COOKES is not just a music shop that has probably everything you’d ever need as a musician it’s a shop that has shown the testament of time and is an iconic part of the Norwich high street. This store is family run and has extremely knowledgable staff that can advise on the huge range of products that they hold on site.

One key factor for me is that there is what you could only call a “guitar doctor” working at the store to fix, upgrade, change pickups, problem solve and ofcourse set up your guitars.....you name it Ben can do it! This is very unique and very useful service to have within the store itself. Life saving at times if you have a gig that night and you need something doing to your guitar quickly!

Another great thing is the option to trade in you old instruments and upgrade to something new or the latest thing without the hassle of having to go through the rigmarole of selling your old instrument online.

UK music shops need musicians support otherwise there won’t be as many for us to visit so give Cookes a try if you haven’t done already!

I wanted to purchase an electronic drum kit but was unsure what was best suited to me.Tom , one of the drum staff, provided fantastic information and helped mr to purchase the right kit at the right price. Brilliant local independent shop!

Online prices from a proper bricks and mortar shop, not a warehouse! Great stock of big brands, happy to price match, free delivery on any orders over £100. Also able to setup and adjust new and used instruments to suit the customer. Highly recommend.
