Worst Bank Ever: A Complete Disaster!
My experience with CBD Bank has been nothing short of frustrating. The service provided is far below acceptable standards. Not only is the staff unhelpful, but the bank has also charged me incorrectly without any valid explanation.
To make matters worse, there is a complete lack of transparency. The bank fails to inform customers about changes in tariffs or policies, leaving us blindsided and struggling to understand the unexpected charges.
This level of mismanagement and poor communication is unacceptable for a financial institution. I would not recommend CBD Bank to anyone looking for reliable and professional banking services.
Poor Banking Services by CBD
I am extremely disappointed with the poor customer service provided by Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD). A week ago, I lost my wallet, which contained my original Emirates ID. Since then, I have been working on replacing all my essential documents and cards. When I requested a replacement for my CBD credit card, the bank refused to deliver it without presenting my original Emirates ID.
Despite my request for a special approval to verify my identity using my original passport—something that other banks were able to accommodate without any issue—CBD showed no willingness to provide any alternative or solution to meet my request. This rigid policy and lack of flexibility reflect poor customer service and disregard for customer convenience.
Losing a wallet is already a stressful experience, and instead of assisting their customers in difficult situations, CBD’s unhelpful approach only adds to the frustration. It’s disappointing that such a reputed bank has no contingency plans or exceptions for genuine cases like mine.
I hope CBD will review its customer service policies to offer better support in the future. I would not recommend CBD to anyone looking for a bank that values customer experience.

If i can rate it lower i will. I cancelled my credit card and did not get any notification mail of the cancellation. I requested for a letter and they told me it will take 45 days for a cancellation letter and i should go to the branch. I go to the branch and asked for it and they told me they cant give a cancellation notification only phone support can send the email. I called them many times and they advised me to send email to they CS email address. I sent the mail, sent follow up mails, ask phone assistance to follow up and no reply. I asked for just 1 mail from cbd that the cancellation request was processed. No official letter needed. And they said they cant do it. It has to be from CS email. Which by the way dont give confirmation that they received your request and dont reply or anything. Worst customer service. Not customer oriented. Not even giving proper information. I would suggest you go to other banks that give better support and assistance to their customers. This one is the worst. I would not be banking with them again in a million years. Not shocked to see very low review score with their attitude to customers.

Extremely Frustrated with CBD Bank's Service – Considering Canceling My Credit Card
I am beyond frustrated with the ongoing issues I've been facing with CBD Bank. A few days ago, I visited the branch to update the mobile number linked to one of my supplementary cards. Everything seemed fine at the time, but I later discovered that the bank’s technical and admin team made a critical error: they not only failed to update the mobile number correctly but also changed all the card numbers for both my main card and supplementary cards without any prior notice or explanation.
This mistake has caused me significant inconvenience. I now have to go back to the branch, fill out yet another form, and spend hours in traffic just to fix a problem that was completely the bank’s fault.
This whole experience has made me seriously reconsider my relationship with CBD Bank. As a customer, I expect better service, transparency, and efficiency. The errors on their part have disrupted my work, caused me unnecessary stress, and now I’m left questioning whether I should cancel my credit card entirely....
CBD Bank needs to take responsibility and offer a real solution without wasting any more of my time. If this issue isn’t resolved quickly, I will not hesitate to close my account.

I wont even give half a star to CBD as a bank it has failed miserably . I held their card for almost 3 years and i have never missed any payments as per statement so one month they didn't send me statement only and then suddenly next month I receive calls and mails from collection agency for payment . They overcharge me for missing payment and didn't accept mistake even I shared my Gmail screenshots but waste of time . When I told them for closure they send me new statement which had closure charges . WORST BANK EVER .

In settlement procedure very delay,also I paid settlement amount, after a week they call me & ask for more money again and again,I paid twice still I didn't get my no liability certificate,it's 9 days complete now

The worst staff,I think the bank hires people without interviewing them ,I have just received a call and I asked if they can call me after a second as I'm still working ,he said we won't call you and hung up on my face for no reason ,he doesn't even want to listen and what's funny is that there was argument ,it was just him talking to himself because I didn't hear anything ,his pronunciation of the words is very difficult to understand and I'm unable to follow ,speaking very fast to just close a complain case,not even trying to do his job.

I took a cash installment plan and without any communication nor clarifications they cancel my CC without any explanation and suddenly im required to pay in full the caah installment plan although i chose a 1 year plan.
