Absolutely terrible to deal with. Do not use. I’ve had a remortgage held up for 4 months with buildloan unable to do simple tasks such as calculate salaries. I have absolutely n confidence in their abilities. After 4 months of being forced to use them by our preferred lender I was left with little choice other than to abandon my application. I do not understand why they are still in business.

Jack at Buildloan was excellent at explaining the entire process. He took the time to run through each likely event, and clearly listened and answered all our queries - this certainly made what could be a complicated process, a very easy one.

The Buildstore team has been really helpful as we've navigated the early stages of our self build process.

It's a complex and daunting process to go through and Buildstore not only helped us find the right products, but were super responsive and helped calm us down when things got confusing.

We weren't completely prepared for the number of folks from Buildstore we'd have to communicate with, though. From start to finish we've spoken to more than 10 people at Buildstore, all providing different services and fulfilling different roles. That's been quite a lot to process when we've also been speaking to QSs, architects, planners, contractors etc.

In the later stages of the project, the Offers and Stage Release teams took their time to call us and walk us through their roles (which was hugely appreciated - thanks Tyler and Jack!), but in the initial stages we got very confused by all the different names and teams that took us through the process. We found ourselves thinking that a flow-chart of the process and how each Buildstore team related to it would have saved some confusion.

I have to say it's been really hard work dealing with build store. Every time I ring I'm told something different. Errors booking professional services caused us delays.

Working with buildstore has been first class from start to finish. There was never a issue with any of my changes. Staff were always very helpful to me.
Would recommend the company to anyone looking for self build project.

We have found on every occassion that we contacted relvant people. Staff have responded both quickly and professionaly which sofar as assisted our project.

An exceptionally slow and impersonal service, with little or no attention to data security. Surprisingly fast communication whenever an invoice was due, including an unpleasantly threatening letter about debt collection before we had even received the relevant invoice. I can only recommend if you have no other options.

I am relatively early on in the process with Build Store, however, the initial contact and calls have been very informative and the staff have been very friendly, and seem to be open to helping and aid the process so that is as stress free and pain free as possible. So far so good!

Jack was super helpful explaining the next stages and giving clear concise instructions to guide us through the process. Thank you!

This experience is still happening so I'm going to hold fire a little before making a final review., errors and administrative mistakes, months of delays, failed to transpose my financial information accurately to the lender and as a result delayed my purchase by 3 months. They dont answer the phones, they often forget to call you back, failed to tell me the planning permission requirements until i was already locked in to the process, even the main reception cant get through to anyone, you are a number in a big sausage factory and you are processed by low skilled people ticking boxes, they have lots of hidden fees well over and above an extortionate rate provided by their lenders. They feed you in to their insurance broker who charges thousands in insurances, site insurance, lender indemnity insurance, set up fees, broker fees, its a great money making machine for someone. I wish i had never gone anywhere near them! one shining light in the process was Tracy Murray in their "offers team" part of the sausage factory she was exceptional, she always answered the phone or called me back promptly, she was also extremely knowledgable not only about her part of the process but other parts and reassured me greatly after a shocking experience to date. Thanks to a very useful conversation with Andy in Stage release team I'm going to hold fire before making a final review.

Self build is a bit daunting, but from prelim inquiry to initial drawdown of funds BuildLoan were always on hand to kept me right. Hopefully the build will be just as painless!

We were highly impressed by BuildStore. Our project was a bit on the risky side, they sourced a good mortgage, monitored the build, supported the funds release and generally were always on the end of the phone. In normal times this was an excellent performance but with covid and furloughed staff this was outstanding. Not just one individual either, we dealt with many staff across the company. These guys are a great team. If you are looking for a self build mortgage these are the people to use and you are will be in safe hands. We now live in an amazing home and we appreciate their role in making it happen.

Buildstore Mortgage Advisors have given us an excellent service since the very beginning. In particular Stuart Newsome who went above and beyond in attaining us the best mortgage for our self build. I often found a major gap in the market for self build mortgages from high street banks, but Stuart was able to answer every question and give the best service we could possibly ask for. Builstore have been great with me and my partner during our self build project so far. The whole process can be rather daunting at times and certainly easy to get lost in, but the support team at Buildstore have always been quick to reply and offer their expert guidance with us and it never seems you're bothering them. Can't thank them enough.
