Would recommend this place
I used the gym and had a good experience. It’s spacious, light and a comfortable temperature. All kinds of people use the gym and it’s a friendly atmosphere. Was happy to know that you get 4 free sessions per year included in your membership with a trainer to create a workout.

Great place, great staff
Great place. Coffee shop is really good. All staff are really welcoming and give every person all the attention they need. Centre is kept very clean. I visit 3 times a week and it's always an enjoyable and pleasant experience.

All the staff are friendly and very…
All the staff are friendly and very welcoming. They explain about classes and what they entail. I have been to three classes and have enjoyed each one especially the aqua aerobics. I had a referral when I started and am very happy with everything up to now. Even the girl in the cafe is very nice.

Great Leisure Centre
Great Leisure Centre, staff are all so helpful and friendly , nothing is too much trouble, they are thoughtful and considerate of people's situations and needs. Hayley was particularly helpful and assisted me in sorting out my membership, downloading the app etc.

Impossible to get hold of a person to…
Impossible to get hold of a person to discuss any issues with. Staff at the actual centres are great but any account issues are difficult to resolve.
Waiting for a hairdryer for 18 months in my centre. Having to kneel on the floor and use the hand dryer.

Great spin class and instructor, shocking bikes
I like the spin class and the instructor. The classes are fast paced, challenging and enjoyable.
I dislike the bikes which are falling to bits. They are awful and you should be embarrassed to put your name to them. They are definitely not Better. A year ago there were 15, now there are 9, bits are missing from them, pain is flaking off and they are in poor condition. You should invest in new bikes or you will lose members.

Disgusted by the behaviour of a member…
Disgusted by the behaviour of a member of staff towards a family with young children. The way she sent her male colleague to them repeatedly intimidating and threatening to kick them out of the pool just because she doesn't like what the were wearing! I was there by the reception the whole time this happened. When the family finally had enough and leaving the venue, she was trying to be nice and telling them she can't tell them what to wear as its DISCRIMINATING. However, she can threatened to kick them out for not wearing appropriate clothing! How can someone with this types of Racist view can work at a public place? I heard the family was there yesterday also and had no issues regarding clothing.
But suddenly it was a problem today!
The other member of staff were apologetic but she just disappeared to the office and once came out to ask her colleagues " did they came here wearing this yesterday?"
They said yes and she just shook her head and dissappear again. No apology from her.
I really felt for the young children's 5 to 6 years old crying.
I will never go there ever again if she is still there working.
ATTENTION: BETTER MANAGEMENT!

Simple swim he streets we…
It's no wonder kids Rome the streets we went here last Saturday-can't swim they had lessons until nearly midday (half day gone by then ) went today being Monday. With my 2 eldest. To find out yet agsin we can't swim . As there are lessons ??? What the bloody hell is going on ? Back jn the day if there were kessins a section would be closed if all if it . Where are kids meant to go these days ? Bring back empire pool ..as a kid I could go pretty much anytime we liked shocking .

Absoloutley shocking wellness company
Absoloutley shocking wellness company. I’ve been a member with Better for well over 7 years purely because they’re the only gym in my vicinity so convenience is key. I recently discovered they changed my concessionary membership to a regular membership. I changed the membership back and had to then re provide proof. Which I did, a bank statement. To which I had a reply ‘no date or year on statement’ i then submitted again with another statement including the required details. To which they replied ‘Bank statements not accepted’….which they should’ve said in the first response. I then submitted another document which was rejected due to no address. I then resubmitted it with an address to which they replied the document was altered….After the 5th try they finally accepted another document. It was an extremely painstaking and unnecessary situation. Now for the gym I use. What an abysmal, poor excuse for a gym. Machines have been out of order for months, ropes are frayed, weight pegs snapped, weights missing, rubber handles ripped off grips, and poor sanitation. This gym allows young kids to attend after school, however there are no staff regularly in the gym area so the kids use it as a free for all, messing about, slamming weights, playing with machines and using free weights/bench press, which they are not allowed to use due to safety concerns. However the staff never seem to be concerned, which is worrying as there’s so many of them floating around doing nothing. I would add photos but trustpilot wont allow me to.

Nice friendly Leisure Centre
Use the leisure centre 6 days a week - mix of gym and various classes.
Staff / Instructors are brilliant - very helpful and friendly which makes the whole experience extremely enjoyable.
A nice mix of classes that cater for all ages and the new additions this year are brilliant.
Could do with some extra / new equipment for some classes though 😀

This centre, has given me the confidence to take part,,,I started back to exercise 1 session a week, and quickly realised my potential was far greater. The staff engage, and encourage our participation,and make it a real community place to be. This was my first leisure centre I attended as a young woman, and now have that sense of belonging again as I enter my retirement and 3rd age. Bet you cant say that about many places, started in my 20s, left Cardiff for over 35 years, and now returned in my mid 60s. It's a real gem in our community

Great place to train...
Excellent centre, staff amazingly friendly and welcoming. I've been using this centre for a few years now and wouldn't change. Some equipment could be updated like spin bikes, but that's the only negative thing here. I would highly recommend
