Britmove were absolutely brilliant. Chris, Stephan and Ovidiu arrived on time, were super fast, yet careful, and worked with a real sense of pride in their care. Nothing was too much trouble, they even helped us remove a very heavy and rather difficult antique from the wall. We would book Britmove again, no question. Thank you 🙏

The removal team worked incredibly hard, long into the night. Unfortunately, they had clearly not been trained to move delicate items. They did not realise that they should have moved a piano on a wheeled dolly and dropped the heavy, iron framed piano on a wooden floor. This caused damage, not only to the floor but also the piano itself. They also had no idea of how to move an antique grandfather clock which will now need repairs costing upwards of £1200.
Emails to the company are either ignored or I am fobbed off with “you are not being ignored, we are just very busy”.
The lack of communication following the job has done them no favours. I would not use this company again.
Looking forward to some kind of compensation- in which case I will submit an update to this review.

Britmove came in at a lot cheaper than many of our other quotes. Throughout the quotation process they were responsive and helpful. On the day of the move they arrived early. Protective covers were put down on carpets. Fragile items were wrapped. Furniture was taking apart and rebuilt at the other end. The team was quick and efficient. Everything was loaded and unloaded really quickly without anything being broken. Everything was placed where we had asked. The team were really friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend 10/10

Although I haven’t used their removal service yet. Each time I have spoken to them, they have been incredibly polite and professional.

Poor removal outcome
I downsized from a very large 4-bedroom family house to a small bungalow. The quote from Britmove in Northamptonshire, including most of the packing of about 55 boxes, and I did anther 36 smaller ones, sounded very competitive. However, none of the items from the garage were boxed but simply put in a removal van and then deposited at random in the attached shed. According to the company’s conditions I was supposed to report any damage or missing items within 7 days, obviously a quite impossible feat with the size of the move and as pensioner on my own with only occasional help. The damage to the solid teak dining table consisting of a small patch of visible grooves was immediately reported, followed a few days later by scratches on the teak sideboard, which were not accepted any more. It was quite a few weeks later by the time I had unpacked all the boxes and found that 14 out of 24 cut glass, Edinburgh Chrystal wine glasses and tumblers were missing, as well as a crystal cake plate and an electronic photo frame. All had been inside or on top of the sideboard. All crystal items were 55 years old and replacements are difficult to find, mainly on Etsy and e-Bay as antiques and appropriately priced. Replacing everything with comparable and where possible matching items was going to cost about £560, plus the cost of repair to the furniture by experts and transporting the table to their workshop to their at an extra £355. Finding out what might have happened to the missing items was apparently not possible as it seems that all packers and removal people were short term immigrant labour who hardly spoke any English. The offer from Britmove to repair the furniture themselves was not acceptable as they could not promise to supply an expert. A very expensive move indeed and not a company to be recommended.

The man crew were quick and efficient on my 1 to 2 bedroom moves and were finished in less than 4 hours on both experiences. These guys are fantastic and happy to be a regular customer and will definitely use them again in the future without hesitation. These guys were touchy with boxes and furniture and helped with disassembly and assembly to move some larger parts. Thanks again .

It was so easy to move with Britmove this week! (two bedroom house with a lot of awkward furniture) The removalists were great - so careful and polite, and nothing was ever too much trouble.

When you are faced with moving a business or a home there are a lot of components involved. The moving company is a huge part of this process. We chose them to make our move. They were timely, professional, courteous and very careful. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone making a move. They are a wonderful company made up of amazing people who truly care about their customers.

We added the packing service to our move, which was well worth the cost. The team were fantastic and very quick, we were in our new home by 1:30pm. I would definitely recommend.

A big thank you to John and his team at Britmove. Turned into an 13.5 hour house move due to late keys. However John and his team didn’t complain once and worked incredibly hard. Would not hesitate to use Brit move in the future. Top marks!

Very professional and polite people and a very satisfactory price, good job all round.

We had 3 men and 2 vans. They arrived on time and were very efficient. Nothing was damaged and they worked very fast. They moved us out of our 3 bed semi within 2 hours. they then waited 4 hours for us to complete and get our new house keys .All without complaint.
We would recommend Britmove without hesitation.
