Treated like a criminal!
Boscov's allowed me to shop mask free all of 2020 with a medical condition. 3 weeks ago I attempted to shop as always and was verbally attacked loudly by a woman who asked what my condition was and if I had proof (both against the law), threatening to call security and have me thrown out. I asked for a manager and he came and told me I have to leave too very loudly and rudely. He also told me I would have to try on shoes at home! Really? This manager had on a mask two sizes too small. They both could have been nice and quiet about it, but choose to make an example of me. I filed a report with the ADA. I will never spend another dime on this company again. This is America, land of the free, not home dictatorship China. Customer service is everything regardles of a customers condition.

Jewelry Dept repair
Jewelry Dept. they called to say the estimate was in for the ring I had purchased on Dec 2020 for my grand daughter. Estimate was $100 and change. Informed them I had purchased the optional warranty coverage so they could not locate it so I asked them what they needed and I would call back with the information. Of course it was registered under my name They needed more. The lady Gina was very rude and hung up while I was trying to ask her a question on who to call. Very bad customer service Better training on how to help customers is needed. Remember no customers no business!!

Yesterday I was with my mother, my sister and my daughter at colonie center Boscovs. We parked right outside their entrance. My mother and sister both bought items from boscovs.. and my mom was looking into another recliner to go with her $1000 couch she purchased months ago.
My family shops at boscovs ALL the time! Very frequently actually.
Well yesterday after they purchased their few items we went to get something to eat (not for long because the mall was closing soon). As it was 5:52 we started walking back to boscovs to get to the car. The food court is directly across from boscovs.
We were inside the store by 5:55, walking towards the exit, as my mom suddenly says she needs to use the restroom. And you could tell on my moms facial express that it was urgent. My mom is 68 years old and if she doesn’t go in time, she CANNOT hold it. We had literally just walked passed the bathroom in the store. So I said, well go ahead mom. My sister continued to walk outside but I stayed to wait for my mother. Plus I’m 38 weeks pregnant and had just finished walking close to two hours in the mall, pushing around my 1 1/2 year old daughter, so I didn’t mind waiting on my mom. As soon as we turn back around for the bathroom, which was probably 10/20 feet back. A worker named Waseem tells us the store is closing in 5 minutes. We said okay we are on our way out, my mom just needs to use the restroom. He looked annoyed and just repeated again that the store was closing.
We continued to go to the restroom. We weren’t even rude at all, she just needed to go! I decided to wait right outside for her. This man is staring at me angrily and repeating over and over that the store is closing. I said yes, we know. We are done shopping. My mom just needs to use the restroom. Please give us a minute. We are leaving right now. It was about 5:58/5:59 and I can hear the toilet flushing... by now the man has called another associate over to us. We are literally walking towards the exit. This woman comes aggressively and speed walking and says “where’s the customer??” This women comes to escort us, more like kick us out the store! She immediately starts with “come on come on let’s go this way!” And I tell her we’re walking out, can you relax. I’m 9 months pregnant and my mom needed to use the restroom, but we are literally walking out. It was as if she was expecting me and my mother to run the way she was treating us and speaking to us. My mom was trying her best to walk quickly, I couldn’t walk as quickly... the woman was very insensitive and just horrible customer service. No concern for us at all but to pretty much get the hell out the store. The whole walk to the exit was her with “come on come on, this way!” “Let’s go let’s go”... there were two other customers approaching the exit as well who they were also kicking out. Two other elderly women. One must have been about 60/70 and the other was her mother who was atleast 80, and she was in a walker!! She could barely walk. And this female associate was telling her to hurry up! No empathy at all for any of us. We were all out the door by 6:03. I understand we didn’t make it out by 6. But do you see who you’re rushing? 3 elderly women, and a 9 month pregnant woman pushing a 1 year old. It’s not like we were teenagers just being careless. We are literally on our way out!!!!! Had you not rushed us, we could have been out by 6:05, and it could have been a much more pleasant experience. You could have walked by our side by all means, you could have just spoken to us and thanked us for shopping with you guys. It would have been a completely different experience. Instead I am very upset. And I held my composure. But I will be calling as soon as the store opens to speak with management because I felt like we were all treated so very poorly. I did not get the woman’s name, but she was light skinned, probably about 5’3, with dreads.
How would you feel if your mother or grandmother was treated like this? I’m honestly disgusted.
Bad Service
I love this store. It has always been my favorite place to shop. Although my last few visits have been quite bad. Boscovs welcoming service is quite terrible! Today I was wiping down a cart (Just in case) and this employee has the audacity to talk back and call me out. Very rude he replied saying he already wiped and continued to remark me for simply re-wiping the cart. This is very disappointing especially when it has happened many times. In all my overall complaint is bad service!

I placed an order for some fabric dinner napkins. They arrived promptly and were exactly as described and pictured online. Ordering was super easy. Thank you for such great service!!!!!
NEVER AGAIN
TERRIBLE experience. Ordered online for the Holidays. Slippers didn't fit. Found out to return you must send at your own expense and effort. UPS cost half the amount the slippers cost and Fedex cost more than the cost of the slippers to return! I have MS, am disabled AND we are in COVID red zone, yet customer service tells me I must go to a store (no where near me) to return them or send at my own expense. FINALLY they agree to send a return tag for Fedex to pick up next day. Days later IT IS STILL SITTING HERE. I put in a ridiculous amount of time and effort just to get stuck with slippers that don't fit. I didn't even want to give them one star. NEVER AGAIN.
Damaged item n missing pieces
I purchase a TV stand that was missing pieces and was damaged very pissed off was going to purchase other items but now I'm not.
Boscovs is getting sparse with…
Boscovs is getting sparse with merchandise. On top of that, the store has removed all Mike Lindell’s My Pillow products. I will not be supporting Boscov’s any longer because they boycott merchandise because the company CEO voted for Trump. Boscov is joining the cancel culture crowd and can’t even show civility towards difference of opinion.
Last week I received a strange call…
Last week I received a strange call from a person who first language was not English. Could not make out what she was saying. Two phone calls later. I stressed to make her say the name. I never heard of commenaty Apparently my husband used my phone number to open the account for Christmas and due to usps late mail or no mail the bill for Jan was not received. The payment was due jan 15 however it wasn’t til today did she specify boscov all she kept saying was they have 150 retail stores??i thought it was a spam or fake call.
I hung up call customer service after several attempts a woman answer when I told her I wanted to get the balance and close the account she transferred me to a hardship automated system? Wth! I hung up finally got another who played the I need to speak to him game and then she finally gave us the balance kept repeating to call with other questions. I said I wanted this account closed she again had to have my husband say it.
Never in my life have I seen such an operation. Never again

Amazing and Well Done!
I was hired as a seasonal associate at Boscovs, and my experience working there was fantastic, and magnificent. The employees and managers I worked with were very pleasant, and friendly. Everyone worked as a team to get the job done right the first time. Bocovs became my second family. I will miss working with the employees and managers but I look forward to going back to work when Boscovs hires again.
Return process/wait is the worst!
If I could give less thank one star I would! I have been calling to get a return label for over 60 days and and now am hanging up after being left on hold for over 3 HOURS! The operator/receptionist will do nothing to help you. We will see if they keep this up until you can return it due to their 90 day return policy.
Placed an order on December 10
Placed an order on December 10. Haven't received confirmation and nothing will pull up when I enter my email address and password. Therefore, I attempted to contact customer service. Waited on hold for an hour only to be hung up on. Tried the live chat and was 10th in line. System disconnected. I tried to get back in and it came up with a "Sorry we missed you," response. Therefore, I tried to email. I received an email stating that they will take 7 days to get back to me.
I understand they are busy, but this is absolutely terrible customer service.

TRIED To cancel order right from the beginning and was told it could not be done received the two items one of them is bent and ruined because whoever packed it shoved it so hard they broke the Barbie case that Looks like dollar store garbage and I paid $1599 for plus $10 shipping for something that’s going to go in the garbage and it’s completely useless and I have to buy somewhere else now!!! these people do not return phone calls they use the pandemic as a poor excuse I deal with other companies that do not pull this garbage land any email I get is a generated computer one the only rep I dealt with is not addressing my problem it is not understanding what is going on this is their way of not dealing with returns it’s wrong that I have to pay for their mistake avoid this company at all cost they are horrible to deal with and you will be wasting your time and very valuable money!!!!

Review Update
I wrote a negative review earlier today because dealing with CS and deliveries via Boscov’s has been disappointing at best. However, I finally got through to CS and to FedEx that had lost/ delayed my package and all is well. The physical stores still need work during the pandemic, but I am happy with thevresolution of my problem.This must be my lucky day.
Excellent shopping online experience
I could not be happier. My order was delivered the next day! The product, men's fleece lined hoodies, exceeded my expectations and were unbelievably low priced. I was especially pleased with the packaging, not one oz of plastic! Amazon could you please take note. I plan to search the Boscov website regularly for my future online shopping needs.
Overpriced cheap furniture.
I bought a electric recliner that listed for $1600.00 on sale for $1100.00. They delivered the recliner and I noticed the sewing on the headrest section was way off center. Delivery men saw it also. They ordered another top section and it also was off center. They offered to refund $200.00 if I kept it, so I did. So I paid a total of $900.00 for a very uncomfortable recliner. The recliner is very cheaply made with thin foam rubber and the back section after only 9 months is flatten out to the point of not giving you a comfortable feeling when you sit in it. I almost feel like throwing the pc of junk out for the garbage man. I have a new one on order from La-z-boy. Don't buy their junk believe me.
Poor shipping preparation for the Harvest Pilgram…
I ordered a resin Harvest Pilgram Couple from Boscov's online store. I opened the package and looked in to see the head of the man broken off with very little packaging around the figurine. It had very little chance of surviving the trip with the packaging used.
I thought no problem, I will return it for a new one. Boscov's policy on damaged items is that you pay the return shipping. The cost of the shipping will be more than the the figurine if I return it and I have no guarantee they will do a good job of packaging. I decided to superglue the head back on and call it good. I love the product but not the service.
