Millers walk sibsey- lovely team!!

Such a lovely helpful marketing team who help your through the whole process with your needs in mind!. We had an absolutely lovely experience buying our first home that felt easy and none stressful with the help of Nikki and Jo. Can’t thank this team enough and encourage anyone thinking of going into the marketing suite to go as the team are more than wonderful!.

When we first looked at chestnut homes

When we first looked at chestnut homes, Kamila was the first face we met and she made us feel so welcome, was so helpful and made us comfortable to ask silly questions! She was always a phone call or email away whenever we needed any help!
The process was overall easier than we thought it would be.
The only issues we have had was unclear boundary lines and garden fence issues.
The house itself is lovely and is everything we asked for!

Brilliant company with helpful and friendly sales staff. I would recommend anyone looking for a new build to get in touch with them!

Without a doubt they genuinely care about your needs and the home that they are building for you

Would highly recommend this developer

Would highly recommend this developer.
Starting out with Jayne in the marketing suite. Very kind, friendly and helpful throughout. Nothing was too much trouble. Still there now for a chat and advice if needed. Jayne was genuinely so excited for me to be getting on the property ladder.
All the tradesman working on site still are very helpful, polite and considerate too!
I have had a few snags which is to be expected in a new build but they have been addressed appropriately.
Would recommend to anyone looking for a new home 100%

Cracking Customer Service from the start!

We went to have a look around Kings Manor phase 4, with no real intent to purchase after we'd heard good reports about the estate and Chestnut Homes from friends in the village....6 weeks later we'd put a reservation down on a property that was to be our first home together.

Jayne and Lindsey where both extremely helpful, professional and always smiling & friendly on each and every visit we made. This made the whole experience a lot less stressful for us. We NEVER felt rushed or pressured into making a purchase at anytime Once we'd reserved our plot we had regular updates via phone and email on progress of our home and expected completion date. Due to a holiday we'd already booked we had to juggle around the completion date, Sales Manager Helene was understanding and supportive and was able to provide a mutual agreeable date with no added stress or pressure from the start.

Moving day came and we collected the keys from Jayne (with a big smile as always) we knew there might be issues when we snagged as we'd be naive to think there wouldn't, however the issue we raised (which was a simple E-mail to custom care) were resolved to our standards within the few months of moving in (this was mostly due to our working pattering and only a small delay on Chestnut)

It's great to see this development phase nearly completed and our potential new neighbours being shown around by Jayne, who's always on hand to answer questions or just to chat with on her walk around.

We'd highly recommend Chestnut Homes, Kings Manor in Coningsby.

Chestnut homes horrific experience.

Having bought 2 newbuild homes previously with different builders, i thought this would be a good experience again. This could not be further from the truth as i had a horrific experience with chestnut homes and their personnel. Rude sales/admin staff, factually incorrect information and consistent changes prior to moving in date. Recieved abusive phone calls from staff when they slipped the moving in date by several months. Moved into a dirty house with many faults and a flooded garden. None of them were resolved. Tried to complain but all complaints are intercepted by the admin staff and do not get to the management. Customer Service were obstructive and unhelpful, and refused to fix faults within the 2 year period. Forced into expensive deals as a monopoly provider with Internet and local maintenance which is owned by chestnut homes, an absolute scam. Overall a horrendous and stressful experience. I would not recommend chestnut homes to anyone.

Nikki & Kamila what service excellence looks like !

Nikki and Kamila at Chestnut homes just take customer service to a whole new level of excellence !
From the moment we reserved our plot - they were tenacious , fast paced and took all the graft out of the chain ( and boy what a hideous chain it was !!! )
Not helped by having an estate agent that genuinely had 0 customer care . But Nikki and Kamila stuck with us , pushed everyone , and were there with kindness and compassion throughout our journey . I’ve bought new homes over the years and no 2 people have ever shown the level of service these 2 ladies show - If you’re looking at a new build , go and see these 2 ladies at the Quadrant in Boston , even if you don’t buy , you’ll feel welcomed , and number 1 and will leave feeling like you’ve just met 2 amazing humans - thank you chestnut homes for sending us Kamila and Nikki and thank you for our new forever home

Would recommend

From start to finish I cannot fault Chestnut Homes.

Jayne at King's Manor was fabulous throughout out entire experience and would answer all our questions without delay and we never felt we were being fobbed off or not listened to.

On completion we couldn't be happier. There was the odd snag (mostly that our en suite shower was missing the drain cover) which was sorted within the hour of me emailing the customer care team.

I'm happy with the quality of the build especially as people I know who have gone with other housing developers have had some pretty serious issues with their new builds.

100% would recommend!

We purchased a new 4 bed detached house


We purchased a new 4 bed detached house in September 2022. We were really excited & looking forward to our new home. It has turned into a nightmare. We really wish we could turn back the clock & not have moved.
When we moved in they were still painting it. We thought Ok not a big issue.
Over the next few days we noticed numerous faults, defects & damage. We spoke with customer services who apologised & promised all the issues would be resolved asap. That is as good as it got with customer services. The site manager stated that the house should never have been signed off. The faults ranged from kitchen & utility cupboards damaged, integral double oven & microwave not fitted to the wall, it started to come away, leaking toilet, leaking shower, front door not shutting, windows not fitted correctly, in fact there are over 70 faults with the windows. I am not going to mention the patio, garden & garage. Why not, the patio is so uneven & the slabs loose that it is dangerous to walk on. The grassed area of the garden is just as dangerous. The children cannot play on it as they are constantly turning their ankles. It is now exactly 4 months since we moved in. Some faults have been rectified, cupboards, cooker. The windows still have not been fixed. My daughter cannot sleep in her room due to the draft, the patio, garden, shower leaks, front door still have not been fixed.

Being a First Homes first time buyer

Being a First Homes first time buyer. Chestnut Homes couldn’t have made the experience any better if they tried! From the very beginning, the professionalism of the whole team was second to non!

A special mention to Jayne & Lyndsey who kept me informed on my property’s progress, always happy to help with any questions or advice.

Purchasing a property from Chestnut Homes was a stress free process with clear communication and experience customer service.

Theft

Deceitful and sly sales
I was told my £500 reservation deposit was refundable against the completion. At no point did they advise if the competition didn’t happen before a certain date they would remarket the property I have paid £500 to reserve.
So currently you still have £500 of my money even though you have made a decision to cancel my reservation.
I have advised and left a message that if I don’t receive a refund I will take this to tradings standards/ FCA / ombudsman. It’s disgraceful. The sales tact is also completely underhand.

If you decide to buy from this company


If you decide to buy from this company be very careful there build quality is shocking and there aftercare is non existent. I personally Brought a 4 bed house in 2019 and on completion I found nearly 40 issues that where unsatisfactory as I work in the trade and know what can and should be achieved. To this day most issues including new ones where never rectified and they to this day just Diminish responsibility I’m personally putting claim with NHBC against them. If you wanting a new house do look elsewhere before spending hard earned money with chestnut homes.

Superb customer service at The Quadrant


Superb customer service at The Quadrant sales office. Kamila provided professional service from the day when we arrived to view property to very last day of completion. Always helpful and very responsive when needed. Hopefully Chestnut homes will be at least half as responsive in fixing snags if we will find any. :)

What an “Alford” (Awful) experience!

What an “Alford” (Awful) experience! Had I taken the time to read the genuinely critical reviews on here, I would have steered clear of this company and their practices:

Poor customer service from them lead to them taking a “Reservation deposit” on a property that they told me was secure for me while I completed the “easy mover” option for the purchase. But as with all these badly managed companies the “customer “ comes last!!!

Details were taken, forms sent to me appointments booked, mortgage paperwork completed and then a silly salesperson rings me to say “Hiya, I have some bad news, we have taken a deposit on the plot you wanted” ~ Are these people for real??

Get your company ethics in place, for the sake of your own reputation. Wasting peoples time is pointless. Why have options if your not going to follow them. Poor management definitely poor sales process and after reading some of the comments on here poor build quality!!
