Unbelievable rudeness at security.
Unbelievable rudeness at security.
Not to me personally, very busy with familys ready for their easter break.
The extreme short staff is ok, we can accept, but the loud obnoxious staff member decided her new role was to just scream at everyone like a dictator on speed.
I only wish I had my specs on to see her name badge!!
I travel to Bristol regularly to see family, I am born and bred there, but by far the poorest customer service than any other in European airport

DO NOT PARK IN SILVER ZONEJust had my car battery run flat again in Silver Zone. Last time they spiked the ECB with the jump start on a different vechile and cost my a fortune at the garage. I swore to near park here again but my wife took the risk. They drive the cars offsite and do whatever they fancy. No doubt a bit of joy riding around a field and some fuel syphoning. Bristol Airport is the worst rip-off airport in the UK - 8.50 to drop off now. Even the staff say its a terrible company
Shocking parking charges, Rip off airport
Shocking parking charges, rip off Britain in full evidence here , feels like the parking system is heavily weighted to ensure you get a fine. Guess it has shareholders to answer too. The answer for the charges is to encourage people to use public transport ? Look forward to seeing the amount collected donated to charity or local causes
Stand on the line
As ever I was met with barking, disorganised staff when travelling on a short hop. Singled out before stepping forward I suspect. I don’t get this level of attitude at any other airport so why is it synonymous with Bristol?
It’s not the search methods I object to - I doubt anyone does - but this mentality of us being fair game.
Family return from Egypt, made to struggle with an excessive journey of 2,000 steps on return
Our family arrived back from Egypt in the early hours of Sat 14.
We had 2 OAPs and a 4 year in the party.
The 4 yr old was very tired, (as were we all after a 5hr flt). The entrance to the Terminal was via a long staircase, necessitating the child having to be carried.
Thereafter followed a torturous walk of approximately 2,000 steps, including steps, with no assistance or wheelchairs available.
Between airport management and Easyjet you should be ashamed at putting families through the stress and physical difficulty of such a difficult arrival.
I am under no illusion that this situation will be looked into let alone change, therefore we will not be using Bristol again.
Very friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere
Since there are so many bad reviews people are going to assume that this is from am employee or manager, which it isn't. I was in Bristol for a three day conference and I had such a fantastic stay. The people of Bristol were all so friendly and made me feel welcome and at home, including the staff at the airport. I do not understand nor have I read all the bad reviews. To me it felt like coming home to the tiny, friendly village in Sweden, where I grew up and everybody knows each other. The people at check in were chatty, fun and friendly, as was the customs staff. Thank you Bristol and staff att Bristol airport!
Greatly improved but one big omission
The improvements at Bristol Airport are fabulous and making it much easier for a wheelchair user. The route from meet and greet to the terminal is almost fully covered, but it is straightforward.
There was one big issue though. As a wheelchair user l use meet and greet parking. There is absolutely zero signage when you drive into the airport to tell you that meet and greet is inside the multi-story. We drove around the whole airport twice before someone told us where it was.
Once inside the new multi-story the signage was great.

The new security system for liquids and the shoe scan worked well BUT the woman on security literally screamed at me when I touched a bag to make space on the conveyer belt. Incredibly rude.
Absolute rip-off £8.50 to drop off/pick up.
Rip off fast track and car parking fees
Overpriced drop off and car park charges and the rudest security staff. Also rip off fast track. We paid for this and the only difference was we were given a different entrance to the security scanners. We used the same ones as non paying passengers, queuing for the trays then took over 10 minutes to return my husband’s shoes (and he told them he was disabled too). Complaints service pathetic with customer mis-services telling me this is still fast track even though we couldn’t use fast track services mysteriously ‘due to operational reasons’. No refund. Don’t use fast track as it is a con
Waste of £60 million?
I've been using Bristol Airport two to three times a year since the late 1970s and in that time the passenger (customer) experience has experienced a gradual, but continual decline - despite the millions spent over the years.
I haven't use the airport since mid-2024 so I was interested to see the result of the £60m+ spent on the new transport hub.
The result beggars belief. It now takes longer to transit from the Silver zone to the departures hall.
Where buses used to drop off immediately outside the departures & arrivals building they now drop one off approximately a quarter of a mile away. The new covered walkway stops approximately 100 metres from the building with this last part open to the elements - and rain on us it did.
How is it possible to plan and spend this amount of money to do this?
Meanwhile, loading passengers onto the shuttle bus takes longer and the seats were filthy.
We're now planning to try Bournemouth and Exeter to see if the experience is (hopefully) better!
A worker who had no idea what his job was
There was a man there telling us how to use the machine when it was pretty obvious, he was asking to see our passports which wasn’t his job at that point! He held up such a Que that the people in the non fast track went through before us.. he then tried to make a joke of it! Passengers clearly not impressed
This is a terrible airport
This is a terrible airport. They’ve hugely over expanded and the infrastructure can’t handle the amount of people any more. It used to be good value and convenient - no longer. Avoid.

What my kids and I experienced at the Bristol airport is called sour. The arrangement, means and process of passing flight information to travellers is nothing near perfect. As there is big screen at the check in hall, so there should be a big screen mounted at the base of the stairs that link various gates.Such large screen should be programmed to project and show the details of current flight boarding and also boarding time.
However if such seems expensive, staff should be move round to inform travelers around the staircase ,either eating or drinking of current flights boarding.
We were going to Albania to celebrate my daughter’s birthday but came back home sad. My daughter refuses to get out of bed, crying since yesterday.
Bristol Airport can do better as it has done with car parking. Flight information should be more accessible.

One of the worst airport experiences ever.
Zero trolleys.
They say gate closing about 45 minutes before your plane takes off. Avoid at all costs!
Passenger drop off and pick up.
Experienced the new passenger drop off /pick up area yesterday. In fairness it was easy to navigate .What an absolute rip off in terms of cost.£8.50 for 10 mins or under. This makes it more expensive than London airports or Cardiff which is £3. This airport really feels like it is operating beyond it's natural capacity.
Often overcrowded. Very expensive to eat there and long stay parking well overpriced. All in all, it's an airport I try to avoid unless it's absolutely essential.
Good people of the Southwest DON’T DO IT at Bristol!
Good people of the Southwest, do not use this airport, especially if you are looking to have a loved one with special assistance needs to be given any sort of duty of care. After Christmas experiences we vowed to NEVER use this airport again, or not until Trust Pilot indicated an improvement. No such improvement seems evident so for Easter flying we look to Aer Lingus and the other regional airports to hand. Also BEWARE those that run the car park treat you like a cash cow and call you a liar when you debate why you should pay £60 for the additional time taken to get your loved one through the process because there is USELESS Special Assistance. Never known the like of it, and will not risk it again.
The Australian vulture capitalists that now own it are playing the usual game ie what can we get out of it and what can we get away with.
Early morning departures at 7am are a nightmare
Early morning departures at 7am have become extremely stressful at Bristol Airport. Security queues are consistently very long, with extensive zig-zagging before passengers even reach bag screening. Despite the installation of new security technology, only two lanes are often open, creating bottlenecks that feel entirely avoidable.
The £10 fast-track option is frequently busy as well, and it increasingly feels less like a convenience and more like a necessity if you want peace of mind. As someone who travels for work weekly at times, this adds up quickly and shouldn’t be required simply to avoid excessive queues.
On multiple occasions I have come close to missing flights despite travelling with only cabin baggage and arriving in what should be reasonable time. Staff have mentioned understaffing, yet this is an ongoing issue rather than an isolated incident.
The result is an unnecessarily stressful and inefficient experience that leaves the impression that operational resilience during peak early-morning hours is not being prioritised. For frequent travellers, this has become a significant concern.
Don’t use the Fast Track because…
Don’t use the Fast Track because…. Well it’s not!! We paid for 16 people to use the fast track security in August as it was 2 of our daughter birthdays only to find they didn’t have a dedicated line for us and we were integrated ( and our family group separated) into a line with people that hadn’t paid for the service, I complained at the time and staff agreed that the service fell short! I complained on our return only to be dismissed by the lack of customer service which was abysmal, apparently they reviewed the footage and told us how long it took to get through and completely ignored the fact that it took the same amount of time for people who didn’t pay!! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON EXISTENT ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY!!
Simply DANGEROUS
Simply DANGEROUS. They are so preoccupied with gathering pick up and drop off charges that people were dragging their children and luggage down the middle of the road to get off the site so they could be collected without being mugged by the airport charging practices. It took me 40 minutes to get off the site because the roundabout was blocked by cars stopping to collect passengers. Quite simply AVOID..
