Frustrating and Confusing Application Process at Bizmates
I applied for the Business Trainer position at Bizmates and had a series of unfortunate experiences during the application process that I feel compelled to share.
After passing the initial one-way interview on August 30th, I scheduled my first demo lesson for September 2nd. The first facilitator had no issues, and I provided my technical requirements and PC specifications. Unfortunately, I had to reschedule due to a family emergency.
For my second demo lesson on September 4th, I again submitted my technical requirements. This time, however, the second facilitator claimed there was a problem with my internet speed, despite meeting the 2 Mbps requirement. I sent additional screenshots, but on the day of the lesson, I was told I missed it and could only reschedule by submitting screenshots within 24 hours.
After sending the required screenshots, I waited two days for a response, which prompted me to reach out to the helpdesk. Once I received a reply, I scheduled a third demo lesson for September 11th. However, this facilitator raised new issues with my technical setup, even advising against investing in a new PC, which I needed to meet their specifications.
I ultimately purchased a new PC and submitted the required screenshots, only to face more obstacles. I scheduled a fourth demo lesson for September 20th, and once again, I had to resend the screenshots. On the day of this lesson, the facilitator from the QA team brought up my initial technical requirements, adding confusion to an already convoluted process. She also asked for my qualifications before I could proceed, which seemed contrary to standard practice.
Throughout this experience, it felt as though each facilitator was operating independently, creating inconsistencies and confusion. After passing a demo lesson a year prior without these issues, I was disheartened by the lack of clear communication and support.
In the end, I decided to withdraw my application, as I do not foresee a positive working environment at Bizmates. The lack of cohesive processes and clear standards raises serious concerns about the companyâs values and support for potential employees.
