I have not had any problems with receiving items I ordered from The Children's Place and the clothing I have received or gifted has been satisfactory. My only complaint with this company is that their customer service department is outsourced to a different country and there is a HUGE language barrier, making it almost impossible to get a simple question answered. I just spoke with a representative today and I had to ask her several times to repeat herself because I did not understand what she was saying and, to be honest, I don't believe she understood what I was asking. It took approximately five minutes for her to not give me an answer to my question and that is extremely frustrating. I placed an order to send to another family member and (my mistake) I did not change the billing address to my address for my credit card information. All I wanted to know was if the order would go through as it was or if I needed to cancel the order and reorder due to the wrong billing address. She rambled on and stretched out sentences but never answered my question. Eventually I had to talk over her because she just wouldn't stop with her pointless talking, thank her for her time, tell her I was calling my credit card company for an answer and hung up. I have made the same mistake ordering from Carter's, called their customer service line, spoke with a US based representative and was actually helped by that Carter representative. Carter's customer service is exceptional!!!!! Today's conversation was pointless and a waste of time. This company needs to do better if they want to retain customers. They should operate US call centers, provide better training for their overseas representatives or reopen more stores. Something! What they are doing now obviously does not work.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I had an order that was marked as delivered but I never received. I contacted FedEx and Afterpay, and both directed me back to The Childrenâs Place for resolution, yet Childrenâs Place has been unwilling to help. I even requested a replacement instead of a refund to make things easier, but that was also refused. Iâve now been told to dispute this with my bank, while Afterpay insists the merchant must handle it, leaving me stuck with no solution and out hundreds of dollars.
As a single mom, this situation has caused both financial strain and unnecessary stress. The lack of support and accountability from their customer service has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I requested for this issue to be resolved promptly, either with a replacement order or a full refund but nothing has been done to help me.

I never got a package that was marked delivered in December 2025. I did all thr right things like filing a missing package inquiry with usps, called childrens place and they said they couldn't help me since the package was marked delivered. I even went ahead and called the credit card company they belong too and after veing transfered several times I got someone on the phone that reluctantly took my information and said it will take over 3 months for them to review the dispute and if I really wanted to take the time to enter that. I did amd finally got an answer on March 25th saying that they couldn't help me because the package was marked delivered. This is the first time I have ever dealt with anything like this especially after being a customer for so many years.i will definitely not be ordering anything from them online or using their credit card.

Childrens place is just the worst, dishonest, money scammers, that I feel the need to post again, about my horrid experiences, not only did they leave an expensive order, out in the rain, and damped and stunk out, my entire clothing order, and REFUSED a Refund, my kids Easter dresses were atrocious, and again couldn't get a refund, but the joke is, they use companies like Amazon and Walmart, that sell old stock dresses, snow boots etc yes from childrens place!, so your spending top dollar, shopping from their website, that now requires like 40 minimum, to get free shipping, when you could be buying it for a whole lot Less.

Would not change incorrect address prior to shipment
We recently moved and I forgot to change the address on the account and didn't see the delivery address until I placed my order. I immediately sent a message asking them to change the address. They responded with "we do not have the system capabilities to modify or cancel an order after it is placed. As soon as the order is confirmed, we begin the fulfillment process, and we are unable to make any changes. As a reminder, items can be returned or exchanged in any of our retail stores within 45 days from the date of purchase. Please visit our website for further details regarding the return policy. Kindly reach out to the carrier once the shipping email is received and have them forward it to the address that you mentioned. The order hadn't even been filled yet. I did contact USPS to try to reroute the package and they said it did not qualify so it got delivered to the old address. I have shopped here for 7 years buying a lot of clothes for my daughter.

This place is trash. I donât recommend anyone going there. Their return policy is not favorable to the customer at all. I gave my niece something for Christmas and it was too big and tried to return it, and they would not return it even though I purchased it with my credit card had the date the time and everything and they still would not return it because I didnât have a physical receipt who really keeps 20 or 30 receipts for gifts they bought for Christmas no one and their customer service is terrible. The sales associate was rude and I donât recommend anyone going to childrenâs place in Leeds, Alabama.

I had ordered 3 things as a birthday present and all 3 were too small. When I called the rep was not helpful at all. emailed them all I wanted was just to send this order back and reorder a size up. They said they didn't take returns on clearance items. That's fine but mark all the items non returnable and leave some that doesn't. When another rep emailed back she said I couldn't return the 2 items on clearance and the other item I could return but with a 6.99 shipping free. That's almost half of what I paid for the item. Poor customer service!

I ordered 6 jeans for my son
I ordered 6 jeans for my son. They arrived and looked nice, but after one or two washes multiple of them developed holes on them. Mind you, my son has some other jeans from walmart (Wondernation) that he's had for 2 years and they are still in great condition. He had not done anything differently with the jeans that we got from the children's place than the jeans he had from walmart. I also had washed the jeans all together, so they were washed the very same way. So there was no difference in how they were worn or how they were washed. The only difference was they quality. When I called children's place with my concern of their quality and desire for refund - they gave me a claim number and want me to return the item to determine if it is a quality issue on their end or damage on my part in which they would discard the items without giving me a refund. I have no problem returning the items but if their judgment is poor and they decide it was an issue on my end and not theirs, I will lose the defected items and my money. This is terrible customer service. If I could give a zero I would. This is bad quality and poor service. I will not be buying ANYTHING from childrens place again. Even walmart has better quality than them when it comes to their childrens jeans.
Policy change to âNO MORE DEBIT!â
Had I known when they offered me their credit card and I would save an extra 30% today that I could not make my credit card payment over the phone, online, or with a store by phone, I NEVER WOULD OF GOT IT! They expect me to hand them my banks routing number and account information for payment which will never happen. So now I have to go get a money order somewhere and then mail it to them.
Evidently clerk over the phone at one of their stores told me customer were complaining for them charging for using your debit card to make a payment so they thoughtâŠâWELL THEN NO MORE DEBIT CARD PAYMENTS!â

Horrible return policy
Purchased a boys shirt online for $28. It was too small but the return process is cumbersome and you have to pay for return shipping. By the time I stand in line at the post office and pay $10 to return the shirt it's not worth it. I will never shop here again!
