Atrocious customer service
Atrocious customer service. Trying to get in touch with customer service regarding a return only results in an automated response restating the return policy. There is no explanation or response to the questions I ask or information I provide.
The single email I was able to get a live person to respond to is a one sentence claim that I had already received a returns exception before. Upon research into the order number they provided, I discovered the "exception" was given due to a failed returns label Cole Haan's own system had made.
Finally, the entire reason for the return is their return policy is entirely different from everyone else's in 2025. It begins at the order date, a particularly problematic issue when their shipping was severely delayed and took 2 weeks to arrive (their own policy promises 3-5 business days). Seems like a deeply misleading and unfair business practice to me.

They have the worst customer service ever. When we called to inquire about an exchange, we asked if they would honor the original price if we asked for the same shoe in a different color. They said yes. Then they charge me again for shoes before issuing a refund. They said because they didnât write a note, they wouldnât honor the price. When the shoe is the same, the price is the same as well. They give them âdifferentâ style numbers so they donât have to honor anything. The customer service is trash and so is the brand.

I have had no quality problems but I have several pairs of Cole Haan and other brands and rotate them.
They had a 10% off sale. When the numbers work out, they gave me an $11 sale discount, which reduced the order to 98.95...so I did not qualify for free shipping because of 5 cents. They refused to make an adjustment...and quite arrogantly, I might add.
These companies think we are desperate to do business with them. But, their rating here shows the true story.

Purchased a 2 pr of shoes from cole haan directly. These are church shoes/sneakers only. The pair of topspin British tan in color have maybe 18 hrs/ 6 trips to church. They are separating at the sole leather interface. Lot of $$ for sub standard workmanship/materials/glue whatever. I have a pr of original grand wingtipshoes (church only) worn 1x(3hrs) not sure about them. I cannot reccomended their products. Way to much money for inferior products. Beware
Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service. I placed an order but never received a confirmation email. I contacted customer service and they said they couldnât resend the email. I also asked them to link this new order to my online account and was told that they couldnât. Then I asked if they could delete my online account and was told that they couldnât do that either. Why have customer support that canât do anything? I donât even know the status of my order since I donât have an order number or tracking information, but they surely didnât waste any time pulling the money from my account. Worst customer service Iâve ever received, next to Walmart. Do better Cole Haan!
Poor logistics and inability to help customers
So I ordered a Christmas present on Black Friday. Cole Hahn canceled the order 4 days later and didnât tell me. There was no reason for the cancelation. I did not receive a refund until 11 days later and escalations. Then, foolish me, ordered the jacket on the 12/12 and it never arrived. I just got an email saying shipping label created, but the carrier never received it. Customer Service canât cancel late orders, nor can they call the warehouse. They have to ask Corporate.
Itâs obvious Cole Hahn doesnât care about logistics or providing quality customer service. Youâre take a huge gamble shopping here.
Terrible customer service
This review is on Cole Haan's customer service. My kids ordered a pair of casual shoes their dad wanted for Christmas. The shoes came and the shipping box was wrapped up and presented at our family Christmas party. When he opened them, it was a completely different shoe, 7 sizes too big. That was very sad and embarrassing for our kids. It was 10 days before Christmas, so we hoped to rush him the correct pair. The least Cole Haan could do is give us a discount for our trouble, or put a rush on the correct shoes. They did neither. They did nothing to make right or apologize for the embarrassing mistake. We returned the shoes and re-ordered the right ones, but they won't get here for Christmas. Hopefully they send the right ones this time. Shame on Cole Haan, they really messed this one up. Customer service is EVERYTHING when running a company. We are disappointed/unhappy customers.

This company has no clue how to run a e-commerce business. It has been 15 days from order date and still have not received shoes. Time to find a better logistics partner. Your competitors are way better!

I contacted the company and was told they couldnât change the address or cancel the order once it had been ordered even though it had not shipped. They directed me to UPS to reroute the package and when I tried to do that due to the way they choose to ship items you are not allowed to make changes to address. All the to say: I EILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN or any company they are associated with. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS AND THEY MAKE NO ATTEMPTS TO MAKE THEOR WRONGS RIGHT. Awful company unfortunately. I have been buying these shoes for years. I convinced my boyfriend to buy a pair. After the first time wearing them, he got really bad blisters on 1 foot. After taking a closer look the shoe was obviously defective. We reached out to the company, sent pictures, explained the problem and asked for a refund or exchange. We were told that after the quality control team looked at the photos. They determined that it was not a defect in the shoe, but due to wear. WHAT??? Absolute lies and they only offered a 30% discount on another pair. I will never buy another pair of shoes from Cole Haan. And Iâll also mention that customer service was pretty snotty and accused us of lying. %uck this company.

They pictured them on the site with a delivery time of 5-7 days, now here I am several days PAST the delivery date, and STILL have not received my order.
To add an insult to this fiasco, they actually had the nerve to send me an email offering a 20% discount......on a FUTURE purchase!
When I called customer service, I got a lame excuse from them stating that "their system has not updated, so therefore, I would just have to wait for an update on my order".

Grandpro Topspins wore out too fast!
Iâve been a loyal customer, but my second pair of Cole Haan shoes has really let me down. After wearing the Grandpro Topspins fewer than 25 times in an office setting, the front is already creased and worn out. I expected much better from a brand known for quality, but it seems they arenât backing their products. Sadly, I wonât be buying from Cole Haan again.

Terrible brand experience
Iâve bought 4 pairs of trainers. stitching came away for one pair , retailer couldnât replace as out of stock. Contacted Colehan service was dire said they couldnât replace them even when they have the trainers in stock as their âsystems â would allow it. We have bought a lot of shoes from Cohen and they have been great, but I bought a purse and hardly got to use it and the straps are falling apart. When I contacted them about it, they told me it had been too long. I bought it at the end of summer last year so I only got to use it for a couple weeks. I brought it out to use it this summer and used it for a couple weeks and the straps are falling apart like crazy. I will never buy another Cole Haan purse. And as much as we like the shoes, I might not buy any more of them either because itâs really annoying that they wonât do anything to fix the situation.
The company is a fraud
The company is a fraud. Cole Haan ripped me off. UPS says it was delivered to an address and signed by "NAPIER". The package was not delivered at the address and no one named "NAPIER" works at the location. However, Cole Haan REFUSED to file a claim with UPS. UPS says the only Cole Haan can file a claim. I will never buy from CH again.
Bad Quality Practically brand new ColeHaan shoes blown out
I had a practically brand new pair of Colehann Nike Air wedge shoes that I bought 2 years ago. Had properly stored in a climate controlled room. When I went to wear them this year I wore them to the car, out of the car into two side by side stores. After the second store ( about an hour total) I noticed after getting back into my car that both of my shoe heels were completely blown out. Mind you they were practically brand new. I contacted ColeHaan customer service and they more or less said there was nothing they would do to remedy my loss. I would not recommend a shoe brand or any product for that matter that the company does not stand behind its product. After this experience I personally will never purchase anything ColeHann again. I suggest that you really consider throwing your good hard money after this crappy no good junk!
