I would not rate Clever highly due to repeated experiences that reflect a lack of support and consideration for their students. Throughout my tenancy, I have encountered multiple unresolved issues within my apartment, including a broken toilet, non-functioning lights from the first day, mould, and other maintenance concerns that were not addressed in a timely manner.

Additionally, there have been several instances where significant changes were made with very little notice, which created unnecessary stress and inconvenience. When attempting to raise these concerns, communication with Clever has often felt dismissive, with responses frequently consisting of explanations rather than effective solutions.

Another ongoing issue is the difficulty in reaching relevant departments such as accounts and maintenance, there rarely seems to be anyone available when assistance is needed, which only adds to the frustration.

Overall, my experience has been disappointing, and I would not recommend Clever as a letting agency. If you are considering off campus accommodation, I strongly encourage you to research thoroughly, as I am sharing this to help others avoid a similarly frustrating experience.

Great place to go, they dominate Plymouth! And Sofia that works there is a dream, so very helpful! :)

I had a lot of difficulties on my end from getting a guarantor due to not having many relatives live in the UK. Clever was really patient with me and guided me to Housing Hands. I finally have my house and I am really happy. None of this would have been possible without the help from Lilimai, she was really patient with me and was really helpful when I came to any crossroads. I would very much recommend going here if you have had any troubles getting houses because they gave me more time than I’ve ever had anywhere else.

This was a new and somewhat daunting experience for me, applying to act as guarantor for my granddaughter. Initially I had some concerns about the contract but these were resolved by Sofia and I set about completing all the necessary reference material on line. This was straightforward and the following day I had a call from Sofia to tell me they had everything they needed. Many thanks to Clever and especially Sofia for her help and reassurance.
