Before Eithan came to work at this gym
Before Eithan came to work at this gym, I did not do any of the classes. I have been a member for over 15 years with Better. What Eithan brings is so valuable. He is friendly knows his stuff and pushes everyone. Since he has been at the gym I do everyone of his classes. He has brought back membes to the gym that had gone to FGC and it is a battle to get onto his classes. He is so valuable at the gym if he left I think the numbers he has brought into the gym will definitely go down. He is so supportive and always willing to help whether in classes or in the gym. Well done to Better for recruiting someone who actually takes a interest in what members want and who enjoys his job.

Eithan’s gym classes are fantastic! He’s really knowledgeable, especially when it comes to anatomy and understanding how the body moves. He explains exercises clearly and helps you understand not just what you’re doing, but why you’re doing it, which makes a huge difference.
The classes are always engaging, well structured and enjoyable, and Eithan creates a really positive and motivating atmosphere. You can tell he genuinely knows his stuff and cares about helping people train safely and effectively. Hoping he doesn't leave!!

What’s happened to the music?
I’d normally give this centre a 5 star review, mainly due to the fabulous staff who work there. I find the staff on the reception area pleasant, friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. I have been a regular visitor to the centre for well over a year and attend aqua aerobics twice weekly. Both regular aqua instructors, Viktoriia and Siana are great and they work hard to make our routines enjoyable. However, of late, the music which they have used during the class is very uninspiring and it doesn’t allow for the brilliant, individual routines which they prepare for us. This has taken away a lot of the enjoyment of the class. Is this to be a permanent change? I really hope not as the classes are far less enjoyable than they used to be and I am not alone in thinking this. Can you please revert to allowing the instructors to choose their own music for their classes.

In reference to the music, we’re aware that there has been some concern and confusion about the changes to music licensing in our fitness classes from this Spring
In late 2025 we became aware that the cost of our current music license that covers all our 250 leisure centres and gyms across the UK would increase significantly. As a charitable social enterprise focused on community benefit, we carefully reviewed our options to ensure we continue to invest our resources responsibly and sustainably.
Following this review, we asked our fitness instructors to transition to PPL pre-cleared, royalty-free music. This approach allows us to manage rising costs while continuing to deliver the high-quality classes you expect.
In practical terms, all instructors are being provided with free access to Power Music; one of the most widely used fitness music platforms. Power Music enables instructors to create their own playlists using professionally recorded studio tracks (not AI-generated), giving them flexibility while ensuring full compliance with licensing requirements.
We hope this provides reassurance and clarity about why we have made this decision, the care we have taken to engage with and support our instructors and our commitment to maintaining your class experience. As we implement these changes we will continue to monitor feedback and engage with staff and customers.

5 Star Gym- Worth every penny
Better Gym- Walthamstow Stadium is a fantastic gym. The staff are friendly, welcoming and genuinely care about their members The classes are my favourite aspect with excellent quality and energy led by fantastic instructors with lots of time options to fit any schedule. I went from never going to the gym in my life to spending most of my time there. Better Gym is a lovely little community that you build with both staff and members
Huge shout out to Eithan who is an outstanding instructor. He’s helped and advised me on a condition and injury and he always goes above and beyond for members. He leads some of the best and most popular classes in the gym and brings incredible support and motivation every time. The membership is 100% worth it

Better Health Walthamstow Stadium…
Better Health Walthamstow Stadium leisure centre is my favourite leisure centre of all time and I've been to some. Anything is possible if you communicate with Eithan or James. They support you to understand what can or cannot be done whatever it is and they follow it up. (Unlike other places I could mention). They help you in their fitness classes, your fitness journey, your ideas for fitness classes. Eithan and James are the best which explains why their classes are always full up which is why I plan the week ahead. Debbie ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I bought the most expensive membership…
I bought the most expensive membership without any discounts thinking it will allow me to take my daughter to soft play as part of Crèche.
1. The website or app does not specify that the soft play is not included in crèche and that this center does not even have crèche.
2. The gym is always supper busy and the toilets are dirty as if we are in some £20 a month gym!
3. The leg workout machines are all out of balance.

Avoid, very dirty
I have been in 3 of their centres, all very dirty, we can not even change our daughters inside because there is no clean space.
Also very bad customer service, we are trying to cancel our memberships for more than 1 month as we cannot figure it out in my account which one is what. We got 3 parking charges although we paid the parking via their app. Worst company I have ever deal with.

Staff at gym polite and helpful. Slow to respond to online queries. Membership write ups are misleading. Poor quality equipment. Equipment repairs take far too long.

I love this place
I love this place. The sense of community spirit and support from both the staff and the other gym-goers is second to none. Quite literally 'my happy place' :-)

Most comfortable gym I’ve ever been to!
I’ve been coming to this gym since it opened in 2019, for me finding a gym where I feel comfortable and has a good vibe and good energy is super important. Everyone that goes to this gym is so easy going and friendly, they just get on with it but also make everyone feel welcoming. The classes are great and the location is super convenient for me, I’ve been coming religiously for 6 years and I’ve gone to many gyms in the past even super high end ones and this has been my favourite :) staff and trainers are lovely and friendly also! Thanks guys :)
