A lovely leisure centre , always greeted with polite staff . Willing to help and answer questions. Have just joined as a member as I really enjoy swimming. Plenty of other activities.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with this gym. Despite having a legally binding, signed contract from my school for this academic year, they outright refused to accept it. This lack of professionalism is a complete waste of time, especially when all necessary documentation was provided and should have been valid. It’s frustrating to deal with an establishment that disregards legal agreements, showing a blatant disregard for their customers’ time and commitments. Not recommended if you’re looking for a gym that values professionalism and respects contractual obligations.

Read the small print
Helpful staff who, when I asked why my morning swim booking was not available, they pointed out that I had booked the training pool for an adult session. Apparently lots of people do this and you need to check. It would be good if it warned you that as an adult you are booking a swim session in a 90cm pool!

Extremely accommodating and friendly
My GP recommended that I do water activities due to the permanent damage to my lower spine which will help due to the damage caused to my heart by a heart attack.
Better has extremely friendly staff both on the phone and in person. Classes can be cancelled 4 hours before they start and the money is given as a credit. As a disabled person who suffers with chronic pain and never knows how I'm going to feel each day, this is an amazing service.

Excellent pool party at Horley!! Highly recommend!!
Booking, reception & lifeguards were all excellent. Super well organised. Great changing facilities ready for our group. Inflatable excellent fun & lifeguards were superb - fun & safe. Very professional. Studio for food after excellent facility. Will do it again.

I had a health assessment with Caroline and she listened to my concerns and started me on an easy programme in the gym. Recognizing my limitations and didn't suggest a programme I could not complete

I am enjoying the services as they’re all new to me. The premises are light, airy and clean. There could be a lot more classes for yoga, Pilates and aqua as they book up so quickly especially during the morning slots. Good instructors there.

No more techno gym equipment its the worst kind of gym equipment
Lots of the machines don’t work and there isn’t many variations of machines there too much techno gym equipment and it just dosent target the right muscle group and there need to be less of those pushing hand grip machines no one uses them and there’s too many add more machine that target the chest as there is only two as far as I’m aware

There is something for everyone
There is something for everyone, the reception staff are very helpful and friendly. The pickle ball was great fun and the yoga very relaxing. I enjoyed the gym with a variety of equipment, the overall experience is easy with no complicated procedures just join, park and go.
Reception can help with the joining procedure on the ipads.

Lovely leisure centre
Lovely leisure centre, clean and with really helpful reception staff, particularly the young lady on duty early evening. You were let down by 2 of the 4 showers being out of order. Also felt, as a newby, more information could have been given to start us off - how to enter the centre (without having to ask), what we needed for the lesson. This could be dealt with via a message app if the instructor doesn’t have the time.

Not a great experience at all
Not a great experience at all. Booked on to a 'swim for all' session with the family but as soon as we got in the pool, the 'fun police' were all over us asking how far our children could swim. My daughter swam a whole length on her back but apparently this isn't allowed, she had to prove she can swim on her front? Even though she did swim back on her front, for the whole rest of our session their beady eyes were on us constantly making us feel very uncomfortable and making it a very joyless experience. I think the website should re-title 'swim for ALL' as 'swim for strong swimmers ONLY'. Needless to say we won't be going back.

Thank you for your review.
It is stated in our swim safety rules that: Swim testing by lifeguards may be implemented to check the ability of swimmers before they are allowed into the deep end of the main pool. This will be at the discretion of the lifeguard on position.
This is for health and safety reasons. I am sorry if you did not feel that this was dealt with in the best way but the lifeguards are there to ensure the safety of all of our customers and this may be in the form of keeping an eye on some customers who they feel are not strong swimmers to make sure they are safe.
We hope that this does not discourage you from attending our centres.

Dreadful first experience of a group…
Dreadful first experience of a group class (Aquarobics) last night. No differentiation from the trainer, not a clue what was an exercise for the class or her just ‘dancing’ around. Will not be going again! Also, no explanation in the changing rooms about using / releasing the key in the lockers ! Really not impressed !
