Very prompt detailed replies, understanding of what I’m considering and educating me on what the options are.

Horrible experience buying a $12k bike from Competitive Cyclist.
First the bike was shipped 5 days late, then before it shipped I asked the supervisor to go line by line confirming each item only to learn that they had installed the wrong stem, which delayed the shipment even more. Then when the bike arrived, the rear brakes didn't work which totally conflicted with the "quality checklist" they shipped with the bike. After all of the problems, and having to pay Velofix $279 to repair the brakes, they refused to pay for the repair and instead told me to either pack and return the bike "or the matter closed."
Also, their "gearhead" staff are sketchy and constantly try to sell you things you don't want.
They're "customer service" and quality are horrible. Don't buy a bike from Competitive Cyclist.

I arranged to send back the item that was too small, and got a replacement item that is more expensive, but was discounted.

Brett was great!! I had an issue with an order through PayPal and he was going to refund the $. But he kept digging and found the order. Great customer service, and I got to chat with a real, live human!!

Great help for this purchase, also super friendly and was very knowledgeable on these continental ties ! Thanks again and can’t wait to receive before race day

First interaction, with a completely different rep was terrible. The person said "they could" discount the item of question, but didn't. Chat found a different rep. Tamara was awesome and quickly found a solution to the price match/question and saved the sale, as I was about to buy from a different retailer. Tamara was professional and went above and beyond what I expected. And I've been in bicycle retail management for over 15 years, and over 20 years in customer service management. Thank you Tamara!

Brian Sloan is a truly outstanding gearhead. I came to him wanting to build a bike with very specific needs and sizing. I didn't want to buy a stock bike where I would have to replace a bunch of parts just to get it to fit me. His knowledge and expertise on bikes, components, and specs took a complex process and streamlined it. Brian stayed with me through the entire build and the end result was a beautiful bike that is exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend him.
