Called into the Sunderland Branch today to look at bed frames. Jo helped us during the visit while we chose the perfect new bed frame, very helpful and friendly. Thank you for your great Customer service Jo

From walking into the Sunderland store Marc was friendly and very helpful. There was no pressure for us to buy, Marc just walked us through our options for a new mattress and bed and left us to make our own decision. Marc explained the process for delivery and warranty clearly, which we bought.
A very good experience all round and I would definitely recommend Bensons for Beds and Marc in particular.

Andrea was brilliant as usual as we have dealt with her a number of times over the years. Her advice and recommendations have always proved exemplary. We have used Bensons for Beds numerous times and always had a good deal and excellent service.

Bensons beds was my one stop and offered all style variations for their beds. Mattress choice was great with firmness level confirmed on tester. Very happy with my choice. Delivery went like clockwork. The staff in the store and delivery team were friendly.

Staff in shop knowledgeable. Lots of communication re delivery. Delivery exactly on time and 2 delivery lads friendly and made removal of old bed and delivery of new no problem. New bed extremely comfy too

My one star review feels a bit wrong because the Bensons for beds online team and both Delivery drivers were exceptionally professional and friendly , and I would gladly give them 5 stars however my 1 star is for their in store at my local Sunderland branch .
We have bought from them before and I wanted the exact same bed for the spare room. Once in store I had to draw the attention of one of the two male staff , one was on the phone but the second seemed to be playing on his phone .
I asked about delivery costs and he said it was £50 , I said that I thought it was a bit steep as I lived local and asked if I could pick it up from store , he said I could but it would still be £50 . I soon realised that the staff member seemed to have 'little man syndrome ' where they have a chip on their shoulder because of their diminutive height .
He explained that I was saving so much of the sale price of the bed, that the £50 delivery fee shouldn't feel like an issue .
As I wanted the bed and really didnt want to waste time shopping around , or buying online , I said I would take it .
He said he would sort the details and I started to count the cash out of my wallet . It was then that he informed me they had no change as no one pays cash anymore .
As my change should have been £15 , I left and ordered with them online , where I had no problems.
In this day and age , when the High Street is dying , you think stores would be happy for any sales , whether its cash or card . After I left , I wondered what people without a credit card are supposed to do .
Absolutely dreadful customer service . Aggressive opinionated little man .By online - Dont go in store !

Marc Davidson at the Sunderland store was a great help selecting the correct bed frame and mattress for us. Very friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

Warm welcome when visted store by a very knowledgeable man.

After informing him of what i required he went through the different types of mattresses & which would suit me best.

All in all, a first class service.

Well educated delivery from in house staff.
Even though we felt we paid a bit extra for the Mattress compared to online purchase it was well worth the experience of been shown exactly what we purchased big thanks to the staff at Bensons

Really poor customer experience from Mark and Darren. Was asking about a mattress and wanted to try a firm instead of extra firm. Sales advisor changed his tune saying I should buy in store rather than online as ths shop will close and he'd be out of a job. I said I want to save as much money as I can. We weren't even talking figures or anything! Asked for the manager to come, he started to try and de-escalate the situation but both of them spoke over us and span the same narrative about buying in store. I intended to buy instore but I'll be going elsewhere now.

We had great service and advice from Andrea at Sunderland. Took her time to make sure that she examined everything with thoroughly but without any selling pressure.

Plenty of choice in the store and good advice. Delivery was prompt.The bed is very comfortable and we're very happy with it. Thanks for advising us on the mattress, its perfect.
