I’m loving it!!! Lovely tutor with absolute control over the class. As a matured adult I find the participants well balanced. Starting seeing results as a matter of fact.

i cant swim anymore
hi i'm a gym member of your thamesmead site staff are lovely especially lawrence who will allways make you feel welcome when he's on shift. i use gym everyday but recently for health wise i have started swimming every week twice a week 2 weeks ago i had to ask staff to turn up the showers as they were freezing which i hadn't experienced before and then they were scolding hot i got out the showers and then another swimmer exsperienced the same she could not even shower herself down it was that hot i did complain and next time it was a little warmer today i couldn't even swim i got in the pool and it was the coldest it's been i had to get out i told lewis and i said i will not becoming swimming no more he put hes thumbs up and politely said ok. is this an answer ? i don't pay a membership to feel freezing cold to not even be able to warm up wot happened to exercise and swimming for health which is why i have been put on the health wise scheme lewis said we don't control the temperature but i know it was not the same today if its not controlled why does the temperature differ from a luke warm which is comfortable to a hot turkish bath to freezing and uncomfortable can u be like this with temperatures and still exspect people to pay to go swimming and have memberships

We’re genuinely sorry to hear about the issues you've had with the shower and pool temperatures. We completely understand how frustrating and uncomfortable that must have been, especially when you're attending regularly as part of the Healthwise programme. It’s important to us that all our facilities support your health and fitness goals in a safe and comfortable environment.
Your feedback has been passed to the management and maintenance teams for urgent review. While our team on site may not directly control the temperature systems, we are investigating the inconsistencies to ensure this doesn’t continue. Reliable water temperature is essential — you should never feel discouraged from using the facilities you're paying for.
We’d also like to apologise if the response you received on the day didn’t feel supportive. That’s not the level of service we aim to provide, and we will look into that too.

Great friendly staff
Great friendly staff. Everything is well organised and the changing rooms are always clean and tidy. Customers using the centre are also friendly and very welcoming. There is also good variety of classes.

Amazing teachers
The teachers who teach my daughter laila on a Tuesday evening are absolutely fantastic! I like that they take no messing around from the kids to enable them learning constantly! Amazing teachers!

he service I received was the worst
he service I received was the worst. My son’s lessons were moved from Thursday to Saturday so he can have lessonswith instructors, even though it was confirmed multiple times that no parents needed to be at water for the swimming lessons before swapping the days. Unfortunately, this change was not actioned as intended, and he missed opportunity. This has been the worst service ever.

Pleasant space and service
My instructor I don’t remember her name (currently pregnant) knows her job well and conveys confidence. The environment feels safe and welcoming. The temperature of the pool is beautiful.

Fantastic Centre
I’ve been a member for a few years at this centre and the management team have always been very kind and helpful with me. It’s really nice to see new equipment added in to the gym which has improved my training sessions significantly. I also went for my first fitness swim the other week as I have started to become a hybrid athlete and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. 5 stars

The fitness classes are excellent, and our instructors are great, they told us what each exercise does for your body, we just got some new equipments that help with our exercises

I've been a member for 20 years
I've been a member for 20 years. I give 5 stars for the centre and its staff but 1 star for the way the central facilities management team have handled the water temperature of the pool and showers over the past few months and the replacement of the old boilers. Even school swimming has been cancelled on several occasions because the pool temperature has been too low. It has spoiled the experience for many!
The staff at the centre are great, friendly and helpful.
I've recently started going to the Friday coffee mornings held in the reception area. What a great idea bringing people who use different activities in the centre together for a free cup of coffee/tea, even though I don't drink either they manage to find me some peppermint tea from somewhere. Keep up the good work and here's hoping the central facilities team pull their socks up re the water temps
