Poor Operation management
My experience in this branch has been extremely negative due to the toxic management of Carlos Velasquez.
• He practices open nepotism: hiring and promoting his relatives regardless of qualifications. A clear example is his brother-in-law Juan, who was placed as a Supervisor despite lacking experience. Everyone in the inspection team knows he is lazy and unqualified, yet he was given raises that pushed his hourly rate above $40, while more experienced inspectors are overlooked.
• Good inspectors constantly leave this branch because of his unfair treatment and unprofessional behavior.
• He brings in people from his personal network, gives them positions immediately, and treats the company as if it’s his own, deciding who gets opportunities and raises.
• Instead of focusing on leadership and professionalism, he spends his time training his relatives to cover their lack of knowledge, while more qualified employees are ignored.
• The overall system in this branch is below standard, and Carlos constantly talks about himself rather than focusing on the company’s success or employees’ growth.
• About a year ago, employees collectively raised concerns about his behavior and made it clear they did not want him in this position. Senior management ignored these complaints, which only made him worse and more arrogant.

Bottom line: This branch suffers from favoritism, nepotism, and unprofessionalism at the management level. As long as Carlos Velasquez remains in charge, it is not a healthy environment for professional inspectors.
