I nearly walked, but there was Karen
Karen is my hero. A life saver. Having had my high-end hearing aids stolen in Spain, I was struggling with my hearing loss and desperate to replace them as soon as possible. I called in to ask what could be done on the day after I got home. Karen saw me within minutes, without an appointment, and performed several miracles to enable me to be fitted with my new hearing aids later that same day, despite all kinds of obstacles that had to be overcome! Amazing service, and all done with courtesy and smiles.
Had it not been for Karen, I would have gone elsewhere, thanks to an officious lady in the same store who showed an amazing lack of empathy, understanding and helpfulness, when I needed a quiet spot to phone my bank (having considerable hearing loss and no hearing aids!) regarding payment of the considerable amount of money that I needed to hand over. But no other shop had Karen on their staff. That will keep me going back to Boots.
However, that officious lady needs an empathy transplant! Someone tell management!

Restoring my Confidence in Boots Hearing Care
My frustration and disenchantment with Boots Hearing Care recently, has been restored after my appointment with Nina at Forestside in Belfast today. The appointment allocation system is awful and seems to me, based on my experience to be unfit for purpose. It seems too that there are not enough audiologists to cope with the number of hearing aids sold. I discovered today that, whilst entitled to a first review I had not been called by Boots.
However after my appointment today with Boots Hearing Care their reputation was enhanced and to some extent, my confidence as a customer in their service restored.
I found Nina (audiologist), personable, highly competent, responsive to my particular issues, warm and friendly. She reassessed my hearing levels, making any adjustments required leaving me feeling reassured. It’s important that after buying a seriously expensive item like a hearing aid that there is adequate follow up, maintenance and support. Nina also allocated my next appointment in January 2025 and assured me that she will respond to any issues arising over the coming months. She’s a very valuable asset to Boots.
