I had to use my time to chase down answers and was given different dates they failed to meet. Finally received my items a full two months later near the end of January with no contact, apology, or acknowledgment of poor service.
I would not purchase from this company again. In hindsight I wish I had just requested a chargeback from my credit card company when the items werenât delivered.

When I used their "chat" box on their website at the beginning of January they assured me to would be mailed on January 7. Today communicating via that "chat" box they say they have still not received the MATERIALS for this ring. And meanwhile they have offered no customer updates or communication. Truly an awful experience.

I had a truly horrific experience with a pair or earrings from Catbird. One of the clasps was defective, and as a result, the earring became stuck in my ear and had to be surgically removed this week. These were NOT cheap earrings and were a birthday gift. What should have been a great present was turned into a seriously painful and traumatic ordeal. A company selling jewelry at this price point should meet the most basic of standards for safety and functionality, but they seriously failed. I STRONGLY caution others against purchasing from Catbird as their quality control appears severely dangerous. Their customer service is a joke, and they dont take any accountability for the products they are selling.
Do NOT trust them with your precious wedding rings
I previously loved catbird, used them multiple times, and prefer to not leave bad reviews. But after my latest experience with their customer service team, I absolutely do not recommend them, ESPECIALLY for wedding rings. If you search through reviews, youâll notice that many others have had similarly bad experiences like mine.
They gave us a 4-6 week timeline for our wedding rings to be returned to us after needed resizing (which we were recommended to do by the sales associate at our initial in-person purchase - so we could have the one-sized-smaller rings for our wedding day).
At the 6 week mark, we followed up online and in person. No response online, and no update in person other than a rudely stated âyou need to follow up onlineâ. We then followed up again online and it took them several follow ups from us to get back to us - only for them to tell us that one of the two ring resizing replacements never went through, and weâd need to wait ANOTHER four weeks. They have yet to give us an update on the status of the other ring (update: weâve learned that this ring order was also not entered correctly into their system and they are giving an extra 6-8 week lead time on that). We are past eight weeks now from our original order.
With a weak apology, they only offered to give us âstore creditâ for the messed up orders if we no longer wanted the rings. No further compensation offered, not even an expedited replacement. We were outright rejected when we requested compensation in the form of store credit for this egregious mistake on their end.
What a terrible way to treat customers, especially those entrusting them with something as important as wedding rings. Beyond disappointed. NEVER shopping here again. Go directly to the ring makers instead is my best advice.
If you need a engagement ring, go elsewhere
Up until this year I have had a good experience at Catbird.
Well the run is over.
I ordered a beautiful engagement ring. Unfortunately it was the wrong size (my fault not theirs).
The problem comes with the new ring size.
I ordered the replacement in June. I was told a ship date of end of July. All good. End of June comes and no shipping info. I reach out about status, I am told they are going to inquire with their shipping department and get back to me. Crickets....no response.
I reach out again. Again I am told they will find out from the shipping dept again.
Same thing happened, I hear nothing back.
At this point my only option is to dispute the charge via my credit company. That process is on-going.
Sweet Nothing Ring - not the same.
Iâm a 10 year catbird customer and a sweet nothing and threadbare loyalist. I have had several sweet nothing rings over the years because the sad truth is it can get lost easily so Iâve had to order one every 2-4 years but I donât mind because I love it that much and it doesnât break the bank. This time, however, there is a noticeable difference in the color, shimmer, and assembly. Previous rings (and my sweet nothing necklace) are yellow gold, extremely glittery, and seamless. My new sweet nothing ring, however, is light gold, a bit dull, and has a noticeable jump ring that cheapens the appearance.
While the customer service rep did say I could return and repurchase and that they would honor my birthday discount, Iâm hesitant because a new vendor means all rings are likely to be this way. I went to the site to compose a kind review in the hopes that they would be open to constructive criticism but am unable to leave one. I see here there is no shortage of disappointed customers and while I know things are difficult in the supply chain right now, this new chain is not worth the price tag of the old one and itâs important for them and customers to know that and make their own purchase decisions.
Iâve been wearing this ring for so long that my hands donât feel like my own without it, but every time I look down to admire it as I have daily for ten years, itâs a let downð.
I hope catbird reduces the price of this ring or finds a supplier that is more equal to the previous one.

Very disappointed in the customer service response Iâve received from catbird today. Let me start out by saying that I am a loyal catbird customer. I have a 5 or 6 catbird rings and a bracelet. This past summer I purchased the Mignon Memory Ring in the size 3.5 from the soho store. I was between sizes and bought the ring in the 3.5 on the advice of the sales person. Before purchasing in the ring I SPECIFICALLY asked the sales associate if there are ever issues with these knuckles rings staying on peopleâs fingers. I asked this question because when I tried the ring on, it just didnât feel secure on my finger. I actually almost didnât buy the ring for this reason. However the catbird sales woman assured me that I had nothing to worry about. She specifically said, âI know it feels like itâll fall off but they never do.â
I went on to buy the ring but in the back of my mind I was always worried about it falling off. 2 weekends ago I was in Amsterdam for my birthday and was wearing the ring. At the end of the night I went to take my rings off and I realized that one of my knuckle ring had fallen off! I so annoyed and upset because my instincts had told me not to buy the ring but I had let the sales woman at catbird convince me otherwise.
I had bought the ring over the summer and still have the receipt for it so I emailed catbird customer service and asked if I could get a credit for the ring. I shop a ton at catbird so I knew I would probably buy something else. Unfortunately the catbird customer service people were only willing to offer a promo code for 20% off a future purchase.
However thatâs not the part of this that is upsetting to me. I went to go leave a review on their website basically saying that while I loved the way the ring looked, I wouldnât recommend purchasing the ring because itâs not stable on the finger and slips off very easily. Also because the ring is so light you donât even notice if it falls off. However, I found that there wasnât an option on the catbird website for me to leave a review!! I emailed customer service back asking them how I could leave a review for this product and they basically told me theyâre NOT currently allowing reviews for this item!
Personally I think the reason catbird is not accepting reviews for this product is because theyâve had other customers that have had the exact same problem that Iâve had with the ring falling off and they donât want a ton of reviews on their website of people complaining about the ring not being stable on their finger.
I find this type behavior extremely sneaky and unethical on the part of catbird!
please beware when purchasing their knuckle rings! If they donât feel secure on your finger then do not buy because it will fall off!
One stud was missing from my order and they made it right
I had been eyeing the Sylvie tourmaline studs for a while because they're so unique, and I like snake designs (but not the squiggle snakes one that are everywhere). I ordered a matching pair of them, but only one was delivered to me â I think there was some confusion about the packing slip because they're sold as singles. Customer service has been very prompt in making things right, so while I docked a star for the boxing-up mistake, I'm happy with the resolution and the attentiveness of the customer service representative.

I waited to order the black and white cookie charm. It was out of stock for a long time. When it finally became available I ordered quickly. I had a hard time waiting to receive it. When it arrived and I opened the box I was shocked!! It was extremely small. It is not represented well at all on the website. I returned it right away very disappointed

I have never been more disappointed in an online storeâs experience. I purchased 2 solid gold pieces for my fiancee from this store as our wedding gift. I was told during purchase by the agent online that my purchase would qualify for exchange or refund should anything go wrong. I spent ages looking online for a brand and chose this one for MY WEDDING GIFT.
Unfortunately the piece I chose did not fit my fiancee and was not her style. I immediately reached out to catbird to initiate the exchange or even credit online. I was told there is no exchanges for international purchases and that their policy is online. Itâs buried in a page at the bottom and again - during my extensive discussion with an EMPLOYEE of your business, I expressed that I lived in Canada and was told I could return. During the excitement, of course I assumed the word of an employee was correct. I spent over $800 and couldnât reach customer service for ages over email until one of their chat agents finally answered me and gave me a âsorry the agent was incorrect but we canât take it back.â Are you serious? So now weâre stuck with your absolutely overpriced marked up online jewelry that was put into a box messily with no proper wrapping and that doesnât fit. And you canât honour what your employee that represents your store said to a customer. I was again, ready to buy more pieces and would have happily just taken a credit.
Absolutely unethical company that just shills their product and is extremely overpriced for what they are after talking to numerous other people after the fact. I will never be purchasing here again and would highly advise anyone from doing so. Thanks for ruining my wedding gift that I saved up for. She has to act like she likes it now because of your own companyâs unethical practices.
When you respond to this and say that your policy is on your site and the same BS about pieces getting lost in customs potentially, please spare me - numerous proper companies around the world do international exchanges and stand by the mistake of an employee that was the direct reason someone purchased your product. Not Catbird though because greed is what matters.
