I wasn’t sure about Chime but signed up anyway. It’s been a great experience. I had unauthorized charges on my anccount and they were dealt with IMMEDIATELY. I was EXTREMELY impressed.

ive been a customer for over 2 years and they give you notifications on everything you do which is great. However on April 12th I deposited a check from casino winnings that I had that night. I was told the money would be available after a 5 day hold and would be in my account April 17th. On April 17th I had no deposited funds. I went through the app to the chat and was told by AI the check was not accepted and do not submit the check again. That was the first I had heard that it was not accepted and I never received a notification. I called to speak to customer service. I was told they are unable per their policy to tell me why my check was not deposited. So you cant tell a current customer why their check was rejected? WTH? I told the person I was speaking to I never received any notifications and she said CHIME IS A WORK IN PROGRESS. WTH? On top of that I could barely here the person because the call center was so loud. I asked to speak to a supervisor so she transferred me. The supervisor said she could not hear me and I told her I could not hear her either because there is a man in her call center talking so loud I can hear his conversation about another person he is talking to and their account. THIS IS NOT OK. She said let me fix my microphone and hung up on me. YOU JUST LOST A CUSTOMER CHIME!

$100 was stolen from my account, I made Chime aware that a certain company had been attempting to take money from two different bank cards, including my chime card. I have an open dispute with this particular company and I made Chime aware that also. However, they allowed them to steal $100 from my account and for the past three days I have been attempting to speak with a rep, have an open dispute with this particular company and Chime knew that also. However, they allowed them to steal $100 from my account and for the past three days I have been attempting to speak with a Chime representative, all of a sudden they do not speak English, they were very disrespectful. All of a sudden, I have not been able to speak with anyone concerning this matter I have not been able to utilize my account, however after allowing this particular company to steal my money, I have not been able to speak with one representative that speaks English, I hear laughing in the background, I’m put on hold for five and ten minutes and it’s just been a all-around horrible experience as of recently. And to this day, they still have not allowed me to reopen the dispute.

Chime has been an overall disappointment for me. They advertise a wide range of perks for banking with them, but increasingly, fewer and fewer qualifying customers seem to receive those benefits.
They draw you in with promises of payroll advances, easy access to loans, and overdraft protection. All you have to do, they say, is have your paycheck deposited. That sounds simple enough. In reality, it hasn’t worked that way.
In my case, I had my paychecks deposited consistently for three months and initially received their full set of benefits at the highest levels. Then, without warning, everything changed. Same paycheck. Same employer. Suddenly, no benefits.
Trying to get answers has been frustrating. There is no direct email support. Instead, you are routed through a chatbot before eventually receiving a call from a human representative. It creates the impression that written records are being avoided.
When I finally received an explanation, I was told that the bank used by my employer had flagged the company for some form of fraud. Concerned, I contacted that bank directly. They told me no such information had ever been shared with Chime, nor was there any issue of that nature.
My employer is a young startup, about six months old, with a small customer base and no history of fraudulent activity. The explanation simply does not hold up.
From my experience, it appears that Chime is making promises in its marketing that it is not consistently able or willing to fulfill. And if that is the case, it raises a serious question: should you trust them with your money?
It may be wise to consider other banking options before running into the same issues.
FOLLOW UP BASED ON RESPONSE: This is what Chime says nearly every time. Calling their support desk is a waste of time. They not only do not do anything, they make very little effort to even understand why you are calling. The fact that they do not offer an email utility for customers issues issues says it all - they don't care. This bank is a scam.

Come is decent. I do wish that I could control the amount available to me in the mypay. I’d like to be able to decrease the limit on my own. If that were to happen there should also be a waiting period in between changing the limit.

Very easy to use. They have many saving options. Their interest is higher then most brick and mortar banks
I have been a customer of Chime sine January 2019 and have been mostly satisfied with the service. I especially have found the app very easy to use. Today, I received a notice that my checking account would be closed in one month. No explanation given. I called customer service and still was not given a reason, just that I should transfer my money.

It still leaves me concerned this will happen again at a much higher rate and I will just be screwed bc Chime allows theft. They are very lucky I can’t afford a lawyer bc having physical proof I was in a completely different state clocked into my job would win me the case easily. Everything else is great from the app use to the perks of credit building , getting paid early and other spotme and cash back incentives. It has helped me raise my credit significantly but there needs to be more effort to get peoples money back to them when it is stolen.

I love chime it gives me alot of financial opinions an builds my credit its helped me reach goals with realistic expectations anyone trying to rebuild your credit from a not so good past this is a great option
I am satisfied with Chime banking...I get paid 3dsys early...I dont have overdraft fees...I can borrow of o need too...im satisfied 9/10..
Chime is the worst online banking service that I have ever used since my Simple bank closed. My main complaint is their customer service. Which has been out sourced to another country where you can’t get any help about information on your account if there’s any problems or need additional information. They consistently just read you a script trying to try to put customers at ease without actually answering the question and try to get you off the phone. Not like an actual banking center here in the US that actually cares and listens for a resolution. And they like to down grade accounts without notice about banking services that were already established if they think there’s no direct deposit on the account. I been with Chime for years and had direct deposit set up. But because I’m on medical leave, they down graded my features on my account and sent no notice or even reached out for additional details. They also mislead their services and products to customers. You have to read the fine print for services. There’s also another concern I have about Chime but have no actual proof yet to accuse them of yet but have suspicions. I’m not satisfied! Online banking services could learn a few things from Simple Bank when they were around! Trust me when I say, real banks are so much better! And I use to work for one.

Chime has several entities which allows any person the opportunities to save, invest and capitalize from banking with them. The three most phenomenal entities Chime offers is Spotme, My pay and free over-spending withdrawal. Im hooked and committed to staying right here with Chime.
After setting my direct deposit up, my account was hacked and nearly 100 was stolen after opening a dispute multiple times, your company told me pretty much they wouldn't give me my money back. I had no transaction history with that company, I sent screenshots of everything, where I was clocked in at, and still to no avail.

Getting my paycheck before the 1st WAS great, but now I get it around the 30th, so I'm unsure of these "benefits" they speak of. I have never overdrafted or used SpotMe, so this is not something I need. I would like to get my paycheck early and to use my myPay in the same way I have for a year. Uncertain why this change occurred. Poor communication and feeling frustrated and disappointed.

Chime is a co that allows scam artists to take people's money, allows scam transactions and shields scammers! I bought a puppy online using chime as the financial institution and they refuse to refund my money from a scammer. If they really were a trusted and reliable online commerce Co this wouldn't happen. I will NEVER use them again!

Chime has been a great online banking system for me the support is great and always helpful,whatever amount of money I have in account I feel safe secure.
I have been a chime member for over 6 years. I can tell you what they did for me. They save me money every month with the spot me feature. They all so helped build my credit to the point that I was able to purchase a brand new car. They all so saved me a bunch of money by purchasing vehicle insurance through them. I never knew a bank could offer so many features.
