Well equipped cottage, isolated and peaceful. But disappointing - we couldn't find any information regarding cooker, microwave etc. Eventually we found an unmarked box file hidden in a cupboard in the kitchen, it should be on show with the tourist information. The towel rail wasn't working. An electrician had to be called. The fuse had blown plus the power breaker had tripped. There was no information as how it worked or how the underfloor heating worked, just a lot of switches and monitors that were not labelled. Usually there is a visitors book or a welcome book. Luckily we have a BT hub so we knew were to find the internet password. Also no instructions about recycling. When we go on holiday we like to relax, not to play hunt the instructions or how does this work!!! This could be a 5/5 cottage with a bit more thought.

A comfortable and well=equipped cottage in a very peaceful setting. But marred by the fact that the standard of cleanliness was well below standard. I had to purchase floor cleaning materials and equipment because the floors in the bathroom, ensuite toilet and kitchen smelt and looked dirty. Clearly the items on the floor in both bathrooms had been wiped around in a slapdash manner and had not been picked and properly cleaned. I had to do all these floors myself because of the strong smell of stale urine. The drawers of the freezer were too dirty to use. The carpet in the sitting room could do with a thorough shampoo and the inglenook fireplace clearly hasn't been cleaned for a long time. Shame because it was a nice cottage but I couldn't recommend or return.

The location was great, and the milk coffee and welsh cakes were very welcome. Unfortunately there were lots of problems with the cottage, damp, a radiator hanging off the wall, the barbecue hut we were unable to use and some cleaning issues. You office did send a maintenance person to sort out some of the issues, but we were looking forward to using the barbecue which had a note on it saying not to use because of storm damage, the maintenance man did tape up the broken window but because we were told we couldn't use it by Costal Cottage Office and you recommended that we buy disposable barbeques to use the food we brought to use in the barbecue hut. The outside hut was a selling point on the website for us. There was also a lot of damp in the property and we had to keep the heating on in the bedrooms to try and dry out the rooms to be able to sleep. We book with Costal Cottages about twice a year and usually have very good experiences with your cottages. Costal Cottages rep told us that we would be contacted about the issues when we returned home - we are looking forward to hearing from you on this.

We had a wonderful stay around Easter time 2025. The location is very rural and away from any hussle and bustle of everyday life which was just what we were after. We could walk the dog from the cottage and many locations were a short drive away. The property is a very quaint cottage but boasts 3 bedrooms. The price for the week was very good value. A few pointers for feedback. There was a bottle of wine to welcome us which was lovely but there were no instructions on how the radiators etc worked. It took us a while to figure it out but we never discovered the heating in the kitchen. Most of the room required finding several switches. The wood burner was incredible and worked fantastically. However there were no matches so on the first day we struggled a bit to get it started. The logs in the log shed were presumably free to use but they were massive and there was no means to chop them to get them to fit. We hadn’t realised that there would be no towels at the venue either. No cheese grater which is a travesty for us cheese lovers lol. All in all we loved it and would thoroughly recommend it especially for the price.

We’ve stayed with coastal cottages for many years, this year was disappointing! Beautiful location but, cleanliness and upkeep of the cottage let it down badly.

Could be such a lovely cottage. Disappointed with standard of cleanliness throughout. Peaceful location but nothing around for miles.
