Black Label Creations helped us create and develop our first supplement product. It was the first time we were researching and entering this space. Anna P was amazing at not only formulating the product, but educating us on the different ingredients. She was extremely thorough and presented us with brilliant ideas which resulted in a formula with far more benefits than we originally hoped.
We are now looking forward to moving into production in the near future

Be very wary of this company. At first glance they seem legit and ethical but after 10 months working with them i still had no product and i started to see many holes in the way they do business. At first glance they seem like they have worked to bring many brands to life but if you try to find any of the brands on their website, none of them have a social presence other than one or 2. The rest are just concept designs they have come up with to make it look good.

They are simply a middle man that outsources the manufacturing to other companies, THEY DO NOT MAKE ANYTHING THEMSELVES!!! if you do your research you can find a direct manufacturer that will work out a lot better for you in the long run and save you money as they will routinely increase the quotes they give you citing reasons such as "ingredient prices have gone up'. It took 3 months for Abbie and Anna to gather information about the ingredients so i could get the vegan society accreditation, in this time Adil put the price up on more than one occasion stating that quotes are only valid for 30 days, that would usually be fine but if i am waiting 3 months for some simple ingredient information this is just totally unacceptable, especially once i speak to other manufacturers and they tell me the ingredient prices should not have gone up by any significant amount in such a short time.

Moving on to the branding and logo, i paid over £6000 for a logo and one stand up pouch design, seems crazy saying that now but at the time i thought it was essential to use them to have the correct statutory and legal information on the packaging. I could have got my own graphic designer to do this work for 10% of what they were asking. They sex it all up for you in a lovely presentation but when it comes down to it, it was £6000 for a logo and one package design. For the next package design which was technically just a colour variation and some wording alteration that was an additional £540. Anyone who has worked with graphic designers knows this is extortionate!!!

Once i had paid for the designing/branding phase things started to go downhill, black label really started to show their incompetence and lack of effort. They don't manufacture anything themselves so they put their fee on top and increase it when ever they see fit. At times i would wait 5/6 days to a reply to an email.

When i did the taste testing phase i was told unlimited retries until you get the flavour you are happy with. The first 5/6 were vile and pretty much undrinkable. I was new to this industry to didn't want to seem rude and risk damaging a working relationship so i just asked for more flavour to be added. This went on for months and eventually they said i had gone over my limit and had to pay per sample now, even tho in my contract it stated unlimited retries. Once again i just paid because i didn't want to ruin a working relationship.

No doubt Chris will reply about their "prestigious magazine articles" like you can't just pay to have these done now. They aren't worth the paper they are printed on.

It was an expensive lesson to learn but the supplement industry is riddled with unscrupulous people that will promise you the world and let you down once they have what they want. I was close to giving up on the venture and extremely disheartened after almost 1 year and best part of £10000 down. I told them i had run out of money and partied ways with them. I decided to do one last google search and i found a fantastic company who i am now starting the process with and it's going great. Just for comparison they charge £500 for the packaging design which is less than 10% of what black label charge.

90 minutes after i posted my google review a 5 star review went up from a reviewer with no previous history, seems very dodgy like they are trying to boost their score up and hide my review.Do you research and take your time if you are looking to get into the supplement industry and stay away from black label at all costs!!!
