end of the story. I originally wanted legs and not sliders for the bed base but failed to notice that only the two drawer divan came with legs, not the four drawer that I wanted. As a goodwill gesture they agreed to send separately a set of legs, at least that made up for some of the inconvenience. Then, on the 4th of August I received another text/email communication stating, "We are just letting you know that we are still working hard to get your replacement part, and will contact you to arrange delivery once your item(s) are available." This filled me with trepidation so I telephoned Bensons again. It turns out this may have related to the legs, but no one seems to know for certain. Apparently the bed manufacturer told Bensons the legs won't fit the base I have ordered. It would seem they told Bensons this some time ago, but no one had considered it relevant to tell me. I am losing the will to live over this whole fiasco.

The Sales assistant was very helpful in guiding us through the various products and did not try and give us the hard sell in making our decisions. Very professional.

I am beyond frustrated with my recent experience with Bensons for Beds. My husband and I went to the Romford store on May 4th, 2024, to ensure we knew exactly what we were ordering. We selected a bed, mattress, and headboard, placed our order, and were assured that the bed and headboard would be delivered separately but within approximately two weeks.

On May 23rd, only the super king mattress arrived. To my shock, the delivery team did not take my old bed as stated on my order form, leaving me with a super king mattress and an old king size bed. This mismatch forced my husband and me to sleep in the spare room downstairs, causing significant distress to our youngest daughter who relies on the comfort of us all sleeping upstairs together.

When I called customer service to find out when the bed would arrive, I was told it wouldn't be delivered until June 14th – a full three weeks later. There was no flexibility with this date as the bed was coming from a separate company. Shockingly, I was told it would be acceptable for us to sleep on the mattress on the floor! This is unacceptable.

June 14th came and went with no notification about the delivery. I called customer service again, only to be informed that the bed would arrive "next week sometime." The courier company eventually called to schedule delivery for the following Thursday, but they then informed me that they would not be taking my old bed away as this is not a service they provide.

I contacted the Romford branch to address this and was told customer service would call me back. When they did, they offered no solution other than refunding the recycling fee for the old bed. This is unacceptable. I should not have to chase around trying to resolve these issues. I work full time, have two children, and paid a substantial amount for the bed and the service. This entire ordeal has been a nightmare.

I expect the old bed to be collected before Thursday, June 20th, 2024, as initially promised. This experience has been a complete disaster, and I will never use Bensons for Beds again. I have shared my experience with friends and family, and they are equally horrified.

I urge others to avoid Bensons for Beds to prevent going through the same distressing experience.

I selected a bed and mattress in store but I ordered it online as it was cheaper. The staff at the store help make the selection. The experience from online order to deliver of the bed was very smooth. I was informed on the delivery date and given two hours timeslot in advance. I even received a call 24 hrs and an hour before delivery. The two people, who delivered, were cheerful. Overall very happy with the experience. The quality of bed and mattress remains to be tested.

Stephen was knowledgeable about the products. And he had remembered us before. He was a friendly member of staff and very helpful. We purchased two single mattresses. But previously a King size mattress.

The gentleman that helped me was very knowledgeable and directed me straight to the product I needed. He gave me time to look and then was available to help me with my purchase.

Great service from shop In Romford staff are very helpful , delivery guys glen and Scott b very efficient and helpful, although problems with actual bed so just waiting to hear back from customer service

Great service from Ali at Gallows Corner. Fully explained the different types of mattresses / beds and allowed us to take our time trying out each one. No hard sell or pressure and ended up buying two mattresses and a bed!

My experience with Bensons has been exceptionally disappointing, both in terms of their product and customer service.
I purchased the 'Clima Control Latex Extra Firm' mattress, and within a month, it began sinking in one spot. Despite reaching out to the Romford Branch for assistance, their advice was to wait, prolonging the issue.

Despite submitting requested photos, the customer service remained unhelpful and attempted to discourage me. After approximately three months of struggle, they reluctantly dispatched an independent technician, whose report favored my case. However, Bensons persisted in resistance, initiating further investigations.

After enduring additional weeks of frustration, they finally agreed to replace the mattress. Unfortunately, the replacement exhibited the same flaw within a month.

Furthermore, Bensons' sales agents falsely claim their mattress is '100% latex,' when in reality, it's around 10% latex, with the majority being poor-quality foam.

The promised firmness lasts just a month, and despite establishing a manufacturer fault, customer service adamantly refuses refunds. Post-sale support is nonexistent, and securing a replacement demands disproving their unfounded excuses.

Enduring this exhausting process might result in a replacement after significant struggle.

I feel compelled to caution others about Bensons' deceptive claims and poor-quality products. Unfortunately, I've lost hope for a refund or replacement, and pursuing a refund through the court is both tense and time-consuming. In conclusion, I advise against wasting thousands pounds with this company unless you're eager to experience frustration and disappointment.
