From start to finish bonamy made it easy and seamless. Helping chose a great itinerary for our family with two small kids. The the choice of safari Lodge and relaxing Lodges around South Africa has given us life long memories. THANK YOU. Would definitely use you again.

We decided to go with Bonamy to organize - or rather let them organize - our honeymoon in Namibia after they were referred to us by friends that shared their experience there with us.
What can we say other than this was a recommendation for the ages ?
We started discussing early on with James, who quickly set up a 2 weeks long clockwise round trip around almost the whole territory of Namibia for us. Everything was close to perfection, the initial itinerary was great but they were quick to adapt to our few requests (places we specifically wanted to visit more than others, or activities we insisted on doing or not).
The itinerary was thoroughly complete, with detailed explanations on the sites we were visiting, the activities that they pre-booked for us there, the do's and don'ts of the country, some really useful tips on the local culture... Nothing was missing to make this trip perfect.
We went for the full self-driving tour, and every step of the journey was detailed to perfection. We almost got lost the only time we decided to trust Google Maps when the more-than-precise driving instructions would have avoided such a situation...

At no point did we feel like this was a standard trip that we didn't have any insights on. And getting there with EVERYTHING taken care of (car rental, every hotel/lodge/camp booking, places to visit, pre-booked and bonus activities on site...) was such a relief that we could really focus on the main reason we went there in the first place : having the time of our life without worrying a single second about the logistics or planning.
And we did !

Hats off to Bonamy (and James in particular), you made this once-in-a-lifetime trip as memorable as we wanted it to be for this more than special occasion.

We couldn't be more pleased with the service we received from Bonamy. Our desires were thoughtfully considered and we were then given suggestions that we hadn't even considered, which turned into an incredible itinerary. We had the most wonderful time and would definitely use Bonamy again.

Bonamy Travel are great. I was very worried about using a travel company as I am an experienced traveller and have always done my own thing. Not having any real experience of Arica but wanting a special experience for my family I started my research and found Bonamy. I was very hesitant about using a company but Vanessa was brilliant at realising what we wanted and being very patient with me changing my mind and not really knowing what I wanted. My brief was Victoria Falls and a safari and wow did she deliver!

I never felt at any time I was being pushed into anything, Vanessa listened and things were changed to suit our needs. I’m glad I also listened and ended up in both Cape Town and Zimbabwe.

It was a fantastic holiday that our boys (9 and 15) will remember for a long time. All the places Vanessa recommended were amazing, as were the staff at these places. In fact it’s the staff the children mention more when we talk about the holiday than what they did and saw.

Vanessa certainly didn’t just stop when holiday was booked she was there for advice and help for the 3 weeks we were away.

Bonamy Travel provided a first rate experience. James and team listened carefully to our brief, demonstrated great knowledge in putting together exciting options and were responsive throughout. We had a tremendous family holiday and really wouldn't have changed anything in the itinerary. We cannot recommend Bonamy enough. We were overwhelmed (and honestly a little skeptical) when it came to planning an African safari. We reached out to several travel companies and Bonamy was the right fit from the beginning. Toby and Vanessa helped us build the trip of our dreams. They asked us questions to help determine our travel style and sent us sample itineraries based on what we asked for—including a restricted budget and specific requirements about the trip. We ended up booking a trip to a location we weren’t even considering (Zimbabwe), and it turned out to be EXACTLY what we wanted. They answered all of our questions along the way and prepared us for our safari. When we had a few hiccups (flight delays that were completely out of their control), Vanessa checked in before we even had a chance to reach out to her. She helped us book a last-minute airport hotel and coordinated updated flights for us—truly a life saver in a stressful moment. Everything about our safari was far beyond our expectations and we can’t wait to work with Bonamy again.

It was not just a trip, or a holiday. It was something totally different, a complete experience full of adventure and learning.
We spend 10 days in Kenya in our first Africa tour, visiting Masai Mara North Conservancy and Amboseli National Park. The accommodations, staff, game drives, safari guides, everything was perfect and Bonamy was in every detail throughout our trip.
Bonamy not only made the best experience in our life so far, but also they built a day by day as if they knew us deeply. They asked us the perfect questions to know exactly what we were looking for and deliver something to us that really blew our minds and hearts.
But above all, we highly recommend them as they are highly professional group of people who create nature trips, with awareness, care, and are clearly passionate and lovers of Africa.
We will definitely repeat many adventures through Africa with them. Cant wait for the next adventure.

Bonamy helped us plan and book our honeymoon to South Africa, Zambia, & Malawi in October of 2022, and we loved it so much we booked another with them less than 2 years later! We just returned from a trip to Uganda and Kenya, and I cannot recommend the team at Bonamy enough. From planning to logistics to personalization and constant support, they have made both trips the greatest experiences of our lives. We will absolutely continue to use them for our next Africa trip and recommend them to everyone!

James and Bonamy organised my recent trip to Zambia and could not have been more helpful. Their expertise in arranging quite a complex trip to Ndola and Kasama for work and then to South Lunagwa for safari was first rate, with all the hotels, drivers, connections expertly arranged and delivered by the most courteous staff. Travelling alone on my first trip to Africa, I was quite apprehensive but I really didn't need to be, James and the team took care of everything and went the extra mile to ensure I had a high quality experience throughout.

Couldn’t have asked for more from the Bonamy team having used them for several trips. They are extremely knowledgeable and really look to understand what you are looking for from the trip. Toby and James were so flexible in making sure we had the best trip and from start to finish they made sure that we were all set. I couldn’t have been more impressed by the level of service throughout. They provided honest and thoughtful opinions of places which makes such a difference, our trip would have been a lot different without their advice and was so much better for it. I will certainly use Bonamy again and would recommend to anyone looking to book any sort of trip to Africa.

Yet again, a fantastic trip planned and arranged by Bonamy Travel. Lovely hotels and lodges and memorable experiences throughout our safari. All the transfers and assistance requested worked like clockwork and the people involved couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. The attention to detail Bonamy gives, from initial planning to confirmation and help with everything one needs to make a trip go smoothly, is quite unprecedented. Not surprising that we already have another trip booked with them!

We had an amazing family vacation - thanks to Bonamy's great knowledge & experience. At any point we felt supported from Bonamy throughout the preparation and the vacation itself. We will definitely travel with them again!

Our road trip to Namibia in October with Bonamy travel was brilliant! 
It was expertly planned and arranged by James to suit both our budget and our preferences. Communication was easy, as James responded promptly to any questions which we had. 
In Windhoek, we were met by Christina, Bonamy’s friendly contact on the ground , who helped us get up and running and suggested suitable restaurants. The 4 x 4, incl. rooftop tent, which we hired through Bonamy had all the necessary equipment for camping.
 The accommodation ranged from luxury lodges to a couple of campsites along the way, which all added to the wealth of experiences we gathered as we travelled. Furthermore we really appreciated the warm welcome we were given at each of the places which had been specially chosen and booked for us to stay at.
 Our route encompassed the desert, the coast and Etosha National Park, which allowed us to see so much of what Namibia has to offer. In addition, Bonamy travel provided us with the information about numerous activities besides those offered at our accommodation.
The walk up the Big Daddy dune, elephant and leopard tracking were particularly memorable. 
To see wildlife in such close proximity was absolutely incredible.

Vanessa and Toby were helpful from the start. The trip they planned was wonderful. A trip of a lifetime. Vanessa answered a million questions we all had. She even had me take a photo of my packing to help me decide what to bring. Her tour guide was excellent and knowledgeable too. Would highly recommend this company and have already to friends going to S. Africa.

We used Bonamy to design a trip to see pangolins. That turned out to be harder than I would have thought. We started in Congo with western lowland gorillas, and wonderful bai full of elephants and a few other large animals. We did a some kayaking and walked thru a trail created by elephants which was hip deep in water. Then on to CAR, where the lodge did run a pangolin rescue, but hadn't had one in years. We visited a great viewing platform over a bai that was full of elephants, including golden elephants whose rolling in the mud made them look royal. We hunted (sort of) with a forest dwelling tribe, and went on some nice hikes, the Valley of the Giants being the highlight. Unfortunately, it rained the first day we were there, so no one was with the gorillas, and, as a consequence we never got to see the gorillas or mangabeys. We ended in the nicest place we have ever stayed (not just in Africa)- Tswalu. We had 5 days of very productive game drives, and were pampered to an extent we had never previously experienced. We saw lions several mornings, including a mating pair, and a pride on a kill. We also saw a cheetah mother & cubs on a kill. We were also at a meerkat den at sunrise to see the adorable denizens. And finally, due to the sedulous work of our tracker, we saw our pangolin. Our guides everywhere were outstanding, and our long & complex trip went off without any problems.

Bonamy organized our two latest trips to Africa (both to Zambia, the last one combined with Malawi). Both trips were planned to perfection for us. The team is very knowledgeable and advised us with passion and (a lot of) patience (especially with fulfilling all our special requests or ideas). For both trips, they drafted several options and were very good at guiding us towards the options that suited us best. The team is very responsive and the execution of every detail of our trips left no room for improvement. Last but not least: they are a lot of fun to work with. We look forward to planning our next trip with them and would highly recommend them!

Great knowledge and advice! Having not done a safari before they were great at giving a summary of the best options to work with our preferences and budget. The whole process felt really easy and efficient. We would highly recommend!!

Where does one begin when describing a trip of a lifetime? Firstly, a huge thank you to Vanessa who organised this trip so thoughtfully and meticulously, our needs were met every step of the way.
I had initially contacted Vanessa to organise a trip in Botswana, as I had heard it was the only place to go on Safari. However, Vanessa, in what she called her 'Curve ball', suggested exploring Zimbabwe and what a pay off it was!
Being on safari during the 'Off" season or 'rainy season' can be a bit hit and miss, I was told, so I went into the experience not expecting to see that much.
Not only did I see almost everything that I had wanted to see but in numbers that I could have only dreamt of. The highlight of the trip was in Bomani Lodge in Hwange National park, where we came across a pride of 16 Lions passing right in front of our vehicle and then coming to rest a little further on. Being a passionate photographer this was beyond a dream come true!
In a nut shell, it was an experience I will never forget and will be forever grateful for Vanessa for organising this trip for me. Her personal experience in this region made her able to suggest this location and we experienced something truly magical.
There is no question I will be using Bonamy again to organise my next Safari destination.

Toby and James were amazing from start to finish. It was our honeymoon and we had decided upon a safari but had no idea what country, let alone which camp ! After chatting to Toby he put together the most incredible itinerary though Botswana and Mozambique with so many personal touches . Every lodge Bonamy suggested was beautiful and the overall experience fantastic. I have already recommended Bonamy to friends and family and will continue to ! Thank you

What excellent service & advice we had when we contacted Toby. Having given a very basic request for a safari followed by some relaxation we were provided with various options & so were able to tailor our trip until we were happy. I have to say that the service just didn't end there. Blighted by the pandemic Toby (combined later with James) kept in touch with us regularly, adjusting & readjusting our adventure taking all the hassle & strain away. Having listened to our thoughts he put together a superb trip combining of the Angama Mara (Keyna) & Xanadu Villas (Zanzibar). Always happy to help with 'any' query we also found the online safari portal excellent help from, checking the correct documents, advice on the travel, to, a full overview of the holiday.
