I ordered Brett Martin gutters from Condell on 7th August. On 12th these were delivered, same day we had 5 other deliveries from other building merchants. Once the builders fixed soffits and fascia boards, they moved on to the gutters only to realise that 5 adjustable offsets were missing. I contacted Condell on 21st to request the missing parts, but was told as it's outside of 48 hours since delivery, nothing they could do. These are not cheap, and I'm going to have to pay £200+ plus delivery charge for someone else's error! Where we had wrong parts delivered by another merchant at the same time, they sent a replacement to fix their fault. Don't expect this kind of service from Condell! Now I know we should have checked within 48 hrs, but you want to trust people, especially where we have deliveries coming left, right and centre and can't physically check everything promptly. Clearly, Condell can't be trusted, I'm afraid. Brett Martin delivered, but they won't accept liability either.

I placed my order for slab insulation on June 5th 2025 and chose next day delivery the 6th of June at a cost of £55.00 , When I received my order conformation it estimated delivery on June 10th after several emails I was told that the insulation would be delivered from there suppliers , today is the 10th of June not had any conformation on the delivery time so contacted Condell to be told they would contact the courier and email me back with conformation of the delivery , No email came through after waiting 1 and a half hours so called them again , they say they are still waiting for a reply from the carrier. I have a plasterer coming on Friday and the walls are no where near ready and I still don't have my insulation , Really have been let down wish I have bought from someone else as Condell are unreliable so DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM IF YOU ARE ON A FIXED TIME SCALE

Got caught out with lead times on lintels when I initially ordered, both from condell and from other builders merchants, as I required a less common type. Rang condell to see what they could do and they spent the time to ring manufacturers to find which ones were available for fastest dispatch. They sorted me out for the three lintels I needed, delivered within a week. Price was better than other merchants as well, and the delivery change wasn't very much. Great service.

We wanted 2 lintels and Condell were by far the cheapest even with the delivery charge to Leicestershire. We were a little concerned about negative reviews on here to be honest. I spoke to Marc Jacobs regarding a few queries we had and decided to go ahead and order.
He responded immediately late on Monday afternoon and we received the lintels on Wednesday lunchtime - fabulous service!

The quality of the lintels is great and we would have no hesitation in using them again or recommending to others.

Sales team were very good at keeping in contact and had a hassle free experience when I asked to change delivery date for a catnic lintel. The delivery driver did not complete on my specified day as they didn't knock or call when they arrived, but Condell were great at rearranging and keeping me up to date to make sure everything arrived safely. Thanks!

The cheapest Velux windows I could find online and Marc (the manager) was very good with communication. There was a small delay with delivery but he sorted the situation quickly.

Very nice branch manager assured me that will be the Tuesday so we arranged builder to be on site to fit ,
No one came tried to contact nice manager Marc no response to email tried to catch him on the phone no response no call back .
IF you want to get something on time please avoid this company if possible as you won’t get and contact is the same as delivery total rubbish

Missold a prehistoric velux kit by a misleading website.
Employees agreed it was misleading, and yet we're still liable to pay over £50 delivery to return a missold item.

Can't make it up

Very poor delivery service. Like every other builders merchants these days once they’ve taken your money , they are sticking 2 fingers up at you. I ordered 2 lintels off them for Radcliffe Manchester and before I paid I asked when they’d be delivered. You pay £60 for delivery by the way. They give you all the pitch it will be within 2 working days…. Here I am 2 weeks on. One lintel turned up. Jobs been stopped for 2 weeks through them. Avoid…. Source local.

Disgusting service. Give out delivery dates they don't stick to, with no update, explanation or apology, so don't be too hopefully if you're waiting in for your items.
When mine arrived it looked like it'd been in the bullring - squashed, bent, packaging a mess! I wouldn't be too hopeful if you're expecting your items to be new either.
I phoned to arrange a return, I could tell straight away they were going to make it difficult, their advice = put it on Ebay, or an extortionate collection charge. Absolutely shocking. Can you imagine taking something back to lets say, a supermarket, and being told to put it on Ebay? I'm not talking about a £10 item here either, I'm out of pocket over £150.
A company that delivers damaged items, out of timescale, and then makes it impossible to return them does not deserve anyone's business in this day and age.

Very competitive prices and quick delivery with no issues. Unfortunately their customer service is pretty poor for anything other than a straightforward sale. We were looking for a return/exchange but it was impossible to get hold of the original sales person, and apparently no one else was able to deal with it.

Tried emailing and calling several times over about a week before giving up and going elsewhere.

Could be just a staffing/process issue but certainly felt like they couldn't be bothered to get involved.

Unfortunately doubt we'll be using them again.

Great price and excellent service here. I needed an unusual lintel (spec and length) and spoke to Matt who was very helpful. He told me they were shown as stock but I asked him to check in yard as have been caught like that before which he willingly did and confirmed. Told me delivery date and explained that might take + 5 days because they use contract delivery and it was a large heavy item but it arrived next day as suggested. Definitely buy from Condell again.

Filled in their contact webpage and sent it off into the ether - but no response. Tried a different tack: traced their email address and emailed them, but the outcome was the same - no response. If they won't communicate I shan't waste my time on them in future

I've bought from Condell several times over the years but after this experience it's the end of the road with them. Utterly, utterly useless.

I bought 6 lintels, selected my delivery day, got an acknowledgement, they didn't arrive. Long story short - I got a part delivery last week plus one item that was completely wrong. Ten days late, I'm still trying to sort it.

They promise to ring back and don't. They tell you it's been collected by courier or blame the courier for not picking it up but either way, it's still not here. They don't answer the phone half the time. They don't reply to voicemails or e-mails. The "live chat" with "Customer Services" is a dead parrot, pining for the fjords. I've been stuck at number 2 in the queue so long I've given up. And of course, the IT system been down, or is probably about to go down as soon as I put the phone down. That's never a good sign but always a good excuse.

Others suppliers are a couple of quid more expensive and bomb proof reliable in comparison. Use one of them. I don't know if Condell are just too busy to cope or have the wrong people at the sharp end.

I have had to raise a dispute with my credit card company related to an order with Condell after this was cancelled and not refunded. No reply from Customer Service despite several emails sent.
I don't care if they are hundreds of pounds cheaper on products in the future, I would never bother to order from them again.

Very knowledgeable and friendly sales team, helped me chose the right product and almost half the price of a known reputable builder merchants. Also delivery next day, all the way in deepest, darkest Cornwall.

We have been using Condell's for years, Jake is very efficient and helpful. We always recommend Condell's when it comes to lintels, bricks and blocks.

Have been buying bricks from Condells in Horsham since they opened the depot , and Sutton before that. A first rate service from Jake and David who have never made promises that they couldn't keep. Not only do they keep a wide range of heavyside products at the yards , but transact direct to site loads with the same efficiency and lack of drama. One of my top suppliers in 2020 and again in 2021
