Good For The Price
I like renting books from here. I had rented for about 2 semesters now. It is so much cheaper than buying or renting books that you will never use again from your college. I rented a book for $15 dollars for the whole semester and the book actually cost $115. It took a little while for them to get here so order early. Overall GREAT.

Over paid for shipping, which was not next day.
I found the customer service to be impersonal. I paid $19.99 to receive next day shipping, however Bookrenter does not really offer next day shipping. I had to wait 1 or 2 processing days. I placed my order July 1st to receive July 2nd, received I received my books July 5th.

We apologize for the confusion. The shipping methods listed on our website (https://www.bookrenter.com/shipping) are as follows:

Express Shipping takes up to 4 business days (1-2 business days + 2 business days processing)
Express Plus Shipping takes up to 3 business days (1 business day + 2 business days processing)
Orders placed Monday-Friday before 10 a.m. Pacific Time have the current and next business day to process and ship. Orders placed after 10 a.m. Pacific Time will process and ship over the next two business days. Our published shipping timeframes are good faith estimates only based on our standard shipping methods. Although we desire to meet our published timelines, we can’t guarantee what day/date you will actually receive your order. Our records indicate that your order was placed before a holiday weekend; unfortunately weekends and holidays are not considered business days.

So far, so good
I just received my first textbook rental. It was priced well at $15.80 for a 90 day rental. My class is only 8 weeks and I did not want to pay $157 for the textbook. I received the book 6 days after I ordered it. The book is in great condition. The fine print said I could highlight in it, as long as it wasn't excessive. That surprised me. I have yet to return a textbook, but it seems easy enough. I saved the box they shipped it to me in and will print a label off their site when the time comes. So far this has been a great experience and I would recommend.

1 day shipping = 5 days
Waste of money to pay for 1 day shipping. Bookrenter apparently has a 1-2 day processing time allowance and no delivery estimator like other sites.

Book was fine, shipping not so...
Paid $9.99 extra for expedited shipping. With a weekend and 4th of July in between, it arrived at about the same time, the regular free shipping would have arrived. This was a waste of money.
