The two sets of valves I’ve been using in my PrimaLuna, these have been the Winged C EL34s and the stock KT88s, but the Brimar KT88s have been the biggest surprise. Once fully burned in, they delivered far stronger bass authority and a more confident sense of drive, while still keeping a smooth, liquid midrange that comes close to what I enjoyed from the EL34s. They outperform the stock PrimaLuna KT88s easily, and the overall balance of power and musicality is so satisfying that I no longer feel the need to switch back to EL34s at all.
Some issues with the post and branding on the tubes but Brimar are addressing these issues so score is a reflection of the tubes and ultimately they are worth it.

A good replacement for an old rectifier valve, clean sound (no noise) with bright heaters. I would buy again if needed.

I want to revisit a previous review as I replaced my EL34s in my PrimaLuna EVO300 with KT120s for the past year. But, I just upgraded my streamer to the Bluesound Node Icon which totally changed the source profile. On a lark a reinstalled the Brimar sourced EL34s bought last year. Incredibly, with a more precise and detailed input, they performed even better than the TungSol KT 120s. To rehash my previous comments, the product, service, and communication with Brimar was 1st rate. Hightly recommend.

I have followed this company for about three years and saw the Ediswan Type R valve and decided to buy one.
