Very disappointing experience with CBD Credit Card.
My husband uses a CBD credit card. When we checked the total outstanding amount, we wanted to cancel the installment plans and pay everything in full. We were shocked to learn that CBD charges AED 1,000 per installment plan for cancellation.
He has five installment plans, so we are required to pay an extra AED 5,000, in addition to the full outstanding amount. This charge is per transaction, which is extremely high and unreasonable. Usually, banks charge a small percentage (like 5% or 10%) for early settlement, but AED 1,000 per installment is excessive.
This policy is not clearly communicated and feels unfair to customers. Honestly, based on this experience, I do not recommend taking a CBD credit card.

I had too much issues while the bank branches keep changing from places to places..idk why my card get inactive. So I had to spent my working hours to the bank and their way of treating me so pathetic... I guess this bank is going to close. CBD (Commercial Bank of Dubai) is the worst bank ever! Don't get a credit card from this bank. I recently decided to close my credit card and settle all my outstanding balance. I have some installment plans existing which I applied last year or early this year. The cancellation fee when I applied was only 105 or up to 2% of the remaining EPP amount. However they recently revised the rule which I am not aware of, effective Sep 21, 2025 and the new cancellation fee is AED1,050 per EPP. This is too much for early settlement fee. They allow to convert retail purchase to convert into installment for minimum AED500 transaction and when you decide to pay it off early, they will charge you AED1,050. This amount is not reasonable, it's too much. They don't even entertain request to waive or lower down the fees. And in my case, my EPP's were applied prior to the new schedule of fees. They should apply the new fees to new plans only from the effectivity date.

Today (29/11/25) fitness challenge at Kite beach
Today (29/11/25), we came to the Dubai Fitness Challenge event at Kite Beach. We were excited to participate in the CBD activity, but the timings kept changing. First, we were told it would start at 11:00 am, then 11:30 am. Our parking time was ending, so we re-parked and returned at 11:40 am. Again, we were informed that it would now start at 12:00 pm.
I am really disappointed with the way we were treated. Yesterday we played without any issue, but today we were asked to create a new account by following the new page. We did that, yet we still faced this unprofessional behaviour. This is supposed to be a 30×30 challenge, so we should be allowed to come and participate every day, right?
If this is how customers are treated at an event, how can we trust the experience if we hold an account with your bank?

Yesterday 21 November 2025 in sharjah city centre at 9pm one of the credits cards agent Abu Baker cheated me and when I called customer service they are not listening me and registered my complaint, the behaviour of CBD Bank is not good.

Really very bad banking. I have CBD yes credit card .My October pending amount is only 8 AED They added late payment fee 240 AED( including VAT).

Very unreliable & non conventional. Was good before but now i just don't understand how the change from mastercard credit to debit card i couldn't get help on how i can update my number & signature..not in the app..not in the branch..not even calling customer care helped..1month of back & forth & hussling just to be met with responses of sorry for the inconvenience 💔 just closed my account 1 hour ago. Not happy at all 👎🏾

My experience at the bank was the worst ever, hard to image they have incompetent people working at the bank, the branch in question is JUMERIRAH, run by SHISHIR who supposed to be the manager but has so many other side line businesses to earn him extra cash then he forget to focus on his full time job, if working for CBD is his prime job..
On account opening I asked him if the Account if free and he confirmed that it was free by WhatsApp, only to see that 105 had been deducted.
The point I'm trying to make is people like SHISHIR who's a liar,cheater, and corrupt should never be in the financial business advising anyone.

I’ve been using CBD for more than 6 years, but now their service is really disappointing. Imagine being charged 105 AED every month – it’s not reasonable at all. Honestly, this is not a good bank anymore. I need to change my bank as soon as possible. Not recommended.

Terrible bank don’t take any services from them especially credit card i never used mine and now been asking them to cancel since i lost it it’s one story after the other their customer service is the worst
