Very helpful and patient service
I have difficulty finding comfortable walking shoes and was not confident about buying a new pair. However, I found the assistant, Sue, exceptionally patient and helpful, so ended up walking out with a pair from the sale, at great value for money! In addition the knowledge that I could try them at home and return within 28 days, if not happy, was very reassuring.

My experience was brilliant
My experience was brilliant! I was helped by Sue who was incredibly patient with me and helped me locate a rucksack for travelling. I feel put at ease and excited and can’t thank her enough for her help today!!!

Great experience
My wife and I called in to look for a light weight puffer style jacket. Good selection also some good deals in the sale, we were served by James who was very knowledgeable and friendly. We ended up buying a jacket each and received extra discount for National Trust membership.

Great Service from James
Big thanks to James for helping me with patience and knowledge to purchase a pair of Brasher Country Walker II’s before a trip to Peru and the Amazon. Boots are comfortable and held up well for the trip and beyond although Wellingtons were the footwear of choice in the rainforest.

Excellent service
Excellent service. All questions were answered by Josh and his advice was appreciated on how to take care of my new walking boots. I could not fault his final question when he asked if I was a member of the National Trust - I was! This entitled me to a further 15% discount, which I fully appreciated. I have not visited this store before but I will do in the future.

Sue and Molly (Bristol, Broadmead store) were very patient but were not pushy. They gave us advice and assistance when we asked for it, but left us alone to make our decisions. We ended up spending more than £158 in store, even after National Trust discount as a result!

I’ve been using blacks for som 30 +…
I’ve been using blacks for som 30 + years now and even more this year as I’m planning a fairly big trip, Josh has been my go to sales assistant, he has a really good knowledge of all the products in store and has a really pleasant what can I do to help type of persona, Josh is a real credit to the blacks store, thanks again for all your help.

Choosing walking gear for the camino
