I know that the increase of interest


I know that the increase of interest rate is not your fault. But still you have potion. I think your loan is too commercialized to be called a student loan.

Kevin - Thank you for sharing your feedback. We strive to keep our rates competitive, but several factors determine the interest rate including both the applicant’s and cosigner’s credit in addition to the loan repayment option selected, and we provide all the details about the interest rate for the customer to accept prior to making the loan.

High loan interest rate despite exceptional credit score

Positive
It's easy to apply and get loans online.
Negative
1. It took several calls and a few weeks to resolve an issue with an old account information interfering with my access to the College Ave website.
2. My first parent loan of $3000 had interest rate of 3.99%. I paid off this loan before applying for a second loan in the amount of $15000. With my exceptional credit score of 830-840 I expected to get the loan at least at the same rate (if not lower). But the rate increased to 4.99% (while the FED rate during that time had remained unchanged).

Interest rates are determined at the time of application based on several factors, including market conditions and the applicant's overall credit profile, so rates may differ from one application to the next even for returning borrowers with excellent credit.
